Pros: Staff were super helpful and welcoming, location was a 10 minute walk from the main beach and high street area which meant it was quiet and peaceful, the hotel was very quiet whilst we were there which was great, they let us check in early and greeted us with a welcome drink.

Cons: would recommend spending the extra and getting a double room rather than a loft room as these are small and the air con was not very efficient in comparison, the room was quite clean although we did ask to have our bedding changed as it was marked and the same with the towels which had black stains on. The bathroom floor never felt clean and left a dusty/bitty feel on your feet. Breakfast was ok but it was really off putting as there were ants on the tables and serving areas.

Overall an ok stay but would not return. It feels like it needs some care and attention, especially the grounds which were covered in leaves/debris.

Having spent 16 days touring Vietnam and Cambodia our objective was to chill out for 10 days on an island within 2 or 3 hours of Bangkok. Koh Samet was a great choice but it wouldn't have been as good if we hadn't booked into the Lima Bella resort.Firstly it's great value. Set back 5 minutes walk from Sai Kaew beach it is an oasis of calm. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable with good air-conditioning and WiFi. The pool was lovely and, for most of the day, we were the only guests there. Breàkfast was good and constantly being replenished by the attentive staff. Cocktails and beers at the bar were cold and good value.
Our transfer back to Bangkok by tuk-tuk,ferry,motor bike with sidecar and taxi was professionally organised by Bee & Nong and went like a dream.
Above all, this hotel has brilliant staff. Helpful, friendly and constantly smiling. So thanks Ann,Jai,Keng,Tan and everybody else for a wonderful stay.

Can not fault any of the staff. True Thai hospitality and attention to detail. Nothing was a bother for them. Guests temperatures were checked daily. Loft room was fine for a short stay. Location is close to beach and town. Breakfast was great too. In these times of travel challenges I just hope the pool had stayed open for a few more days. Missing the vodka lychee. Keep safe.

I expect more. the location of hotel is horrible, lots of trashes and things outside my doorstep. but atleast, it's not too far from the beach. the room is....not really what I expect. there is no coffee machine, safe, closet, whatsoever. I've been to 2 stars hotel and they got all of those things. the bathroom is clean, but not absouloutely gorgeous, just a plain bathroom. the balcony of room is perfect, it was clean and nice. I slept on an extra bed and it is surprisingly comfortable. the food is honestly too simple. fried rice, sausages, omelettes, water, juice...don't expect too much....there's not even a bacon! BACON! NOT EVEN A BACON! I'm disappointed. a pool is a bit dirty with leaves and stuff, but is not disgusting, it is too small though. service is alright. the staff are mostly not thai...burmese, I guess? but they're fine, not too goofy. there is this waitress girl in hotel's restaurant who really impress me, she sounds so sweet! her name is ANN! just another shout out :) and guys, if you're not thai and are tourists BECAREFUL! there might be a police or guys who will told you on the beach that you need to pay to swim, it is false! just walk away! my mom almost pay that fraud, but she is smart so she ignore him!

The hotel is not bad, but it is overpiced:
1- The staff is very friendly;
2- The swimming pool is nice;
3- It is quiet and calm;
4- It is far from the beach (even using a short-cut) and the road is in bad condition;
5- Breakfast is only a bit more than basic;
6- Tv with only one international (movies) channel;
7- Room (at least, mine) with no closet or other room to put your clothes in.
8- Cleaning is made quickly and not so carefully..

I repeat, it is not a bad hotel, but i think you can have cheaper (I mean cost/benefit) and better located.

The best thing about this place is the staff who are young, enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and charming. They really can't do enough for you. Ann in particular stood out, but really they were all great, the best I've encountered.
I enjoyed the breakfasts and the pool and dining area were nice and relaxing. The room was a little different with the bed upstairs in the loft, but that made an interesting change.
Negatives - no laundry service, a 5 minute walk to the beach and the Wi-fi came and went, but the service was so good, I forgive all those faults. I'd definitely stay there again.

Stayed for 4 nights including Christmas day. Loved the secluded location, and didn't mind the walk of a few minutes to the beach (longer if you use the road, rather than going through the Sai Keaw Resort!). Staff are extremely friendly, cheerful and attentive. Breakfast in the open air was lovely.

I would definitely recommend a taxi ride (THB 200 each way) to the sister hotel, Lima Coco, at Ao Prao on the west side of the island. It's a much quieter beach, the water is breathtakingly clear, and you get a 15% discount on food and drinks as a Lima Bella resident. Deck chairs are provided free of charge.

Very good value for money - highly recommended.

Starting with a positive note ..... the staff were friendly, attentive and speak good English. Boat transfer was good.

Now the bad ...... I had a Grand Deluxe room. There was nothing grand nor deluxe about it. For the price, it was a disgrace. It had a tv, safe and day bed. The double bed was infact two singles together. Amenities were minimal. The room resembled a backpacker hostel room. Very basic. Space to hang clothes was an iron rod, no towel holders, stained ceiling and walls, and curtains weren't block-out. My room was on the second floor at the back of the hotel. View was a rubbish tip in a tropical setting.

Worse still, this is a Chinese group tour hotel. They took over the place, no where to sit at breakfast, almost all smoked at breakfast, no concept of queues or personal space, or personal possessions.

Breakfasts were not bad..... except for one morning, a tour group took all fruit from the breakfast bar into plastic bags. Nothing left.

It was difficult to use the pool because of lap swimmers. Kids were pushed out of the way.

Location of the hotel is not great. It's about 800m to the beach and shops. No cut-throughs.

this place is the last place in our holiday and we so impress with it
we got a big and lovely room and it so quiet.
the staff were very friendly they're all smile and say hi to us every time we walk by make me feel so welcome.
the swimming pool was lovely but it not enough bed to sunbath.
the place are very quiet make me feel separate from the town.
the hotel a little bit far from the beach i wouldn't recommend if u are a women on ur own as the street are quite dark at night.
the taxi on this street are drive like a formula1 so be careful when u walking around.
i read the review here about ppl get fine from bring food in so i quite scare but i brough lots of snack and water in without a problem maybe because i didn't do it too obvious. so the staff couldn't see it. i would recommend buy it and put it on ur bag,

breakfast are the best, we are really enjoy the breakfast there are 4 dish of thai food and it change every day, french toast and waffle are my fav some salad and fruit and egg are make from order :)

food in the hotel restaurant are really nice and same price as outside.

this is the place that i'll recommend to all my friends and i'll definitely go back.

If you are looking for somewhere that is really near the fun and noise of the beach, whilst being quiet and secluded itself, then this is the place to go. It is set back from the beach, in a bit of jungle with a great pool area. It is a 5 min walk into the main stretch of shops etc., and a 3 min walk to the beach. The staff here are the friendliest I've ever met - so a big shout-out and thank you to Pla, Ann, May, Nong, and Tua-Lek; you made our stay and memories that will last a lifetime.

Can take a short ride (any vehicle at the pier) which cost 100baht per pax... i took the lorry without roofing from the pier 😊 and its within walkig distance as well... about 10min. I would suggest u to take a lorry ride to the resort. And afterwhich, following times u may walk to the pier after familiarisibg urself with the area 😀

What is the shuttle

Hi Ericettisch, you can take a taxi ride from airport to Ban Phe Pier. the journey is about 3hours and cost about $1000 - $1,500 baht. Alternatively, you may choose to take a bus, available at the Airport, at a cheaper alternative. I can't remember the price per pax for this bus shuttle service but it is relatively cheaper but definitely way longer journey as there are stopovers. Either choices, you will have to take a 30min ferry journey from Ban Phe Pier to Ko Samet Island itself. Upon arrival at the pier terminal, you will take another 7 - 10min walk to the resort OR a 3min ride, costing about 100baht per pax.
