The hotel has a really nice secluded location. Really quiet, and nice in all possible ways.
The room and bathroom looks actually like the pictures clean and comfy. For the offered price, this is a little gem of an resort. The architecture and style is really very attractive. Restaurant site on the beach is really inviting and their food selections are awesome delicious!
The Chef provides excellent genuine Thai dishes with perfect flavors. also the waiters and waitresses are doing good job particularly the man from Bangladesh. He is so service minded, every time he came to our table he is very accommodating and correct.
Now the breakfast had a few Asian options but absolutely were NOT as good as you might expected from the high price for the rooms. The fruit selections are very limited to water melon, dragon fruit and pineapples. It can be much better as Thailand offered delicious Asian fruits and more important more in balance with this Resort.
Breakfast staff are not genuine waiters but more like internship students, if you asked them something they do not understand you exactly what you meant. All of them are passively during breakfast time.
Milk jar on the buffet is lukewarm and not kept cold in ice (this is Asia with temperatures above 29 degrees Celsius) and there are more issues here at the breakfast buffet.
I noticed for once that the buffet skirts show holes and stains that are not representative of a resort of this class. In this respect I’ve already mentioned the internship students serving here as a waiter not one person is pro active . A true professional waiter will correct that imperfection.
The breakfast is held in the reception room which every morning to be turned into a breakfast room. In that respect it is not suitable to have guests their breakfast in this reception room, this room is COLD, UGLY and has NO ambiance at all!
The breakfast style is absolutely NOT in balance with the rest of the Resort which is gorgeous and stylish!

The hotel is really good and everything we expected. The rooms are spacious and very nice and are cleaned every day. The pool is small but really beautiful, the whole hotel was built in traditional Thai style and is very clean. The beach is just a few steps away and so are the best beach restaurant on Samed (at the Samed Villa hotel) and Silversand bar for late night cocktails. Breakfast was a bit poor. The downside was the beach itself- with high tide hardly any place to lay down, had to rent beach chairs and a rough sea with high waves. The better alternative was to go to Ao Prao for the day, the beach there was amazing, no waves at all and saw the best sunsets there. With the songtiew just 5 minutes away, with a scooter even faster. The resort is quiet and even though almost on the beach, still secluded so the nightrest is assured. Will definitely stay again, because it was more than worth the relative low price (compared to the Ao Prao resorts).

Good resort with a relaxed feeling and nice personnel.
The rooms are modern and clean and at high standard. Breakfast is a mix of Thai and western stiles
I recommend this resort for all kind of vacation.

Fantastic affordable hotel with fresh rooms and friendly staff. We stayed two adults and three children (ages 7,11,14) in a family connecting room (two double rooms) and there was plenty of space.
The breakfast was fresh and a good selection.
The pool fulfilled its function (but bring mosquito repellent in the afternoon), they had pool/beach towels.
The rooms were fresh for their standard and cleaned thoroughly.
The staff - super nice.
The location - top class! Close to everything but still completely quiet in the evenings. We loved being able to walk barefoot to the beach and to the restaurants.
The beach - right below the day water flows, a bit unfresh and strangely enough it was packed with people. One day we rented sunbeds at Samed Villa, the hotel next door, (which by the way had very good food) but we found our favorite part of the beach later, walk over to the mermaid statue and rent chairs at Toks little Hut. Finest part of the whole of Ao Phai.

Hygiene alert: BED BUGS. Our family stayed in this hotel in early July 2020 for 4 nights. Our fourth stay here. Understandably, the breakfast was not what it used to be because of the covid situation in Thailand (few customers meaning worse service). But we got bitten by bed buds or fleas, especially me but also my kids. Very itchy and unpleasant as you can imagine. The staff changed my bed sheet but it did not help.
OK, they did not deliberately plant them in my bed but it is not the product i was paying for either. My wife wrote a comment in the hotel form, I sent an email: NO COMMUNICATION. A situation that can be solved but this hotel is probably happy as the covid thing must be just a minor hiccup. Good for them. Problems can happen and I would not make a big deal out of it but the total lack of communication is something you should consider when booking. Look elsewhere too. (BTW, Avatara resort is in the same group).

Total disappointment. Tablecloths at breakfast were either dirty or broken and we couldn't always find a seat, sometimes we ate on the deckchairs by the pool. They put us in a basement without windows, terrible and at our request, more than legitimate, to have a more "normal" housing solution they requested another payment. Bathroom like the steps down, slippery and dangerous if wet. Poorly trained staff. Not recommended. Never again'

The hotel is quite well located. The rooms are spacious and clean. The rain shower in my room did not work and the sink was clogged. The batteries in the safe were flat, they were supposed to replace them but they forgot. There is a TV but the picture quality is very poor.
There is a list in the room with all the fines you can get, not very nice. The breakfast is rather simple, the tables are not set and the staff is not alert at all.

A little expensive.. But worth it. Great service from the staff. Well kept rooms and a great little pool for the kids. The breakfast was the best I've had on Samed for 20 years. The rooms very new and comfortable. They could improve by having satellite TV, but we are not there to watch the TV. Also they could buy some beach space for guests, but personally letting the kids swim km the pool, sand free, was better. Very close to eating areas but secluded enough to be romantic. The best resort in the area. We'll done guys.

As staying in thailand from last 7 years I know personally what the meaning of “Thai Hospitality”, but first time I feel in a hotel that staff actually forget about this point.
From welcome is the worse experience we had in hotel and of course if your welcome not ok then nothing is ok.
Nobody come to help us for luggage, no welcome drink or water offer, no proper details about deposit and so on.
Rooms are beautiful and pool is amazing for kids no doubt on this. For this point we very happy to choose this property.

Overall I say that management need a refresh training for team. No matter guest is local or foreigner or Asian or what but you need to treat everyone at same level.

Family with children did visit this hotel during december.
This hotel is pretty goos compared what Koh Samet do offer.
The breakfast have a couple of choices but that not much. The breakfast is infront of reception and there isnt that many table or seats so sometimes you have to wait until its your turn to get a table.
The room we had was very spacious, but there are some mosquitos in the room and in hotel area.
The pool was ok, not that big, but still ok as it isnt that many guests that use it at the same time.
