Stayed in a very nice newly renovated room. Location is superb at one end of the Vong Duan beach and quiet. Nice pool area too. Staff was also very nice and helpful, especially Juliet and Damm. What brings the overall rating down is the breakfast. Now, I am a vegetarian, had I been a carnivore I might have felt differently. Anyway, on this tropical island there was hardly any fruit on the breakfast buffet. Definitely no fruit salad, just some small pieces of watermelon and pineapple. There was no yoghurt and worst of all, no brewed coffee. It was possible to order cappuccino from the reception, and pay for it, which I did but in the morning I really like large cups of ordinary brewed coffee. If they get the breakfast right I will come back.

Location is a huge plus for this resort. They are one of the very few "good" resorts in this 'Ao Vongduen' beach. Sunshine is the manager of this property who speaks good english. Yes, his name is sunshine. He did offer me a discount on the fare and also was very resourceful. He also rented us a scooter at a great price, which we used to explore the island. I have to mention about the location again. The beach is a small semicircle , which could be about 400 metres in length and this resort is at one end of the beach (semi-circle). This makes the resort very secluded and private and you have the beach all for yourself. Sand, Water & depth - everything perfect here in this beach. If i get a chance, I will get back to Vongduern villa again.

We stayed here as our usual hotel was booked. We booked a beach front bungalow but it wasn't what we expected or how it looked in the photos. Beach Front means in front of the beach but they had build an ugly raised swimming pool which has apparently never opened between the 'beach front bungalows and the beach so they are no longer beach front and the raised swimming pool was blocking the view. The bungalows were not that nice with absolutely nowhere to put clothes other than a hanging rail in the shower room (go figure!). after a couple of days they moved us to a room further along which was no longer on the beach but at least right in front of the sea and this room was much nicer. The first room was also a mosquito trap with dirty untreated water in the pool. The location is lovely at the far end of a nice beach but the sea here is very shallow and it's difficult to swim. There were also very few sun beds and those that there were, were really uncomfortable. Service was hit and miss and breakfast OK. The surroundings of the hotel are lovely and the cottage style rooms are nice. It's all a bit run down though and could be really lovely with a few improvements and TLC.

The beach is good and the hotel location is not bad. But the staff lack hospitality and have poor problem handling. We booked 6 rooms for 2 nights and arrived before the check-in time. Despite the rooms looking ready (they took me to see each room), they wouldn't let us check in early. But whatsoever, we could wait. Time passed by, not even a single glass of water was offered. They told us that we could use toilets, towels and beach chairs free of charge. How special was that! Then 14.00, check-in time, I kindly asked them to let other guests go to their rooms cuz everyone was so tired while I would be at the front desk clearing the bill which I had paid 50% earlier. But they said no, I had to fully pay first or else they wouldn't let anyone in. What hospitality! And I just discovered later that if you booked a car, speedboat via them, there'll be an extra charge at different prices depending on which staff you're talking to, while at other hotels, they're willing to help you free out of extra charge and some hotels even ask you what time you'll be arriving so that they could prepare the rooms for you in advance.

Fantastic stay for 3 nights smack bang on the beach. Everything is perfect and staff were most helpful with everything. They can organise a boat to Ban Phe for 300 Bht/person for you and you can rent a scooter for 400/day. The rooms are a bit dated but who can blame them after lockdowns. Great pool, beach is clean and swimmable. Bring insect repellent spray as there are lots of mozzies.

Stayed here for 3 nights 6 July 2022 to 9 July 2022. Very nice bungalow, clean and nice comfortable beds and nice bathroom, I would defiantly recommend the place to anybody if they were looking for a place in this area. the breakfast was very good and other meals that they offered. The staff were very helpful at all times and could not make me feel more welcome.
The are also bars and restaurants close by and a shop so you are not cut off by staying at this place. Also you will find it good value for your money.

Simply amazing! If you want to get away from it all and just relax in a peaceful environment to decompress, this IS THE PLACE!

I stopped in while exploring the different beaches of Koh Samet and this one was stunning. Better yet, the staff was beyond welcoming and friendly. Manager Chris, Asst. Mgr. Julia, and Barista Atoon go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Moreover, they gave me a tour and invited me to sit under a 100 year old tree to enjoy my morning coffee while looking out over the sea in their coffee shop complete with a million dollar view!

This property is good for your mind, body, spirit and soul. Close to everything, yet far from the noise, music, and crowded beaches of Sai Kaew. And best yet, no vendors to bother you when you are trying to take a nap.

Do yourself a favor and stay here. You will be glad you did and the staff will be too!

I’m definitely coming back.

Absolutely wonderful. The staff are fabulous, informative and friendly and have really helped to make my stay on the island more adventurous and fun than it would otherwise have been.
The place is quiet and perfect for a relaxed break from life off the island.
I will definitely be back.

Me and my family have been there every year, at least 4 times a year for the last 7 years each time we stayed 4-7 days.My in law always stayed for 3 weeks alomost year. We even have our wedding reception there back in 2010.
Love the beach there because the location is good, specially if you have a little kid. Not to busy with people because it's at the end of the beach.
I made a called in September to booked 3 rooms 6 nights during New year2016. They inform me that the resort have been take over and the price have changed to about 4000 baht a night, even though it's more than i used to pay but we are ok with it. And everything was fine untill mid November they called me to let me know that the room i booked the price is raise to 6300 per night. If i am not willing to pay that price they will cancle my booking. So....i let them cancel and i will look else where.
This is really unprofessional of them, the manager is which i know very well told me that he have tried to talk to the new owner. About we are regular customer over the years as so on but nothing he can do. So he called me and apologize. I never know any resort or hotel to change the price after booking.Even though a lots of good memories are there, but i don't think i will go back there again.
By the way...now there changed the name to " C Samed resort"

Hi Judy, I like the island as it's less commercial. The bay where the hotel is a lot quieter than the other bays and suits us perfectly. You can walk around to the next 3 bays and explore. We also hire a bike and tour around the island stopping for an ice-cream along the way or watch the sun set with a beer. Only downfall is paying the national park fee on boat arrival. I always prefer the speed boat as opposed to the slow ferry.

No idea. We ate on the same beach. The map on tripadvisor should give you an idea of how near it is to shops etc
