Rooms seams to be ok (ours even has sea view), more or less clean, but the bed is not comfortable at all. I think this hotel too expensive (no swimming pool and breakfast just ok) for Thailand standard. The best thing about Tubtim hotel is the location far enough away from the Sai Kae a long busy beach full of noise chinese people. Tubtim hotel it gives you some quietness and at the same time opportunity to walk to other night bars or restaurants. Anyway, although I advise Tubtim, Koh Samet isn't the best Thai island to stay, that's for sure...

My last visit to Tubtim was 4 years ago and the place remains the same. A bit better value this time around simply by paying far, far less. At one point there was a pier being built on the beach but I guess it was temporary as it is no longer there, the beach is as beautiful as ever. Service in the restaurant had improved. Breakfast as expected of this type of resort. The mosquitoes are still hovering like crazy - bring plenty of mosquito repellent.

Amazing location by the beach. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Around 10 minutes in a taxi from the main pier. Huts are all detached. Resort is built into a hill so if you have one of the back huts there will be a few steps. I only had a ceiling fan - no air con. Very quiet yet less than 10 minutes walk to lively beach bars and restaurants. Good value for money. Idyllic location. Sea is warm and safe sandy beach. Would highly recommend.

The location is absolutely gorgeous but the lodging is old and not well maintained, tap was leaking and there were blood stains on the sheets. Food was very average and hygiene could be improved as we unfortunately got food positioning. The service was bad, perhaps because there were a lot of new staff who spoke no English. Altogether not the best experience.

Not the best experience. The garden bungalow is very tired and needs renovation. Shower was old, water from the sink barely came out. One of the towels was dirty when I checked into the room. The bathroom wasn't very well cleaned, as there was left over soap from someone else still there. The room has only one plug to charge your phone and the plug wasn't good, phone charger was hanging out from the plug - don't think it was the safest. The room itself was really dark, TV barely worked and no instructions how to use the safe. Managed to lock my stuff in there, so decided not to use it. Breakfast was alright, nothing special. Umbrellas at the beach run out, the chairs are quite old. The place in general is tired and needs an upgrade.

Dirty, Dated and Dilapidated #Tabtim Resort.
Mosquito Paradise.

Booked "garden" view. Got a roof view.

No hand towels or Shower Mats. Water pressure is a problim. Shall hand held shower which gets flooded.

Dirty White see through curtains.

No kettle in room.

No telephone.

Restaurant is rather expensive (50 THB for a small packet of lays.

Dirty Fan and Aircon.

Several notices to keep your belongings safe, which makes one feel very uncomfortable.

Resort is quite far away from the centre.

Doesn't have or offer laundry service.

Room wasn't cleaned for 3 days while staying here.

It's a relaxed escape, we didn't eat at the resort. Went next door mucg better quality and reasonably priced.

Went to Silversand Bar which is 40% cheaper that #Tabtim.

Hi How to reach the resort if coming via ferry? Thanks

You can take a pick up taxi that will cost you 100 to 400 THB to your resort on the island. 200 THB toward middle of island + fee of national park per person. Can not remember how much exactly but around 160 THB for entry. 'Tis.

They had electricity in the rooms I've stayed in. Sometimes you have to be creative with cords though as the outlets are in unusual locations and don't hold the plug in tightly. But that is most places in Thailand. If you arrive and your room is ill-equipped, just talk to the manager. Be sure to smile a lot and ask really nicely. Make sure you don't act angry or upset because that is culturally very aggressive. Smile and ask if it's possible to change rooms- show them your machine and mimic using it and they should take care of you.
