The hotel has a restaurant and bar located on the beach with reception and the rooms a step over the quiet narrow road. Check in was smooth and we were able to get our room from 12:30 which was earlier than the booking advised. The rooms are a short walk and would be unsuitable for wheelchair users. Within the grounds are trees and water features which make it a lovely setting. In the rooms they are modern, well lit, comfy beds, nice bathroom/ dressing room area and it has a fridge and coffee/ tea/ water complimentary.
Downside - the food from the restaurant was ridiculously slow with 2 of the meals not even coming out. Food and drinks prices are more expensive than the ‘Toks’ beach hut next door. You do have to pay tax to be on the Island which is charged at 200bt per person. We watched the fire show down the beach which was well worth watching.
The rooms are a great size, nice and clean & the staff here were all very nice and helpful. The resort has a nice beachfront bar/restaurant with good meals at a really great price.
Had a nice time here and would chose to stay here again.
After returning to the beach. And then everything is forgotten. From breakfast to evening aperitif everything happens on the beach, the bar, the restaurant with your feet in the sand under the trees.
The rooms are clean, the room and maintenance staff are very efficient. Beanbags, small armchairs and small tables are everywhere on the beach under the trees. The beach is very clean, a small downside is the dogs, if you leave them alone they don't do anything to you, they will come to receive food and not give it.
As other people seemed to have had different experiences, let me add our experience last night. We hesitated because of reviews and when we saw the place was bigger than average. The staff managed to get us quickly a table for 8 people, came by after 5 minutes to take drink orders and a few minutes later we had our drinks and food orders were taken. All food came quick and was delicious, we mainly ordered Thai food (all of us have lived in Thailand for a few years), our only regret was that for some dishes we didn't specify reduced spicy so some dishes were spicy for some of us
Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, they were really nice.
Final note, we did arrive around 0830PM so maybe things were already calming down for them.
2. We don’t have our own sunbeds. As it turned out, you can’t occupy the bags and tables at the restaurant where breakfast is held all day. They kicked me out in disgrace when I went to have lunch, left my towels, and when I came back there were 2 gay men sitting on my blue towels and drinking beer 🙄 I had to leave to look for a sun lounger on a nearby beach for 80 baht.
3. Prices are very expensive. I was forced to pay extra money for food that I did not eat or drink! But since I was late for the boat, I had to pay!
I do not recommend this hotel at all!
The beach is wonderful!!! But the staff in the beach bar were disinterested and most of the time involved in their cellphones. It took sometimes ten minutes for a staff member to bring the drink menu.
Or when one placed an order, it somehow never came,,, so we decided to move to the next restaurant for our drinks or food.
I would never recommend this ever!!!
I should just have booked next door!
