we have been visiting the firth on a regular basis for a few years now and can honestly offer nothing but praise for the hosts dick and moira ,we are always made to feel welcome and at home and each visit gets better and better, the room sizes are very good and despite being on a main road very quiet ,access from the A74,and A75 north and south bound is excellent ,and the breakfasts are great .Thank you both for making us so at home

Seven of us 5 Adults and 2 children booked in at very short notice, 3 excellent rooms, immaculately clean and well appointed, a warm welcome, for both adults and children alike, good simple food, nice bar/lounge, we found the hosts dedicated and helpful and would stay here again at any future opportunity, one of our group has already returned, he enjoyed his stay so much!

Have stayed a few times now and always find the hosts extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is huge and fills you for the day! Rooms are nice, a bit of traffic noise at the front but nothing too bad. Having a well stocked bar at good prices means you don't have too far to fall into bed!

We stayed at this lovely little hotel at the end of last year. We had a great stay and found the staff very helpful and considerate. We had a very warm and comfortable room with a nice shower area which was great. The Scottish breakfasts were brilliant and plenty. Since staying there we have tried to book in on several occasions but, each time, the hotel has been fully booked and we have had to go elsewhere. What a pity as they were nowhere as good. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a place to stay. Full marks. Dr Alan Watson

I've come on to leave a review on behalf of my aunt and uncle who stay at the Firth regularly when they come to town and rave about it and I promised I would come on a write a review on their behalf. They started using the Firth when their usual B n B was full up but wouldn't change back now they've had such good service. They especially like the fact that it's not so central to be noisy but its still within walking distance of all the facilities in the town. Oh, and the friendly service and enormous breakfast! They specifically asked that I give it a 5/5 rating.

This was our last night of a 300 mile cycle tour in Scotland. We had stayed at Annan on our first night and thought it fitting to finish there with a lovely meal at Del Amitri.
Our previous. B&B was booked up so we went to the Firth. Nice people but the price didn't reflect quality of eqpt (bed, no hairdryer, TV not working) nor quality of breakfast in contrast to other places we stayed in.

The Firth has new management and is certainly excellent value for money. It is welcoming and the staff are very friendly. The room was large and airy with an ensuite shower room both of which were spotlessly clean and well furnished. The bar is friendly and welcoming and it serves a good number of locals. The only meal on offer is breakfast which is excellent and served with a smile. There is a wide range of restaurants within walking distance.

Small hotel with a bar on site. Nicely decorated and spacious. After traveling through England and staying at chain hotels, we were used to very small rooms, but this was a nice surpise. Owners were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this place and would stay there again.
