The check in experience was quick and friendly. We easily found our bungalow and there was plenty of car parking a short walk away. The bungalow was clean and had everything we needed for a base to explore Lake Garda. During our stay mould did start to appear near to the window in the bedroom. As we stayed in the off season we found the park to be quite quiet. We were the only ones on our row of bungalows for a few days but then a group arrived who were very noisy you could hear them flushing the toilet next door, signing Christmas songs in the middle of the night and playing Uno at 2am. The shop on site had any essentials you may need and the terrace restaurant was good for dinner. The ice cream was reasonably priced at the ice cream place on site.

We’ve been here twice now and the rooms always have a weird soggy smell. When we got here the mobile home was relatively clean but nothing special. As we were leaving we cleaned the house like every normal guest should, but before we could leave we were asked to do a thorough cleaning of the house, even though they have paid housekeepers, otherwise we couldn’t get our 50€ safety deposit back. I personally find this to be very bad business practice and unless you have no other choice I wouldn’t recommend the mobile homes. Otherwise the campsite is fine but the attitude towards paying customers is not what I would expect from a campsite with normally fine reviews.

Just come back from 7 nights here and this is an honest review! I am a travel agent and got a fab deal for half term! We travel a lot as a family and this is the first of this kind abroad. Camp site, not the best kept and accommodation very basic. Beds are hard but we slept very well considering. However we booked this on location and price and we go what we paid for. The main resort of Peschiera del Garda is only 20 minutes stroll, with some fab choices of restaurants which we eat out every night. The views are fab and is a lovely resort. We hired a bike one day from the bike shop onsite who are all so friendly. The other direction from the resort is Sirmione which we biked to with our 6 and 14 year old. Great little bike ride. We used Bella Italia as a base and travelled to Venice, Milan and Verona as well as getting a car too. So our days we spent our exploring Italy and this place is perfect for doing this. On an evening at Bella Italia we watched a couple of nights entertainment which our 6 year old enjoyed, the bouncy castle play park was fab and the rides on site - which was not expensive. A few evenings we went to the onsite cocktail bar - The staff here are so friendly and kind. Overall this resort isn't 5*, not luxury but a perfect budget campsite which is perfect for exploring Italy! We as a family wouldn't complain for what we paid and we did get what we paid for! There are plenty of places in Italy who offer higher standards, but these do come with a much higher price tag so putting this into context - Your holiday is what you make it and we had a fab time! If you love balcony vibes & BBQs this is also a great place to go!

Just on our last day of our holiday at Bella Italia. We booked through Eurocamp. Overall it’s been lovely and we’d definitely consider returning. Our toddler has really enjoyed it. Check-in/out - very straightforward and our room was ready before 3pm so we got to use it earlier than expected. Accommodation - Spacious & clean. Our oven didn’t fully work but wasn’t a big deal. Cot, high chair, changing mat were all provided for free. Location - Fab. Easy to walk places and managed a couple of day trips to local towns. Expect to do lots of walking. Food - no complaints. Found a couple of lovely restaurants nearby Atmosphere - felt very safe & family friendly. Wasn’t too busy in October Pools - Seen a few reviews that say the pools aren’t very clean. I wouldn’t necessarily agree with this. The bottom of the pool near the shallow end had sand & leaves but this is inevitable. The water itself was very clean. Very cold in October so we haven’t used it as much as we planned.

The staff are ignorant. rude and unhelpful. The accommodation is dirty and the surrounding areas of the site are not kept nice at all. The beds are the worse I've ever experienced with springs poking into you all night - I barely slept. Don't be fooled by the online photos, they are totally photoshopped. The site is very scruffy with an unpleasant atmosphere. The food tastes like it's microwaved with no flavour at all, some dishes were just uneatable. If you have no car, beware that their is no help with your luggage, so you have to walk half a mile with all your cases to your accommodation. When I asked if their is someone to help the answer was just 'no'. You are forced to pay your deposit in cash (no card) which means they can force money from you when you leave, and they will always find a way to steal your money. We got charge €30 euros because we had to leave for our flight at 7am and reception are not open. They said its a cleaning fee as no-one is around to check your room when you leave. Even though we left our room spotlessly clean. Their is never any duty manager onsight to complain to, the receptionist just say - Sorry there's no management here at the moment, followed by we're just reception - we don't make the rules this is our policy'. I really wish we avoided this campsite, it totally ruined our experience of Lake Garda!

We have just returned from a family holiday where we stayed in 2 x two bedroom bungalows. There were 8 of us in the party ages 4 to 66 and all our needs were catered for. The check-in was a little slow due to the fact several coaches arrived at the same time, but the reception staff were very polite and professional. The bungalows are a little basic, but clean and comfortable. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a fold down double bed in the kitchen are. There is plenty of wardrobe space, with several drawers. The safe is built into the wall, albeit a little small. There is a fridge of adequate size, microwave and 4 gas ring hob. The air conditioning was good, although it did breakdown once, but it was quickly repaired once I had reported it to reception. The bathroom is spacious with a walk-in shower, sink and WC. On the patio is a large table that was big enough for all 8 of us to sit around for breakfast. There are 5 pools with numerous slides more than enough to keep the kids happy. The only downside is there are limited sun beds, and there is a strict no reserving policy, and the life guards will remove any towels if the reserved sun beds are not occupied by 10:30 each day. There is a large supermarket on site which is well stocked with all the essentials, and a wonderful bakery section, across the piazza is a general store that stocks fresh fruit and vegetables, (we nicknamed it Arkwrights). There are other shops that sell inflatables, swimwear and other gifts. There are 2 restaurants on site, and although there was a short wait to be seated each night, that didn’t spoil our evenings. There are also a couple of takeaways. There is a Dr’s surgery for any medical needs. The lake is really nice, but the beaches are pebbled so coral shoes are a must. Sun beds and parasols are available to be hired. There are all sorts of water sports available, SUP,s, pedalo’s, speed boats, and sail boats. The main gates from the lake to the site are closed at 7:30 pm and not opened until 7:00 am. There is a main pedestrian gate though, with security to stop anyone who are not allowed on site. A short 15 to 20 minute walk along the lake takes you into Peschiera where there are restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. There is also a shuttle road train the goes to and from the town every hour. There were multi nationalities there, German, Belgian, Italians, Irish and of course Brits. All in all, we had a great time, and would definitely return.

One star is more then enough! Dirty, rude staff, pool was a free for all. And far too busy. Pitches was shocking. Food in all restaurants was bland and expensive. I wouldn’t go back if I was paid.

Just got back from a week in the bungalows, we were a family of 8 and stayed in 2 next door to each other, ages range from 4 to 66 and we had a lovely time … bungalows are basic’ but roomy and yes you could do with a toaster and or oven, but it didn’t spoil anything… the place was at capacity whilst we were there and yes a queue to check in, and it was a busy site, but both restaurants on site fitted our party in no problem…. You do need to get to the pool early to get beds, especially a large party but at 10.30 any beds reserved with towels were no one showed up the lifeguards removed the towels and opened up the beds so this was great to see… a multicultural site, German, Dutch, Irish, Italian as well as British…. We throughly enjoyed it and made a lot of family memories, it was lovely all of us in Lake Garda amongst the swans and ducks watching lightening in the distant mountains…

I have just got back from a week at BI. My family stayed in the bungalows and we booked direct with BI. I thought it might be helpful to list the pros and cons as I found reviews like that quite helpful in the past. So here we go…. Pros: - Location location location! Right on Lake Garda and just a 15min stroll along the lake to Peschiera. This pretty town is worth exploring in its own right and has some wonderful restaurants. - Check in/out Despite the negatives reviews, our check in was quick, had helpful staff and everything was made clear. Couldn’t fault it. Check out was the same. A small queue but it moved quickly. - The Staff. They were all great, from the reception staff to the cleaners. Really helpful. We had a leaking air con system and they came and fixed it straight away. Amazing! - On-site Bakery. Yes there was a little queue but we waited maximum 2 mins before being served. Super efficient and the bread is amazing. The croissants in particular were Definitely worth getting up for! Cost was about 1.10 euros for French stick and 50-70 cents per roll, Croissant were about 1 Euro each I think. - Lakeside restaurant was fab with great food as amazing pizza at approx 10 euros each. Defo book if you can. It’s worth getting the terrace for the views. So as you can see, lots of pros! But now for a few cons. These really didn’t ruin anything but more little niggles. Cons: - The ‘sun bed situation’. Yes the hype is true. You really need to queue to get a sun bed. It was very busy in the pools too but plenty of lifeguards keeping order. - The evening entertainment. Not our cup of tea I’m afraid. Fireworks also on way too late at 22.30! - Noise from others. Be prepared for noisy neighbours. Ours keep us up each night flushing the toilet 10 times at 3am 🙈 - Playgrounds. Bit tired and dated I’m afraid. My two said they were the worst ever. So overall not too bad at all. Go, enjoy and request a quiet location for the bungalows if you want a more peaceful holiday. A couple of other tips. Definitely visit Verona. We travelling there by bus which leaves outside the hotel and is approx 45 min journey. Bus tickets can be bought at the campsite and cost 7 euros return each. Also do the boat trip to Sirmione. It’s definitely worth the effort. Boat leaves at 09.40am. We caught the return boat at 2.23pm which was enough time for us. Hire a pedalo with a slide, they are great fun. Join the BI Facebook group. I got loads of tips and advice from others staying there. Really useful. Finally, eat gelato every day! It’s the Italian law! 😂 Hope this review helps. Enjoy your holiday!

I am currently writing this review as I lay in bed on our last night at this resort waiting for the ridiculously loud music to stop playing, because well… nothing will drown the sound out. The reason for my 2 star review starts because this is NOT a resort for families with young children. We were given a bungalow 2 rows down from the evening entertainment which we thought initially would be good as it is close to the pool and amenities, but the music is just so loud, for a family with young children that are not interested in staying up until 11pm partying, this really ruined our holiday. Our children were miserable during the day from the lack of sleep and my husband became ill we also feel on the last day of the holiday due to a week of bed night sleep. The music does stop at 11pm and they have a silent curfew that then kicks in until 7am but once we had finally got to sleep, the sprinklers were coming in at 2.30am each morning, our next door neighbours have inflatables that they leave on their garden, which unfortunately backs onto our bedroom window so 2.30am rolls round each morning and all we can here is the loud noise of water on the inflatables for 10/15 minutes. I knew the bungalows would be basic and they lived up to that but it was clean and had all amentinies such as sheets, towels, basic toiletries and kitchen utensils. The beds are uncomfortable, be prepared to get a back ache. The roadways to the supermarket, pools, restaurants and lake were flooded with cars and people on electric scooters at all times of the day. It was not safe for young children walking around and we were constantly having to move to the side or stop for cars, vans, lorry’s to pass us by. There are no safe paths to take and the traffic coming in and out was shocking. The food on site was good, and restaurants around the south part of the lake were great although if you like fruit, veg, salad, this probably isn’t the place for you. All items on the menu consisted of carbs, protein and cheese! Overall, this is probably a great park for families for older children or teenagers who can enjoy the evening entertainment and are road savvy but if you are coming for a chill holiday, this is certainly not it. Loved the lake, but would not return to Bella Italia. Not sure how this resort has 5 stars when there are some beautiful hotels with just 3 stars. Do not be fooled by the rating on the holiday websites. Can’t wait to go home tomorrow!
