Excellent hotel, from the moment we arrived we were greated by Sylvia who made us feel very welcome. We stayed in room 9 on the second floor, room was spacious and very clean. The view from the balcony was amazing directly overlooking the lake, just beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble for Sylvia and Andrea who run the hotel. Even arranged our transfer back to Milan Airport and wow what a car and journey! Thank you for an amazing stay. I will most definitely be returning next year. Look forward to staying with you again. Many thanks.

Our first visit to Lake Como with my sister, niece and their husbands. My sister had stayed at this hotel a good few years ago and recommended we stay there again. It is on three floors and has different sized rooms. Spotlessly clean throughout. No sure if all are Lake view but all 3 of ours were, also balconies. My room was lovely large corner room with traditional furniture, large comfortable bed and clean towels daily. Not a lot of drawer space though! We were there for 5 days but on holiday for 14 days and had quite a bit of luggage! As rooms are different sizes, make sure you ask for what you want. Hotel Riviera has a wonderful location by the lake and views were fantastic. The ferries leave from 2 different ports, one only a stones throw from hotel, the other, an easy 10 minute walk along the promenade. Lots of eateries too, with easy walking distance. One being adjacent to hotel and sells great lasagne! Bus stops are outside hotel also. Private parking for 5/6 cars. The owner, his son Andrea and daughter, run hotel and they could not have been more helpful. Andrea, drove 4 of us to a local restaurant in his own car! My sister was given a smaller room than the other 2 and once the owner was made aware of this, he rectified it immediately! Owner arranged for us to meet his wife, as she too is Scottish ! They sat and chatted with us and provided drinks and snacks! Very generous and friendly. Breakfast, was in a lovely bright restaurant within hotel, although not run by them at night, when it becomes a pizza restaurant- which by the way were delicious. Best one I had all through my 2 week holiday in Italy! Good buffet style breakfast although tea/coffee were served to you. Coffee was really good! All in all I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, friendliness and location.

Ideally located by the lake with stunning views of Bellagio. Rooms not all the same size, so ask about the room types when you book. We had a 2nd floor duel aspect overlooking the lake, with both side and front balconies. Simple rooms (with limited drawer space), and traditional furniture. En suite had recently been modernised and was very good, plenty of hot water. Staff all very helpful and keen to ensure we enjoyed our trip, even driving our fellow holiday makers to a restaurant for free. Breakfast was continental with good choices for a small hotel. There are parking spaces for about 6 cars on site.

Styled hotel with atmosphere of the lake and it's villas. Good location. Tiny room but we were ok with that. Spacious view ( but we had no balcony). Breakfast was not bad. Close to Villa Charlotte, good restaurants are just a slite walk from the place.

Our room was smelly and extremely small. It was also located on a busy road. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that goes on in other rooms. The restaurant staff are rude and the food is poor. It does have a hair dryer.
