As our previously planned holiday to Portugal was cancelled due to increasing cases of Covid-19, we booked a last-minute swim-up suite in the Atlantica Imperial Resort in Kolymbia - Rhodes. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Cleaning took place every other day and the minibar was regularly re-stocked. The swim-up facility was a godsend - we used it almost every day. Upon arrival my wife Jacqueline and I (Eric) were welcomed with sparkling wine, and the hotel staff transported our luggage once the easy check-in was completed. We were impressed with all the Covid-19 related safety precautions. In all bars and restaurants sanitizing gels and sprays were provided for free, all the hotel staff constantly wore mouth/nose masks, in our room we were provided with mouth masks, gels and disposable gloves. In the vicinity of the pool bar mask wearing was mandatory and strictly but friendly upheld by the staff. Inside the buildings mask wearing was also obligatory, and most guests adhered to this policy. Upon entering the large buffet restaurant sanitizing gel had to be used, masks had to be worn and every visitor was subjected to an electronic body temperature check via the inner wrist to prevent guests with fever from entering the restaurant. After having been accompanied to a table (all properly distanced), you could then enter the buffet area itself but only following a strict route and using disposable gloves which were provided by the hotel. All food could only be obtained using tongs/spoons, or available on individual small plates for the taking. Both the hotel staff and the TUI Blue team were extremely friendly and service oriented, really made us feel welcome. Too many names to mention here, but our absolute favourites were Paris (the Divine Goddess, who served many a drink to our sunloungers in the lawn area) and Christos at the pool bar, and of course Stavros (the restaurant manager with whom we had several very nice conversations) and Kiki in the restaurant, plus Vasilis in the snack bar.. As to the TUI Blue entertainment team, everybody was extremely nice and kept a lot of activities going on a daily basis despite of the low occupancy rate. Special mentions go to Frank (the TUI Blue team Manager), Carmel, Celine and Natalia. Frank and Natalia even came to the reception area to wish us a safe trip home upon our departure. We thoroughly enjoyed the tennis, pool aquafit, boccia/petanque, the quizzes but also the many evening entertainments like the Beatles tribute band, the Jersey Tones and of course the Music Bingo. It was just a pity that Covid restrictions stopped us from coming onto the dance floor otherwise we certainly would have done that. Although the low occupancy rate forced the hotel to keep all but one of the a la carte restaurants closed, we were very impressed by the quality and choice available in the large buffet restaurant. Dinner themes changed daily and were very international, the food was simply gorgeous. Plenty of fish, meats, salads, vegetables, breads, nuts and fruits, it was easy to over-eat, so I developed a habit to just take smaller portions and enjoy the variety. All the food was very well prepared and presented. The pool was fantastic, we did many dips during the day, and was relatively quiet - there were even some moments where we had the whole pool to ourselves. We did rent a car for a couple of days and made trips to the butterfly valley (bit disappointing), Rhodes old town (nice but very busy) Kalithea Springs (wonderful) and Lindos (picturesque but very hot and busy). But.....after these drives returning to the hotel with all its facilities and services made us feel really at home. To sum it up: Excellent and perfect. We will certainly come back.

Had the most amazing service from bartender Alexandros! Excellently made drinks, any cocktail, any drink made to perfection with a smile on his face and great service. If only the UK had bartenders like him. Clean environment, tasty drinks and snacks, 10/10. Made my husband and I feel like royalty on our honeymoon! Provided local historical knowledge and recommendations for sight seeing. Couldn't have asked for better!!!

I stayed here recently with my partner as we was looking for a luxurious getaway and we certainly got that! We was originally booked to stay in the Atlantica Dreams, however this got cancelled as the hotel wasn’t open so we didn’t know what to expect. We got a swim up room with red carpet service and the room was impeccable. It was absolutely stunning. We also noted that it was our anniversary and we was left a lovely bottle of wine with compliments in the fridge and also a discount on spa services. The fridge was also regularly stocked up and our room was cleaned every day and the maid did a lovely job every time, leaving our room spotless. The food was gorgeous. There was so much choice every night so even a very picky eater would be able to find something to eat. We used our token at the Greek a l carte restaurant on our last night and it was amazing and the service was great. Such lovely staff serving us that attended to our every needs. And that goes for all the staff we came across in the hotel, such lovely people who made us feel so comfortable. The hotel is in a perfect location and is right in the beach. There are also day beds by the swimming pool which were so comfortable and relaxing. Perfect after going for a swim! In terms of entertainment, it was very low key which is stated on TUI’s website so if you are looking for a more lively hotel then this one probably isn’t suited for you. Luckily we wasn’t bothered about this and we throughly enjoyed the music bingo! If you stay at this hotel, I definitely recommend getting the red carpet service. It was amazing! We got exclusive use of the swimming pool in the imperial residence building which had stunning scenic views and comfortable loungers! The lady who served us was so lovely and welcoming and aways had our drinks ready for us when we arrived. There is nothing I could fault about this hotel, it was truly spectacular and I would recommend it to everyone. Will definitely be returning to an Atlantica hotel in the future.

Myself and my partner have just come home from a 2 week holiday here and we’ve had the most amazing time. We stayed in the Residences building, which is over the road to the main hotel. Staying here meant we had a swim up room and this building is slightly more modern decor as it’s been built after the main building. I will say though that both buildings were immaculate and very 5 star looking. Our room was 707 and had great views of the sea and mountains. It was cleaned daily with new towels provided and the mini bar was stocked daily too. Staying in the residences building upgrades you to Red Carpet treatment. This really was worth it as the staff cannot do enough. Bringing you drinks and snacks before you even know you need them 🤣. Myself and my partner honestly felt like royalty. I’ve seen a lot of reviews complaining of the food. I would personally like to know what and where these people eat usually? The food was really nice, there was never a night where I didn’t try something new, and never a night where I couldn’t find something I like. Desserts, salads, starters, breads, cheeses, all beautiful. The A la carte restaurant was lovely. We went there twice in our stay. The first time we simply asked the staff what he recommended and we just chose everything he said. It was all delicious! Perfectly presented, and great options. The views here were lovely to enjoy while eating too. I can’t speak too much for the main buildings pool, other than to say it looked beautiful when I did see it. We spent our day time in the residences main pool and Skybar. Here Faliza looked after us and fetched us drinks and fruit. She was so friendly and we really enjoyed getting to know her throughout our holiday. Her level of dedication to make our stay great was second to none! My partner even told her I’d be having a birthday in conversation and sure enough on that day she brought me a slice of cake and a candle from home, singing to me. She was a gem! All of the other staff were superb, Orsi was great and always greeted us and chatted. She would recommend drinks and even create new drinks for us to try because she wanted us to have something ‘special’. I cannot remember too many names but I’ll really try because they all deserve a mention for being so great. Bruno, gregorio, Stavros, emaliano, Kiki. There were far more and I wish I could remember the name of the girl who stands on the door of the main restaurant, she was brilliant and always chatty and so friendly! While we were here, my partner also proposed to me. I can only speak for what he’s told me, but he said that the organisation when he spoke to the hotel was absolutely brilliant. He had emailed back and forth prior to us going and also spoke to staff while we were there. Anyways he arranged a beach hut at night with champagne, chocolates and fruit. It was gorgeous. After this almost every staff member congratulated us and we’re genuinely happy for us which was lovely. Other facilities like the shop in the main building was nicely stocked and had lots of things you might run out of and souvenirs etc. Reasonably priced too. The gym was adequate too, and upon booking you’re given a bag with towels and water. A small touch but definitely a perk. The beach although not private for the hotel, is beautiful and well maintained. There’s a bus stop outside which will take you up and down the island. It’s air conditioned and really inexpensive too. Any staff will give you ideas of where to travel to, and they’re all really knowledgeable. We went to Rodos old town for the day and it was a great day out. The entertainment at the hotel was really good too. Varying from a chilled laid back lounge singer, to huge productions with costume changes and dancing. We even enjoyed 2 DJ and shisha nights in the terrace bar. One of the best nights was the euro final where they had the game on a big screen outside, great atmosphere. There was something for everyone basically. As you can tell we both loved our time here and it was a welcome escape from reality. Covid measures were present but not a worry or imposing on the fun of your holiday. I would like to point out that we witnessed quite a few rude guests treating staff members poorly. I would like to say to any of those, if you’re polite and kind to the staff at this hotel you’ll be treated the same back. These people work endlessly to make you happy so gratitude and a few kind words is priceless. Anyways, if you’re thinking of booking here, just do it. You won’t be disappointed 👍🏼
