A very beatiful place and a wonderful staff will be the best framework for your meal, especially if you want to find something different from the other restaurants in the old city. You definitely won't regret this.
It has been by far the best restaurant we've visited in the island (and we are supposed to have eaten at the best places Rhodes has to offer). One can understand right away that Mrs Efi and her team have deep knowledge of gastronomy as well as passion which creates a totally different experience. They are so professional and they love so much what they are doing. We had both meat and seafood - everything was fantastic.
There can be few better places to stay whilst visiting Rhodes. Spiros,Efi and all the staff at Marco Polo made us feel totally at home. Hidden in the centre of Rhodes old town, you are transported back to a bygone era. The rooms are atmospheric, decorated with pieces that totally fit in with the mansion's history. The bonus is the fact that what must definitely be one of the best restaurants on the island is straight outside your room. This doesn't compromise your privacy in any way for such a busy place. It just proves how popular the setting is for both travelers and locals alike. An absolute recommend for both accommodation and for evening meals. Enjoy the experience!!
Rhodes Old Town is disappointingly full of mediocre tourist dining options - but this one was quite the opposite! It’s tucked away behind a bright blue door a few streets away from the main tourist areas. The courtyard dining is a lovely ambience and the menu is Greek but with a modern twist. I had deep fried feta with honey and sesame followed by tender lamb cutlets with a delicious raisin glaze, served on a bed of potato and dill. Dessert was a light panacotta with Mastix and cherries. You need to book in advance though - our hotel booked it for us 24 hours earlier.
The experience was that good that I created this account especially to write the review. Sublime and DIViNE dining experience! We were served by Savos who also took our reservation. The advice received on the menu was pure theatre, the garden itself is unique a colourful contemporary take on Palladian villas. The food had spices in the right places and in the right quantities. Deceptively simple and delightfully delicious - everything was cooked to perfection. Service was perfect and my daughters came away saying they felt like family. A five star rating doesn’t do it justice. Perfetto - grazie!!!
