My 15 year old daughter and I had an amazing time. The staff greeted us by name and everyone was so friendly. The property was beautiful and the food was delicious! I highly recommend!! The staff was very accommodating and helped us plan excursions not on the regular schedule!
We just returned from 10 blissful days at Belizean Dreams. We had never been to Belize before, and booked this resort based on all the glowing reviews. We were not disappointed! We arrived into Belize City, and easily found our Maya Air transfer. After a short 15 minute flight, we landed in Dangriga and were greeted by Belizean Dreams staff. From Dangriga, it was about a 25 minute ride to the resort. We were greeted warmly, our luggage was moved for us, and we were given a quick tour of the property. I have to agree with other reviews -- the staff here goes above and beyond. By our second day, everyone greeted you by name with a smile. Glendie, Sandie and Lorraine, Pablo and Alex at the restaurant -- Charles, Miriam, Carlos and Monica at the bar -- Alton, Bruno and Alden for excursions -- everyone was just great. We primarily stayed at the resort through the week, relaxing and enjoying the sea and pool. We did two excursions, the snorkeling and the zip lining/cave tubing. They were both fantastic. The zip lining/cave tubing does involve some walking and climbing, so wear comfy shoes. Bring some cash as there are vendors at the site selling souvenirs and drinks (including fresh pineapples and coconuts filled with juice and/or rum). The snorkeling involved a 20 minute boat ride out to the reef, where we saw hundreds of fish, starfish, eels and rays. Guides on both trips were informative and entertaining. If you want to venture off resort on your own, you can rent a golf cart from the resort at a very reasonable rate. We did this twice to explore Hopkins and the surrounding area on our own. The locals are so friendly, and as tourists we never felt unsafe or unwelcome. If you need any supplies for your room, Hopkins has a couple groceries as well as a pharmacy, and there is a large souvenir store just down the road. I traveled with my husband and my best friend, who lost HER husband a year ago. We stayed in Villa 8, B & C. Each building has two rooms on the ground level, B & C, with a kitchenette between. The "A" unit is on the second floor. You can rent any one of the rooms, as they can be stand alone units -- or just two, or three for large groups. We rented B & C and shared the kitchenette, so we had the entire ground level. It worked very well for our situation, as we had privacy but a shared space too, and my friend didn't feel like she was shut off by herself. Buildings 1, 8, and 9 have the best ocean views, IMO, though all are just a short walk from the beach. There are also some boutique rooms in the main building. The rooms are spacious and clean, with bottled water, comfortable beds, and large private baths. Housekeeping was prompt, thorough, and friendly! We had laundry done twice and were very pleased with that as well. Finally, the food at the resort was excellent. There is a set menu for breakfast and lunch, plus you can order things like pizza and wings at the bar. There are three specials to choose from each night at dinner, usually a beef/pork, chicken, and seafood and/or vegetarian. You can also order pizza or other things if you do not want anything on the set menu. Try the ceviche, it's amazing! To close, we loved Belize and we loved this particular resort. We met so many fun people, including many repeat customers, showing we are not alone in our enjoyment of this special place. Don't hesitate to book!…
The stay at Belizean Dreams was unreal in how great it was, it was my wife and I's honeymoon, so I can't say that I will have multiple experiences like this and don't ever plan on having a honeymoon with anyone else. The food was unreal how delicious everything was, I am a bit of a picky eater, but the staff at the resort as well as the restaurants that we were brought to had incredible food and I wouldn't change it for a thing. It was definitely hard to leave such an incredible experience and it will be a very cherished experience. Pro's and Con's (please note the Con's I will mention did not detract from the overall experience and again why I am not rating anything below the 5 and wish I could rate a 10. Pro's -Was in the one-bedroom suite, the exact room in the picture wonderful -Food like mentioned above -Fun tours -Amazing staff -Ability to experience the culture (golf cart drive or bike away) -Amazing warmth to the water Con's -Single ply toilet paper (better for the environment definitely not rubbing your privates with sandpaper) -You love your significant other the open ceiling between the bathroom and bedroom (for our particular room, did not explore all the rooms) means you hear details you may or may not want to always hear. -The hype for the tours may be spoken about at an 11 when experiencing it and hoping for it can take away from it, for example the Cave Tubing and Canopy Zip-Lining Tour (only had one experience with one tour guide) Hike was used in the description of the travel between the different platforms I would say it is a climb of stairs and almost ladder at points. Also, the cave tubing that is done there is talk of a waterfall, there is an area where water rushes in which is louder once you see it, it is probably how the cave echos that makes it sound so loud. The weight requirement stuff probably needs to be updated since the zipline can carry a ton each and you have 2 zip lines. -Some of the paperwork could be updated on what to bring on the tours for example ( I can be prone to motion sickness) but what they warn about experiences that can happen motion-sickness-wise seems a little out of place. If you are used to long rides in a vehicle through multiple terrains you will be fine (the roads could have been recently paved) No real mention of motion sickness for the boat, but the waves of the ocean if you become one with the boat versus leaning forward as you bounce against the boat slapping the waves can make your stomach quite unhappy. Luckily I never experienced any vomiting. -For the all-inclusive package having a three-course meal in the states is not the same as in Belize/ where the latter has portion sizes that make sense to have the 3 courses and would have been nice if the staff was clear about that upfront I may have tried a few more desserts that I didn't because of it. -Not particularly sure about check-out time and flight planning happened to have a situation where we ended up having to sit at the local airport for two hours and saw some folks get on a plane shortly after we arrived to end up meeting them at the national airport to catch the same flight out would have been nice to have been able to get a final lunch before taking the bus out. If you are not sure about going to Belizean Dreams hopefully this helps you decide to experience it and be that much more prepared for an amazing experience that you may want to repeat over and over.…
We picked this destination as our wedding venue, and it did not disappoint!! The friendliest, most caring staff that went above and beyond for us the whole time we were there. They took care of all the wedding plans, and all we did was relax and enjoy! We will definitely be going back! It was absolutely the trip of a lifetime for us and our family and only so because of the hearts of the people at this resort! Thank you for making our wedding day the most beautiful day, we couldn’t have imagined it better!
I cannot express how very much our family loved Belizean Dreams. We were treated to an experience of a lifetime. Our hosts have become part of our family. The villa is gorgeous and the ocean view is beautiful. We will definitely visit again.
Exceptional property! The staff is very welcoming, kind, pleasant, and extremely helpful. The property has all the amenities you can wish for and the view of the sunrise in the morning is exquisite. The rooms are extremely clean. I would recommend Belizean Drams Resort every time. Truly a place you MUST stay when visiting Hopkins.
We loved Belizean Dreams. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Hopkins is a very cool little town. Take a golf cart in and grab ice cream. Paddle board! Drink all the piña coladas. We’ll treasure our time here. Shout out to Charles - the loveliest bartender.
Our trip was one of the most beautiful and intriguing we have been on. The sunrises every morning on the Caribbean we’re breath taking. All the staff was very courteous and helpful, made us feel like Royalty. Food was delicious and our guides on all our excursions were very knowledgeable.
This was our second visit to Belizean Dreams resort and this time was just as amazing as the first time. We were with a group of 45 people ranging in age from 10 to 84. The resort accommodated our needs without skipping a beat. The villas are amazing and the staff is wonderful. I would recommend this resort to anyone of any age looking for a great vacation.
The food was great, the staff was friendly and the room was always clean. Tours were great except when one was canceled which unfortunately doesnt get refunded. Tours guides are very knowledgeable and made the experience even better. Overall excellent stay.
