Detailed Reviews
We recently cycled from Lisbon to the Algarve and the company we cycled with (Cycling Rentals - century cycles) put us up in this lovely hotel in this little town. Our room was on the road side but had a great view of the fort and was very quiet at night. Very comfy bed. Wonderfully friendly reception staff, nice little pool. We walked to the fort which is not far and has great views. Very close to bars and restaurants. Great little find!

Excellent value for money. Clean room. Good bathroom. Nice view of the monastery on the hill. Kind lady at reception goes the extra mile to help out. Great night sleep and easy off road parking plus you can walk into town. Do stay here if you can.

A one night stay in a 3 star hotels for 45 euros could seem a scam for northern Europe countries. Well, not at D Nuno (neither in Portugal in general).
Even though the hotel seems to have aged a bit (old colors and furniture in the common areas), it is very clean and well managed.
The room does not show any lack of maintainance. On the contrary, walls - with a lively yellow colour - are clean. So is the bed, the bathroom.
Common areas include a spa with indoor / outdoor swimming pools (!), a large living room, a game area.
And for the price indicated above, you also indulge yourself with a very pleasant breakfast experience.
Yet, the real plus comes with the very welcoming and conscious personnel who is genuinely pleased in making your stay a great moment.
So, if you stay in the area, avoid Sines and the length of looking for a hotel and go straight to the D Nuno.

This is a fine option to stay for a couple of days and visit the surroundings. Clean, organized and functional you can expect to have a pleasant stay. Breakfast is ok but could be better either in variety or quality of products.

Stayed at the hotel for one night. the location is central. There is parking available at the hotel. The rooms are quite, well appointed and clean, with very comfortable beds. the staff are very friendly, and helpful, treated us well. There is no WiFi in the rooms but is available at the pool and in the lounge. A continental breakfast was provided. Would recommend the hotel.

Located not far from the city center but still on a very quiet spot this hotel covers all my needs. There is a great restaurant around the corner at the gas station and the hotel serve a nice breakfast. The rooms are not the most modern but they provide a good sleep. The wifi is not the best but it works better than they say in the reception. Parking is free in front of the hotel and I have never had a problem getting a parking space there. Service in the reception is really friendly and with a smile.

Me and my wife only spent a day/night in Hotel D. Nuno in a trip to Badoca Safari Park but it was a nice one. One thing above all that we appreciated it's the great cleanliness in all areas, the room was impecable, the bathroom, the common areas, everything verey, very clean! The breakfast was good, tasty food but not too many variety to choose from. We would stay here again in a future trip to this area of Portugal.

We stayed for two nights. Rooms are very small and dated but clean. Breakfast was ok. Good WiFi which was useful for work and we used the lounge which was comfortable. Probably ok for an overnight stay but no reason to return.

This Hotel is about 800 metres from the centre of Santiago do Cacem, and so is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful old town. It is quiet and peaceful, and offers all the amenities one could wish for. Nice clean and comfortable room, with Air conditioning, TV, minibar and ample sized bathroom. The hotel has lots of calm public areas for relaxing in, a lovely swimming pool - and an excellent breakfast. All this is complemented by lovely friendly staff. - We will be back!

I stayed in this hotel 2 nights in August 2008. It is a great place to stay. It is clean, the rooms have good space, the staff is very nice and the location is quite near the city center so you can easily move around on foot.
They have a outdoor swimming pool, but you can not use it in the late afternoon because the sun no longer hit it which is a pity.
The hotel has no restaurant but a short walk of 100 meters you will find 3 or 4 restaurants. I definitely advise the “Retiro do Escova” which has a very familiar environment and where you can eat good food Portuguesa. You must book in advance.
In the area you can visit the ruins of Miróbriga, the Badoca Park, and enjoy many beautiful beaches. Definitely you can enjoy some very nice days of holidays in this area, staying on these hotel.
