Marvelous place. Decorated with taste. We are a family of four and stayed overnight. We enjoyed the delicious "table d'hôte'. Friendly and efficient staff. We'll definitely come back next time we are in the area or for a romantic couple escapade.
A really good hotel. Nice room, beautiful garden and pool. Very good food. The staff are very kind and incredibly helpful. We were a group of seven people who cycled Rote Vicentina. Perfect for us. We vill go back!
On my way to the North on Rota Vicentina, I spent one night in this hotel and was delighted with the quality and friendliness of the service. The hosts were so kind as to prepare dinner for me alone. Breakfast was simply gorgeous. Highly recommended.
We arrived a little early and were warmly greeted. With the room needing a few finishing touches, we went for a very nice lunch in the main reception area. The food was great and wine selection was too. By the time we finished lunch, the room was ready and perfectly set up. I had booked a "romantic package" which was very well presented by the staff. There were little hearts and things everywhere in the room, a nice bottle of champagne chilling and some snacks and sweets as well as strawberries were part of the finishings. The room was very nice and large, overlooking the hotel property. Would highly recommend for a special occasion or just to get away for a night or two.
Perfect staff and service, relaxing location in a quiet rural environment. A short trip to silence and only 20 minutes drive to the coast or 90 minutes to Lisbon. Breakfast and Dinner are a surprise and celebrated with a lots of love. More than we could have wished for! Thanks for the great hospitality.
Great staff and incredible location, but it is a little motel like in character. Great if you don't want to move from the place, because if you want a meal which is not 8 courses you will have to drive a very long way, to Porto Covo for example, and then drive back late at night. Through an empty alentejo countryside, devoid of life. Extraordinary that you can't (well you can, but with difficulty) book an evening snack or light meal when there is nothing else around. A good idea would be to make it an optinal all inclusive offer. Then you can enjoy the extraordinary location, great pool, without having to worry about where you will eat.
You should go to find why this hotel is so good. You can relaxing in the middle of nowhere, eating an amazing breakfast listening the birds and looking to the pool. After the breakfast you do some exercise in the gym or outdoor. And you can stay all day in the pool. In the sunset you should drink a cocktail in the pool watching the sun, Go and enjoy!
We stayed mid week for two nights and were the only guests. The location is very peaceful. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was very good but the dinner was superb! João is an excellent chef and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal. We would like to return.
We stayed here for 4 nights. The staff was very accommodating, helping us with outings and travel arrangements and making us light lunches and dinners. The owners obviously spent a lot on this hotel - the rooms are beautifully decorated, there is a very nice pool with lots of seating options, exercise machines outside, pretty gardens and vistas, a lovely lobby, bikes to use, and an outstanding breakfast. The restaurant isn't always open for dinner but there is a light menu of salads and sandwiches. The hotel isn't near much, which makes it very peaceful, but it's a good launching place to explore the coast. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom very nice and each room has a patio that includes a drying rack. The owners seem to have thought of everything.
An outstanding hotel set in the peaceful Alentejan country side. Surrounded by cork oak forests and close to the Atlantic coast with its many outstanding surfing beaches. This is great destination for those who enjoy the natural world. We watched golden eagles in a valley with stunning wildflowers and swarms of clouded yellow butterflies. We enjoyed a taster menu of 10 local dishes follow by a delicious steak on Valentine's Day. Spotless accommodation in bungalows near a wonderful infinity pool. Staff were very attentive and helpful.A wonderful spot to enjoy real Portugal. Muito obrigado Monte Xisto
