Stayed at the hotel twice in 8 days (stayed for 4 nights) as a base for a motorcycle trip around Italy/croatia/solvinia. We paid for the half board and we are so glad we did. The food is amazing. We would have liked larger portion but that's because we are quite large bikers!!!! The food was a choice of two dishes for a starter, main and dessert. As good as the food was I think I wouldn't pay half board and just pay for my meal, there was such a choice from their menu and one night I fancied something from that rather then the set menu. The beer served here is by far the best in the town, we tried several, maybe all the bars in town and this hotel topped them all. And it was very nice drinking in the garden next to the river. The staff were very helpful seeing as very few English people visit this area and it isn't widely spoken. After several humourous attampts to communicate we were given advise on where to go, what to do and what to watch out for. The room we had was of good size, two single beds albeit quite close together. Beds were comfy, even more so after a few beers. There were blind on the windows and doors so nice and dark at night. Inly let down was the shower, even though the bathroom was massive, the shower was very small. Every time you turned you hit the temperature knob and either were frozen or scalded. We will stay here again.…
Our family group stayed here for one night and had a pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and tidy and have everything you need (including a hair dryer and some toiletries are provided). The breakfast was good, it included sweet, warm croissants, meats and cheese as well as a cereal bar, toast, coffee machine, juice and water. The hotel has a lift and a wheelchair lift also. The hotel also stored our bikes securely in the evening inside a spare dining area. We checked in on a Monday when the reception is not staffed. The process to check in was fine, we called Francesco and he highlighted where the keys were and explained the entrance to the hotel etc. In the end he also came to the property to open the storage area for our bikes, which we were grateful for.
We were happy that we were staying at hotel Tarvisio during the last week. Alpine- style hotel is very closed to the skiing area , also for walking and discoverying of Tarvisio. The room was modernly furnished, in the spacious bathroom you could have a very comfortable shower after skiing.Breakfast was delicious and fresh croissant filled with marmalade was a nice surprise. What really got us was the dinner in the hotel restaurant L'Altro Gusto. The pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant , very helpful staff, of course excellent pizza were a good choice. I really come back to spend time in Travisio in the future. Thank you for your care.
Stayed for a few nights here in September to explore the area. Hotel is set back from the main road just on the edge of the town centre. All is modern, clean and in good repair. Rooms and beds comfortable but the piece de resistance is the restaurant - absolutely excellent. We were on the half board deal but treated to dishes from the main menu on each of our 3 nights. All was v.e.r.y good but especially the desserts which were stellar! Only one small comment - the coffee machine at breakfast dispenses instant coffee, which you really would not expect from a kitchen of this standard. Decent espresso is available from the bar but at extra cost.
On the 10th of april we arrived around 8:30 P.M. and we had a room booked on line on booking.com and of course paid in advance, but all doors were closed and no one answered our phone calls. We had a 5 years old child with us, we were stood outside and it was cold! So after half an hour we went to another hotel... and until today we've got no response from booking.com and of course no reimbursement!!!
Hotel is near skiarel...thats great. Very friendly staff. Rooms are nicely equipped but in our room it was cold and would like it better cleaning - in the corners and on the walls were cobwebs...Breakfast was small but good I would just like to see greater selection of tea, and better coffee than from a vending machine.
Had booked two room for one night on our way south. Due to accidents on the road and roadwork we were very late so I called the hotel to explain that we would be late. As they were leaving for the night they were extremely helpful and send us email and sms with descriptions on where to find the keys and how to log on to the wifi so everything worked out great. Would definitely recommend this place.
We were group of friends staying only 1 night. Our host (owner of the hotel) was great, with a good sense of humour and a relaxed way of life. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast was decent - coffee, warm croissant, cold cuts, etc. Hotel has a very good restaurant - dinner we had was excellent accompanied with good house wine.
