We were attending a motorcycle rally at Tarvisio & preferring a hotel to camping we arranged, through the local tourist office, to stay at the Valle Verde Hotel. From the pictures on Tripadvisor we knew roughly what to expect and so were looking forward to staying for a few days on a B&B basis, while attending the rally and experiencing all that had been organised. Even though it was out of the skiing season we didn't expect it to be as quiet as it was, but that was good as the rally was loud to say the least. We weren't the only bikers using the hotel & the local Police seemed to be there everyday, so drinking had to be kept to minimum. The hotel is a typical Alpine style, beautifully furnished in wood where ever you look. The welcome was warm & friendly, and we were shown the large breakfast room. Our room was large with a balcony at the front giving a splendid view of the mountains. Everything was clean & tidy, with a very comfortable wooden four posted bed. The bathroom was well equipped, including such little touches as sewing kits, gels & plenty of soft towels. We slept well every night, even when some of the other bikers returned very late.
Though the room didn't have any tea & coffee making facilities these were available all day from the bar. You just had to find someone. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of items, including meats, cheeses, pastries, breads, jams, eggs & loads of tea & coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and when we return for another rally here, sometime in the future will definately be staying again.

I've been to Valle Verde Hotel with other 3 friends for 1 night only. We had gone to a concert nearby and needed a place to stay. We took a 4 people room which was gigantic and had an amazing balcony with a view. We really enjoyed the room and the restaurant service. The staff is very helpful and nice. I would recommend this hotel to families.

We had a lovely time in Tarvisio, walking in summer. Room was large and comfortable. The setting, just on the edge of the town, benefits from great views of the mountains. We were there in this summer's heatwave and missed having air conditioning, but could see it is ideal for the winter, with lots of radiators.

I spent one night here. Being the only guest, I was expecting some short comings after the CoVid lock down, but some I just could not ignore. The hotel is in a decent location about a 10 min walk from the center of town. The ski area parking lot is directly in front of the structure, so in slow season, parking is not a problem. I was offered a double room with very little view, but it was a good size, even for 2 people. The floor was quite dusty and perhaps not cleaned in quite a while. The bathroom and shower stall are also large enough. Breakfast was disappointing, being offered an old croissant, but the owner tried to accomodate. I had been to this hotel years ago and it was a better experience. I am sure the lock down made things difficult. I won't count the Valle Verde out just yet. I will give them another try in the fall

Place was ideal for our bike trip, near the Ciclovia Alpe Adria, being a ski accommodation the rooms were heated which is not always a given, but it came handy on a cold rainy day spent on the bikes. Rooms are spaccious, comfortable, well eqipped, bathrooms also big and clean. Breakfast - again probably because of the skiers - varied, delicious, not just the usual Italian pastry and sweets, but ham, eggs, cheese, fruits, etc. Staff was friendly, helpful, hotel easy to find, has a locked and safe bikeroom, no complaints, really.
Little overpriced for what it is, but Tarvisio is expensive, and this hotel was OK at given circumstances

Perfecto. Delicious food. Very good services. Funny and nice waiter. Location near slopes - across the street. Very good for families with children. Ski rent next to hotel. Clean. Good for bikers in summer too.

We had one night to spend on the road before reaching an apartment rental in Slovenia, and thought Tarvisio might work. But June was a bit off season and some hotels were closed. Thankfully, not Albergo Valle Verde. The reception was extremely warm, and our room #8 on the second floor was quite pleasant. The bath had excellent amenities including a sewing kit (which came in handy in Slovenia!), lovely gels, a dental kit, and huge luxurious towels. The room had lovely pine details, including the ceiling and it was easy to relax and, sadly, watch Italy lose to Costa Rica in the World Cup.

The regretful part of our stay was dinner in the truly beautiful pine restaurant. The menu read wonderfully. If only we hadn't sated ourselves with a late lunch of tortellini with cream and carbonara before coming here! We didn't have too much room to indulge even though we'd have loved to do so!! We did manage a delicious dish of guanciale with polenta as well as a "torta" of vegetables cooked schnitzel style and topped with fonduta; and squeezed in a Bavarese with cherries. To accompany this we chose a red wine, which to our surprise was served chilled. These simple dishes deserved an after dinner grappa. It was all heavenly.

In the morning, the breakfast spread was as appetizing as the previous night's meal, with cornettos, apricot cakes, ham sandwiches, yogarts and much, much more.

We couldn't have been more pleased with this hotel. They take pride in running the hotel well, providing outstanding meals, and paying attention to the small details that make guests happy. We wish we could properly appreciate all it has to offer, and if ever in this area again, we would spend several nights here and really indulge ourselves.

This chalet-like hotel, perched on a hill overlooking the craggy Alps, the village of Tarvisio, and a relict Italian Air Force Jet provides comfortable lodging and refreshment. On our first visit in February 2010, our room was in a building apart from the main hotel. The room was small, but very clean and neat. The only downside was a narrow hallway which made negotiating luggage slightly difficult. On subsequent visits, we stayed in the main hotel in the same room on the first (second) floor facing the village. This room is spacious and has a large balcony. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, and speak Italian and German, but not necessarily English. Breakfast and dinner combine the best elements of Italian and Austrian cuisine and after-dinner drinks include both grappa and schnapps.

We have stayed at Valleverde Hotel in both mid-summer and mid-winter and it has not been uncomfortably crowded in either season. My wife and I always try to include Tarvisio and this hotel in our travel plans.

We stayed here for one night in August. We hadn't booked and this was the first place we found that had vacancies (we'd tried about ten other places). It's a bit out of the centre of town but we found it quiet and friendly. We were in the annex - very small rooms but very clean. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening - pleasant atmosphere, good food. In the morning we had breakfast in the hotel - excellent buffet - both quality and quantity.

Buongiorno.
