Hotel was quite clean. Breakfast tasty and plentiful. Room was 'very' small; beds build for hobbits, not humans. Staff was friendly and helpful, except for the desk clerk. For the first meeting, she was condescending, bordering on rude. I mentioned this to someone, clerk became a bit friendly but then it wore off. It's possible she was fed up with the tourists.

Great hotel, with private parking, perfectly located in the center, not far from ski slopes. Extra kind, smiling staff, always smiling. Hotel restaurant has an excellent kusine!! Domestic food, delicious pizza, pasta...You will enjoy your stay for sure :o)

We only stayed 1 night in this hotel, but we'd like to stay more! This was the best hotel during our trip (Hungary, Croatia, some Italy, some Austria)! We didn't choose the room, but the tourist operator and we were lucky to get the two-level room with the balcony. We liked the room, it was all wooden and also nice view!

The only thing - breakfasts could be better. Though it was ok for me, but not enough for hubby. But if we'd stay in this hotel for more, we'd go eat somewhere and this would not be a big problem.

We chose to go to Tarvisio since we always ski in Austria and finally wanted to try something new, but not that far as other italian skiing resorts are. We got a very good offer from the local Tarvisio Tourist Office, that included hotel with half board and skipass. We chose Hotel Raibl and stayed there 6 nights.

Tarvisio is a small town, with plenty of shops and good italian restaurants, ony 8 kilometers from the Austrian border. It offers nice Italian experience, good italian food and drinks. It is easy accessible by car, just off the main highway. Hotel Raibl is centrally located, just next to the main church. It is rather large building with more than 40 rooms. However, it was almost empty when we were there, since it was out of season. It offers good mixture of being centrally located, good for evening strolls in the city, but still close to the skiing slopes.

Our room was on the second floor, it was small double. In general, we saw double rooms are small, but comfortable, very clean. Family rooms seemed to be larger. There was heating in the nights, so we were never cold. Hotel has a social space - one room with TV and sofas, and another one with billiard and foosball/tabble socker. We spend there lots of time playing fosball with other people stayin in the hotel.

Restaurant is downstairs and it offers great selection of pastas, pizzas and frutti di mare. I must admit it was the best part of our stay - food was great and service molto simpatico. House wine is also very good. There were lots of local guests in the restaurant which is a very good sign.

There is a parking for hotel guests, but since it is really small, I do not think that more than 7 cars can fit it. Perhaps they have larger parking that they can offer for the high season.

In order to ski one needs to go by car, perhaps 4 minute drive to the closest slopes in Tarvisio, 10 minute drive to Camporosso (that takes you to picturesque Monte Lussari).

There were two downsides of our stay - breakfasts at the hotel were not as exciting as their restaurant food. There was not much choice of food and drinks, so we got bored after several mornings and started to bring our own cheese and joghurts. Also, since the other guests that were staying were really loud and they had a small annoing dog, we were woke up by their shouts and slamming doors every morning. It may be a bit loud stay if the hotel is full.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel and if I ever return to Tarvisio, will consider staying there or at least have a dinner at their great restaurant.

One of the worst hotel experiences and I've been to a lot of them, so try to avoid this place if you just want to have a normal family time.
We got a room at the top with small beds for teenagers, and all night the noise of uncultured guests reached our room. Registered at the reception and as if they will be warned! the night after the same story and first I went to the reception and complain, then my partner then I came downstairs and said I would call the police and the receptionist told me to call!! so I have to talk about it with local police. When I arrived the last time at the reception angry and I told him to call the police in front of me, they decided to go and calm down the next room (they could have done that earlier to take care of the guests!)
We came for breakfast the morning after at 0730 and there was nothing left to offer .
In afternoon we come back from skiing and in one of their remote hotel parking lots all the spaces were taken. Of course, I protested at the reception, and the employee answered in some of her English, if we want parking, we could have a 5-star hotel! Well done for the employee and such a person should be supported as employee of the month!
All in all, judge for yourself, but for that money you can find a place where decency and some effort from the staff are in place.

I stayed here for 10 days with my family and we were made to feel very welcome. The staff and owners are friendly and the restaurant is excellent - great food at great prices. The pizza is not to be missed and the house wine is great too. The family rooms easily fit a family of five. The bathroom is fine: nothing fancy but sufficient for our needs and with good water pressure.

There is a ski room where you can store your skis and boots. The ski slopes are a ten minute walk away, so you do not need to have a car but it may be helpful if you want to move outside of Tarvisio.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel only one night on the way from Croatia to Czech. For this purpose the hotel was perfect. Beds were comfy, bathroom with toiletries clean and the view from the balcony unforgetable. Breakfast was fine. The staff friendly. The hotel is in the centre. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel for one night in the end of july. Room was OK. But I did not like the fact that our room shared the same balcony with three other rooms. Since it was summer and quite hot and NO AC in the room we had to keep the balcony doors open trough the night....but it was not a good feelig because of the shared balcony...
Breakfast was modest but OK.
The other thing was parking... only public parking is available (0,8 eur/h during the day).
The hotel was quite expensive considering what we have got, so I think that I would not stay at this hotel again.

Pizza at the hotels restaurant was very delicious.

First stayed in this hotel for our maiden Ski-ing adventure over forty years ago not long after the area had had a massive earth quake. Surprised how little things have changed and although the hotel has been updated it is still basically how we remembered it. Very welcoming, comfortably warm with all that is needed for an enjoyable holiday without too many frills but a great location and still great Ski-ing. have always enjoyed Italian cuisine and Tarvisio is typically excellent.
