A good hotel with good services. The landscaping in the garden view is really nice and obviously show they put much effort in designing. Foods also really nice and the way they set up the couches and benches by the sea is really adorable. But I want some adult pools in deluxe rooms .Now swimming pools are small and shallow.

The place was made with great taste, just front of an idyllic clean white and almost empty beach. The Cottage Cabanas were very clean, spacious and beautiful. I also thank the staff that was truly helpful and always smiling.

I stayed 5 nights at the Amata and was very pleased with just about everything; the location, the food, my room with a very comfy bed and especially the staff that was so nice and provided the best service. Also I would like to mention their eco-friendly policy, with for example no plastic straws. I would especially like to thank May Thazin Hmway at the reception and restaurant manager May Thu Nyunt Aye who both made my days exceptionally enjoyable. I really hope to return some day,

Great location, lovely beach, plenty loungers, daily cocktails good variety for breakfast. Very well kept gardens, friendly staff. Large walk in shower which had good pressure and nice hot water. Room was large with plenty of storage. Beds were a bit too soft, rooms and bathrooms need refurb. Bathrooms need another light, chairs on balcony were very difficult if not impossible to get out of. Daily Happy hour, lovely pool although more decorative. Plenty interior and exterior seating for breakfast. As with most hotels in this region, the exterior is lovely but an ongoing maintenance scheme needs to be put in place for the rooms.

I stayed with some friends for 4 nights at Amaya. It is a lovely resort, not exactly a 5 European stars, but very nice. We had transfer from the airport and we were received with a welcome drink. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made their best to accommodate us even if we got to the hotel before the check in time. The staff was also helpful when I asked for a change of room. The rooms from the row next to the street are very noisy so if possible avoid them. The resort has a nice pool and a beach front with beach chairs. The restaurant has a good international meniu but you can find nice local restaurants just a few steps away on the beach. The breakfast was very good and varied.

We stayed there for almost a week and pretty much enjoyed Ngapali Beach. The destination is really nice and no surprise that many tourists end their Myanmar roundtrip there. The Amata Resort most likely used to be a great spot 10 years ago, but in the meantime it is really aged. The villas are pretty dark and also old. We also had problem with the sinks. There are much nicer places beachfront along the beach. Staff was nice so, but this was the case at any other place we stayed as well. For dining we can recommend the Sunset View Restaurant a bit up the road/beach. The prices there are maybe a third or less only. And food amazing.

We spent 3 nights in Amata resort. The resort itself is fab. Friendly staff (except manager of resort). On departure he was standing behind us and didn't even ask how was our stay. We felt very unwelocemed. Speaking of the hotel. We stayed in room no 701. I have to say it is the best room of the whole hotel. It has 2 balconies and one of them facing the sea. The view is amazing. You should ask for room 701. Hotel offers very good breakfast. You will never be hungry after having breakfast at Amata resort!! :). To sum up our stay. We loved it! And we would go back to Amata. The only one thing I should say... during our stay there was something going on as there were so many people staying from Nivea. There was a big group of young people, who took the whole beach for themselves.... all the tables at restaurant. Felt like just 2 of us were staying there and the big group of people from Nivea.

Visiting Nagpali after a spell of nearly eight years, it was a pleasure to be back. The conditions of the roads had a dramatic improvement. Several new hotels had sprung up. On my earlier visits I have stayed at the Aureum Resort. On the recommendation of my travel agent I decided to stay at the Amata Resort. We were picked up from the Thandwe airport and transported to the resort by the hotel. Had a very friendly and real Burmese welcome. The architecture of the hotel was really eye catching. The Bungalows or cottages you may call them were very nicely designed. The rooms are very large and spacious with all the amenities needed for a beach stay. Depending how much you pay for your room you can get a room at very close vicinity to the beach. The golden sandy beaches are great for swimming and long walks. They have two restaurants, one used mainly at breakfast, lunch and dinner. And a second which caters more for the guests sitting around in the swimming pool. The breakfast is excellent and caters to very body. And the service standards are extremely good, though they all seem to have communication problem. Communicating in English seems to be a very big problem even with the front office staff. Most of them pretend they understand and say yes for everything. It’s not a compliment , but I presume it’s not easy to find staff with the possibility of speaking foreign languages in a area which operates seven months in the year. Hats off to the Resident Manager who had a very good command of the English language, and very professional in all aspects, and definitely a asset to the resort. The quality of food offered is of very high standard. The prices are fare and affordable. It’s worthwhile a visit, and I feel a week stay will be ideal. Looking forward to visiting Nagpali next season. Thanks and warm regards, Randolph Perera Zurich Switzerland 18.01.2020

If you’re going for a relaxing holiday as a couple or as family this is the resort I would recommend. I have been to many hotels in Ngapali this resort I find has a cater for everyone. We went there as a family even though we booked separate rooms for our kids we found our room is big enough for the whole family to stay with upstairs as a bedroom for ourselves. Own private yard and pool makes us feel like we own a house with a butler service right on the beach when you pay just the normal Ngapali prices. Yes Ngapali beach is expensive compared to even Bali or Phuket. Hotel grounds are amazingly landscaped like a rain forest. You can feel you’re in another world as soon as you walk into the hotel compound. They maximize the configuration and view of every space they have available, so I must give thumbs up to the architect. If you’re into activities you should definitely try Balloon Over Ngapali by Oriental Balloons because my first time on the balloon experience made me decide I will ride Balloons everywhere I go. It was worth every cent we spent. At the hotel not so exciting activities such as paddle board and Kayak to hire at the hotel. There are a few water activities at near by islands that you can go by hiring a boat. Food in Ngapali is quite exciting compared to any other beaches in Myanmar so it’s a must try. I would give 5⭐️ to the service and staff friendliness 5⭐️ cleanliness and the property facilities 5⭐️ food and spa 4⭐️ beach and water visibility (but a few hundred yard walk up north is a 5⭐️ water and rock free sands so relaxing on the beach 🏖 whole day still is 5⭐️ 4⭐️ value for money (this is the most star I would give for any hotel In Ngapali though) 4⭐️ sustainability ( still using plastic bottles in most rooms and house keeping throwing plastic bags bins which are not full , instead of emptying the bins) I hope my information is useful for those who wants to travel to Ngapali.
