Detailed Reviews
The Zion Motel has been located in the middle of everything important in Springdale for 48 years. It's less than a block to stop #5 for the fee shuttle to Zion National Park and only 1.5 blks from the best coffee in Zion from Deep Creek Coffee Co. Our room was comfortable with two queen size beds and everything we needed between visits to Zion National Park, including a swimming pool, good shower, fridge, microwave, and free wi-fi. Most importantly, the staff was friendly and very helpful attending to our needs, including information about the free city shuttle system to the Park, getting ZNP shuttle passes and answering questions about the area, restaurants, shops and other businesses in the area. We were pleased with the service during our 3-day stay and we thought the prices were very reasonable.

I found this motel online in a review site about Zion National Park and was able to book online through the Zion Park Motel's website about 10 days in advance.
The price was excellent compared to other properties, roughly $35 less per night. The hotel is right next to the Springdale shuttle line that goes to the park entrance 1 mile up the road. Reception let me check-in a little early since my room was ready and I received a Park map and info about activities. I also was given coupons for a free drink and discounted purchase at the Zion Gift Shop across the street from the motel.
The bed was comfy and room was clean. The fridge was cold and microwave worked. The cable TV was a little fuzzy but that was no issue. I will stay again!

We stayed here for 3 nights while we visited Zion. We chose it because of the price and because I love mom and pop motels. It is definitely a retro motel with parking in front of your room. Our room had 2 very comfortable queen beds, a small table and chairs, a microwave, fridge, and toilet/large shower combo. It was very clean, centrally located, and across the street from the free Zion shuttle. You can walk to restaurants from this location. My only negative was that there was no coffee pot in the room nor in the lobby. At check-in, you were given 2 free coupons for coffee at a store across the street which isn't the most convenient when you first roll out of bed in the morning. And the store wasn't open on Sundays. If they could provide coffee at this motel, I would have given it 5 stars for what it is: a clean, comfortable, budget motel.

My husband and I stayed here for one night during our loop travel of Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce. The location in Springdale is great for visiting Zion. Even though the Springdale shuttle buses weren't operating very well (early in the season?), we could easily walk to the park. The best thing about this spot is the welcome you receive when you arrive. This is a family-run business and the woman who greeted me was a family member. I have to say her welcome was the loveliest I have received at a lodging location. She gave me tons of information, was so friendly, and left me feeling happy when I headed out to my room. Our room was just what we needed - comfortable sleeping, small fridge/microwave, place to shower and clean up, and although there was no coffee pot we received a token for free coffee across the street. Great spot to stay during our travels!

When researching hotels for a budget place near Zion National Park I found this gem. I had booked the cheapest room knowing it was an economy room. Once we arrived the owner Chris checked us in and made us feel very welcome, she did say it was a small room so when we got to room 113 we knew what to expect. It was a little too small but very clean . After staying 1 night we decided to see if we could upgrade our room and Chris was most accommodating as she upgraded for a little more money and we were very happy. The motel had ice machine and a very nice pool and also had a cabin like feel in the rooms. The town of Springdale was absolutely gorgeous as restaurants were surrounding us and you could walk to most. It was a charming town with galleries and gorgeous surrounding mountains. We were not even 1 mile from Zion National Park. I believe a hotel or motel can make or break a trip and we were very happy!

The Zion Park Motel is on the free Shuttle route to/from Zion National Park, and actually walking distance as it is just about a mile to the entrance. It is located next to and near places to get food, gifts and do laundry. There is parking for your car right outside your room door, and a cute pool and poolside seating area. The reception area is just the right size for the helpful and friendly staff to help with check in and to answer questions/provide information.
I booked a room with two queen beds which included free (fast) wifi, a TV, microwave, small refridgerator, and a full bathroom. There was also a small table with two chairs, along with a bedside nightstand. The large shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked well which was appreciated because the daytime tempuratures exceeded 100 degrees while I was visiting Zion National Park.
I was impressed with the free breakfast provided daily. The Zion Park Motel provides registered guests with a breakfast meal voucher to use at an excellent restaurant located next door called Porter's. Porter's food and staff were wonderful and a great way to start the day before heading to Zion (on the free Shuttle) to hike and explore. I enjoyed the omlettes and coffee, and left full enough to skip lunch each day. The only cost was my tip for the waitstaff.
Again, I highly recommend the Zion Park Motel!

Zion Park Motel is a gem of a spot with a great location and reasonable pricing for the area. We reserved a family suite for our 3 adults and 3 children and it was perfect – two large separate bedrooms, a large living area with 2 couches, one a pull-out, a nice sized bath with separate counter area, a large kitchen, and even a private deck. Since we packed lunches for each day, the kitchen was a real bonus! Everything was clean and the beds were comfy. The kids appreciated the pool after a day of hiking. The ladies at the desk were always pleasant and helpful plus we took advantage of the bonus free coffee/tea/soft drink per person per day that they offered to their customers in cooperation with a nearby shop. There were several restaurants and shops within walking distance which was convenient after a day in Zion. We highly recommend Zion Park Motel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

+1
We loved our stay in the family suite at the Zion Park Motel. As others have mentioned, it does have a nostalgic, older vibe, but it perfectly met our needs. The family suite was huge, with a full kitchen, and living room area with a pull-out couch, and two bedrooms. The beds were comfortable and the unit was clean. We loved the balcony our back and the chairs out front to admire the scenery. The room was cleaned daily, and it was so nice after each long, hot day of hiking to come back to a clean, cool room and retreat to the bedrooms for a nap or some screen time for my teens. The employees were extremely friendly and my kids enjoyed the heated pool and drinks across the street. The location is also fantastic - the gift shop next door at the Bumbleberry Inn was the best in the area, and the motel was within 0.1 miles of several good restaurants and the grocery store. It is within walking distance of the entrance, so each day we walked into the park and shuttled home. Fantastic, affordable choice for lodging in Springdale!

The Zion Park Motel is an excellent choice for a budget friendly stay close to the entrance of the park. I will definitely be staying here again! It is located in a prime location with beautiful views and close to many restaurants. Bring your bicycles! We rode bikes from the motel to the visitors center and the pedestrian entrance which is an easy beautiful one mile bike ride. From the visitors center you can jump onto the Pa’rus Trail which is a great 3 mile out and back trail with beautiful views. Take the trail early morning or late in the day to avoid the crowds.

We were pleased with the price and location of this motel. I wish the weather had been a bit better so that we could enjoy the pool. Room was comfortable, only real concern was when we checked in trash was full which made me concerned about how well the room was cleaned overall.

The rooms on the front right side of the parking are newer and quite spacious--no noise issues, beds are very comfortable, plenty of counter top space. (P.S. We stayed there during a peak tourist time, so there was plenty of traffic.)
