Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 4 nights. I have been to Zion 4 to 5 times over the years I had stayed at the driftwood about 10 years ago. It didn’t disappoint! I primarily stayed At the DP in the past but I firmly believe that it’s cost has now exceeded its value. I honestly believe driftwood is one of the best bang for the bucks in Springdale
We stayed at the driftwood in a premium room. We faced the canyon. The rooms were excellent But the best part was the staff!!
Kelly and Heather stood out providing excellent desk service. Kelly gave great suggestions as she is a local. Heather also did a great job with our requests. They were so helpful in all our questions and willingly met all needs
The value vs cost for the room was a sweet spot in our opinion
The only con is the covid rules. They don’t clean the rooms but provide all towels coffee etc that you need on request. I think they should offer cleaning service on request. Most hotels have moved in this direction (at least outside Springdale). So if you don’t mine making your bed , fetching your coffee and towels for $300/ night your good
Other than that we loved it. On the shuttle path to Zion., within walking distance I’d bit and spur Outback and Dulivia. If the COVID rules are similar in Springdale, we would choose driftwood over all others
On a side note the kings landing restaurant is on site. It’s a little pricey but the food was very good. We went the first night as it was close. Food was excellent but Better values are elsewhere

+1
Front desk staff were very friendly and covid regulations were followed which I really appreciated. They had a cup for clean pens and dirty ones. Something you don't see often. I stopped by the desk a few times during my stay and the customer service was great.
They have an amazing deal for breakfast. $8 a voucher to order anything off the menu from the Oscar's, a restaurant 2 mins (driving) down the street. Really great food! We tried it out the first morning and enjoyed it so much that we got it the 2nd morning.
We did find a few small hairs in the restroom which we didn't like but other than that, the room was perfect. We were in room 604 and had amazing views of the canyon from our ground floor patio and could hear the river which was right next to us. Our child loved playing outside.
The beds were comfortable and an extremely quiet heater. We could barely tell that it was on. The fridge and microwave were so appreciated. Plus a Keurig coffee machine with pods in the room is a bonus.
You do have to be conscious about their front desk hours as they close around 8PM.
I won't hesitate to book this lodge the next time I'm in Zion. Thanks for a great stay!

We paid slightly extra to stay in the updated rooms along the river overlooking the mountains into the canyon/park. Rooms were really clean, and the patio views were absolutely unreal. Cool hotel, would stay again 100%

We stayed here in October of 2021. It was our last stop in our Mighty Five trip. The front office staff were very helpful. When we opened the door to our second story room the musty smell of gym socks immediately hit our noses. We opened the windows, turned on the air conditioner, and sat outside. The other couple in our trip had a similar situation with their room next door. This hotel is located about 1.5 miles north of the Zion park entrance. The restaurant located next door, Kings Landing, is very good. But this hotel does not offer a breakfast option other than a $8 voucher you can purchase to use uptown.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Zion National Park. It is just on the outskirts of Springdale but this is actually an advantage. You have to ride a shuttle to access the park and parking at the park entrance is very limited. Springdale also has a shuttle bus which drops you at the park entrance. One of the first stops for the Springdale shuttle is right next to the hotel. The Springdale shuttle often gets full at the later stops but we never had a problem getting on shuttle outside this hotel . It also means it is very quiet at night.
The views of the valley from the hotel are amazing. There are chairs on the property right by the Virgin river to relax plus a nice pool and hot tub.
We had a king room with view. It had a large balcony with chairs There was also a seating area inside with a couple of comfy chairs. Bed was comfortable . The bathroom was large and had a separate tub and shower. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not provided but they have a great deal with Oscar Cafe. You buy an $8 voucher and get a entree plus coffee. Oscars is about a quarter mile down the road from the hotel. Another plus is the great restaurant Kings Landing which is adjacent to the hotel. Zion park can get crowded but this hotel provides a great oasis of peace and tranquility

We stayed here for 4 nights in a very spacious 2nd floor room with a nice balcony and river view. Room was very clean. The pros were the quiet location, excellent (but pricey) onsite restaurant, cleanliness and accommodating staff. The Zion shuttle stop #7 is right at the front. There was a nice pool and an $8 breakfast voucher for Oscar’s that was very good. There was a pool and whirlpool onsite that we didn’t use but appeared nice. Because (I guess, 3 weeks prior) of the time we booked, we could only get the 2 queen room at >300/night for 2 which was very expensive. With so many people traveling domestically during the pandemic, I guess that’s what the market will bear. Nevertheless in the future I’d stay again (at a more reasonable rate)

Good location for trip to Zion NP. Shuttle stop right at the parking lot. Room was large & quite roomy with a lovely view of the mountains looking toward the park. Each building only had 4 rooms so it was very quiet for our stay. Lodge offers a breakfast voucher for a local restaurant- Oscars- which was very good and quite convenient. Room was clean and well stocked. Staff very friendly and helpful. Here’s a tip: if you stay in Springdale you park at your hotel free and ride shuttle to Zion park. If staying elsewhere you will pay to park (if you can find a spot) Seems most places restrict parking to customers via dashboard permits and enforce towing.

The hotel setting was beautiful and the staff was friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The private balconies were an added plus! (The only thing I would suggest is that a full length mirror be added to the room.). The location is great because the town bus transport to the Zion Visitor’s Center picks up at the Driftwood at the beginning of the route. Hotel stops beyond this stop often had to wait for another bus.

Great little room and very clean. The room we were originally given did not have a view, which I really wanted, so the staff looked at what they had available and gave us a smaller room with the most beautiful view. Nice glass of wine in the evening and coffee in the morning on the patio. Spectacular!

The bed was very uncomfortable. The noise from the active family with kids above us was the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel/motel. It was mostly their fault but by the end I became convinced that the subfloor materials were not very soundproofed. The room had a ton of space and the property was spread out with tons of parking space. There was no breakfast due to COVID which is now just a weak excuse by a hotel property. There is no reason related to COVID that necessitates removing breakfast from listed amenities. Knowing this, we went to the local market and dropped over $100 for 3 bags of groceries. Not impressed with Springdale. There is so much potential for this property and the town as well.

Hello usually in May the first shuttle in town starts at 7am and the one at the visitor center starts at 6am. It is not difficult to get to the visitors center but the parking at the visitor's center does fill up fast since this is the only free parking. The shuttles in town come around about every 20 minutes. The ones in the park come around faster.
You’ll have to check with the hotel
the restaurant was closed when we visited late noon that time when i visited. but i am sure it has all the facilities for lunch and dinner. however there are nice restaurants near by and worth trying. dont miss the driftwood breakfast voucher which you need to go near by restaurant and its awesome.
