The hotel was in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but close enough to walk to (pleasant 1/2 mile walk along a pretty park along the Ocean). We could get to the East Shore without going through the Honolulu traffic as well. The staff was perhaps the best part; warm, friendly, and helpful; I can't say enough about them; they really made us feel at home. Our room was in excellent shape and was quite large. All the features seemed well thought out. Lots of towels, good places to put things in the bathroom, free washers/dryers (2 each) available for use on the 3rd floor. After extensive research about hotels in Honolulu, I decided on the Lotus for our first vacation trip since the beginning of the pandemic. The Lotus experience surpassed all my expectations. What a fabulous location, steps away from two beaches, a world-class French restaurant, Ily coffee and Italian espresso maker in the room, fancy and convenient beach chairs and luxurious towels for the beach days. We walked everyday to the Barefoot Beach cafe nearby, the most scrumptious local restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with live music, ever! Walking 15 minutes more through the gorgeous park with lush trees and families having picnics, you get to the craziness, tourist-drenched Waikiki. So, we booked this online after reading the reviews but like all unknowns were still a tad skeptical. On arrival, at 9.30am as the cruise let us off early, Rihan surprised us with 'your rooms are ready' . BIG tick, we were able to unpack and settle in and then start our day's explorations. The lift is not the best advertisement but the room was large and clean & very well appointed, even down to the free water bottles. We were on the 3rd floor so the views were somewhat restricted, go higher if you can. Mari serviced our rooms and did an excellent job daily, fitting into our erratic routines, The front desk was generally 'manned' by Christiann who injected unbridled enthusiasm and laughter into every day. Also a font of knowledge and very helpful when our airport shuttle failed to materialise. She knew their number off the top of her head!! How much better customer service can you get? The beach was as close as they say although you do need to navigate carparks and buildings. The towels and beach chairs just made it all the better. All in all we had a wonderful stay, looked after by amazing staff and were far enough out of Waikiki to avoid the crush but not too far out to be isolated. We will be back!…

We had a great stay at the Lotus for 3 nights. Christieann and the rest of the front desk staff was very helpful to make our stay very comfortable. They gave us helpful tips for our sightseeing and recommended some really cool places. Always lovely to be greeted with a smile! Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Honolulu!

The best hotel stay I’ve ever had. They treated my husband and I like kings for our wedding trip. From the moment I walked in the door and Rhian checked me in until the moment I checked out they made sure we had every thing we needed. I took this trip to Oahu with my mom, who was born in Pearl Harbor. She had spent a lot of time as a girl on the Le'ahi side of the island, so we chose the Lotus Honolulu. From check in to check out, the staff was friendly and helpful (Christieann, Jame, Sarah, Ryan and Mila). Our room was on the top floor and had a beautiful view of Diamond Head and the ocean from the lanai. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The decor was nice and the room was spacious and clean. Location could not have better. There was beach access thru the parking lot of the hotel, and we were adjacent to the Outrigger Canoe Club as well. The property sat across the street from Queen Kapiolani Park (Big Grassy Park) and was about a 15 minute walk to the edge of Waikiki -- Yet, this area was peaceful and uncrowded. ** I suggest an Early brisk walk from the hotel to Waikiki and beyond, before the crowds get there -- to pay homage to the statue of Duke Kahanamoku. Lotus is the perfect boutique hotel with amazing views! Everyone there made us feel like ohana! We were always greeted with a smile and aloha! The beds were so comfy and the room always clean. We would highly recommend this hotel for the quiet atmosphere and beautiful views!

Lotus is five star pleasant. There are fancier hotels. There are more expensive ones too. But the Lotus offers five star comfort and five star quiet! We met several staff members all were professional. Special kudos to Rhian. She is as cute as the day is long and just as professional. She helped us with dining and beach suggestions. Kept us informed on any specific issues or attractions of interest to us during our stay and otherwise provided a sense of comfort and commaraderie you don’t get at so many mega resorts. There was absolutely nothing negative that I could think of during my one night at the Lotus Honolulu on 2/2/2023, everything from dropping off my luggage early for the staff to hold, to checking in later, to checking out the next morning went very smoothly. I stayed here during the time I’d visited family in Honolulu for a few days in late Jan. to early Feb., before starting a new job and I really wish that I had the finances back then to have spent more than one out of four nights. The experience here compared to my 3 previous nights before this spent at the Queen Kapi’olani, was like night and day. The location in the quieter part of Waikiki, size of the room, views, what was provided in the room (it had a microwave, fridge that actually kept things cold, good sized closet with robes and slippers!) were so nice. Each staff that I’d encountered was very helpful, friendly and professional. During the time that I booked the room, about a month in advance, I originally had paid for a lower floor/partial ocean view room, but I noticed about 2-3 weeks before spending a night here that the price of the rooms on the top 3 floors with a better view were offered for cheaper, so I called the hotel directly to ask if I could change room types and they had no problem with my request - I was told that my timing was lucky, as the difference in price only ended up being about $7 more! I was given room 1125, a corner room on the 2nd to the top floor, which was sweet! Once I stepped into the room, I felt such chill, positive vibes, it was so beautiful and spacious! Could not hear any of my neighbors and everything was so peaceful and quiet, compared to my experience at the Queen Kapi’olani, which was so darn noisy. Also, from my observation, I could clearly see that the Lotus Honolulu attracted a different type of clientele than the Queen Kapi’olani, which makes sense, as the former is more of a boutique and pricier hotel than the latter, which is budget friendly. I’ve learned throughout the years that you get what you pay for. The views from the room of Diamond Head and Kapi’olani Park were gorgeous! You can see parts of the ocean, but the high rise condos built closer to the beach such as Sans Souci are in the way — still, these were overall very nice views, though! You can certainly catch fantastic sunrises from your balcony at this hotel. I did not try the hotel restaurant and can’t comment on that, but for breakfast, I met up with my Dad and we went to the Hau Tree restaurant that’s located next door at the Kaimana Beach Hotel, which is truly beach front dining! Upon checkout, Angelica helped me out and provided excellent customer service. The Lotus Honolulu ranks in my top hotels that I’d ever stayed at in Honolulu and without hesitation, I most highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Honolulu!…
