First off this has been my fourth time staying at this resort and let me just say that they continue to impress. I guess with COVID it allowed them to do some more upgrading of services which was quite nice. Although the resort was quite busy the large open spaces made it seem not confined. Always a highlight for me is their food offerings and their amazing infinity pool along with a great bar and pool deck staff. They also have a new light show that basically puts a mural of local artwork onto the facade of one of the hotels buildings which I thought was super cool. Overall you’ll find that the amenities are some of the best and the hotels room along with their friendly staff are a definite example of true aloha during your stay. Be sure to also check out their calendar of events for your stay as they have quite a bit of offerings monthly. If you’re Kamaaina (local) you will get a really great array of discounts that have definitely improved over my prior years stay. Mahalo Alohilani and look forward to another staycation with you soon.

My wife and I were able to spend a 2-night weekend get-away at Alohilani. We were lucky enough to have an ocean front room. The room was clean, comfortable, bed and pillows terrifc and of course the views of Waikiki Beach and the blue pacific. The hotel is large enough to be private and quiet, but small enough to move around in minutes. Shops (incuding ABC Store) connected to the hotel as well as Morimoto's (Arguably the best Pan-Asian restaurant on Oahu). O Bar with the massive fish tank has great small coffee lounge breakfast and Swell is their hip/hop pool/deck/cabana/eatery during the day and night. Great drinks, great food, great staff and great vibe! Total fun for all ages. Every member of the staff hustles. From drive-up to checkout. Zero complaints and the best luxury to dollar spend ration in Waikiki. You'll be amazed and won't want to leave..as we didn't. Make sure you check this resort out first.

We just stayed at this resort from July 13-23. We were two families and had three rooms total (my kids had an adjoining room to our room). Things we liked about the hotel Close to shopping/ restaurants Across the street from Waikiki beach Hotel was in overall good shape, not great shape. (saw wear and tear) Beds were comfortable Things we didn't like about the hotel Had to text the number listed on the paper given at paperwork to get any response from the hotel. Figured this out on my own after calling downstairs a few times for help. Never had this happen in any hotel we stayed in. Usually someone is always answering the phones. They were quick to answer but not on property.--so very quick to respond to text messages Impossible to get anyone to answer the phone at front desk or concierge desk I think the hotel was very noisy and lost sleep. I could hear the trash trucks picking trash on the street downstairs, beeping from a truck backing up and every time someone left their room, the door would slam shut Parking was $40 per day and the spots were very tight and sometimes hard to find Carpet/flooring needs cleaning Sometimes noticed stuff on the floor that should have been picked up. I think they are short staffed. Could not get safe to work as something turned it off, had to get help her. Would be nice to have instructions if the safe turns off Restaurant near pool - over priced and staff did not take care of any water refills but since we were over 6 they made sure to put their tip automatically on the bill. I thought the waitress was rude. my friend said she made a face when I asked for more water. No clock in the room, never knew the time Curtains did not block out sun so had light once the sun came up Saw some hairs in the rooms when we checked in Floor in bathrooms needs a good cleaning Overall i think the hotel is a 3.5-4 star hotel. I think it is way over priced but maybe all hotels are that way in Hawaii. I gave it a 4 star because of location.

What a fantastic hotel! Our room had a wonderful view of Diamond head and the beds were great! Pool overlooks the beach, the bars serves great Mai tai's, and the deck turns into a chill zone with amazing local DJs at night. The Longboard club was worth $ with amazing food, endless local beer and wine, and a cappuccino maker. Steps from Waikiki Beach where we surfed everyday with the kids. Amazing stay!

My party of two couples stayed here for five nights, which included the Fourth of July weekend. I start by saying that we experienced none of the negative issues discussed in some of the other reviews. The person who helped us with check in was very friendly and efficient. Our room had a great view of Diamond Head. I recommend paying for the Longboard Club. The staff there was attentive, and the breakfast and happy hour are worth the extra money. Our favorite part of the hotel was the Swell Pool deck. We had reserved seating around one of the fire pits on Thursday night and a cabana on both Friday and Saturday. The deck is beautiful and the infinity pool is large by Waikiki standards. I would like to give special recognition to our server, Jenny, who was super fun and always made sure we had everything we needed from the bar and kitchen. For those of you who care, there were several families with children enjoying the pool. I found the kids to be polite and well-behaved, so this was not an issue for me. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.
