This is one Oahu hotel you can count on for convenience and value. This is the Pacific Marina Inn, five minutes from Honolulu International Airport, 15 minutes from downtown Honolulu, and 20 minutes from Waikiki, making it perfect for the business traveler or commuter. With complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle service, this hotel is a great option for those looking to spend an evening in Oahu between flights or for an affordable option that offers a location off of the beaten path.
The hotel room accommodations include air conditioning, private bath, flat screen TV, and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. Guests may enjoy the hotel's swimming pool, a drink at the Canoe Hut Lounge, or complimentary musical entertainment and dancing.
Based in an industrial estate close to airport. Tired rooms inside and out. Not close to any amenities. Wifi - terrible to non existant. Lovely staff and bar good but quiet. Passable for 1 night but no longer
DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL. Reserved a room on Expedia. Received confirmations from BOTH Expedia and the hotel. The hotel submitted incorrect information to my credit card company TWICE. The hotel cancelled the reservation. The hotel did NOT notify me that they had cancelled the reservation. Expedia did NOT notify me that they had cancelled the reservation. I will never use Expedia again.
This is a budget accommodation, therefore you expect a lower standard of facilities and quality but what you do not expect is to be unable to sleep due to the noise of construction work throughout the night! The accommodation is basic and the rooms much in need of renovation with rusty air vents, faucets etc. the beds are hard and the sheet is covered with a thin blanket. The windows are jalousies, which are obviously unable to block any noise from outside, also there is a large gap around the ill fitting door to your room that opens to the outside walkway. All this you except as it a budget accommodation. Next door there is major construction, the state of hawaii is building a train station, this has been going on for months and will continue for many more months to come. The construction work is done throughout the night. It is extremely noisy! The hotel can’t stop the construction that’s obvious but what they could do is warn you of it before you book to stay but they refuse to. Most people that stay in an airport hotel have a flight to catch ( airport hotels are notoriously situated in industrial areas) you don’t stay in them because of the beautiful surroundings! So sleeping before your flight is important. Therefore a warning on their website/listing saying CONSTRUCTION IN PROGRESS. MAY BE SOME NIGHTTIME NOISE should be something the establishment would do, but this one won’t! Not a honest approach to customer service.…
This is a good enough place to sleep off jet-lag, if you are a heavy sleeper. The train station is being built about 100 yards away. There is a bar under this hotel. People were leaving (and their remotes chirped) until the wee hours, This place is fairly shabby and under-decorated. Everything was clean. The people were nice.
Sadly, so noisy at night (hotel music going throughout the whole night - websites/social media should advise people this is the case) old aircon (see photo) so noisy had to turn it off, fridge adding to the noise - powering up regularly) - all slept very badly. Emailed the 24/7 reception twice during the hour (at 1.43am and 2.20am) politely asking someone to help; hotel couldn’t/wouldn’t anything about it. Men were talking loudly throughout the whole night and laughing - sounded like they were outdoors by the pool. Such a shame. Shuttle bus staff were very friendly, great location but apparently music can’t be turned down (so people not wishing to hear a disco at night might choose another venue!) and Christopher Gagnon, General Manager, still hasn’t contacted us as requested. If it was clear how noisy it would be, we’d have chosen another venue. The family room was small/basic/looked run down (and tea/coffee facilities in main lobby, not the rooms) but this wasn’t the issue; simply put, our family of 4 just needed to sleep from 11pm-7am ready for our flights home but we all really struggled. A refund is in order. Still waiting for this from Mr Gagnon. …
We really liked this hotel. It is managed very well with plenty of staff. Our room was small but clean, comfortable bed microwave, fridge. Chinese restaurant on site pretty good, one order easily feeds 2 peaple. On site lounge good. Closest convenience store for beer 1 mile away. Pool is clean but cold. We will return. Free airport shuttle is great.
Three stars does not mean dissatisfied, just that’s what to expect - average! You get what you pay for so can’t stand people booking to two-star hotel and then destroying it in reviews. Good: Free shuttle from and to airport, you just call after picking up bags and they talk you through where to stand to wait for the shuttle. Then for ride back just organize up front Very very friendly staff - so kind and cheerful Pool is very clean and surrounding patio area pretty and well maintained Price Proximity to airport ~5 minutes on a no traffic side road so easy to catch your flight and great that it’s quick to drive to after a long day of travel AC works great No smell Clean Great for a 1-2 day layover if a flight is cancelled or delayed like ours Decent restaurant on site. I’d never seek it out but it’s easy to get to obviously if you don’t have a car Fridge and microwave in room Bad: Rooms are just run down and small, simply put, but again it’s what you pay for. Ours was old but not dirty Zero sound proof at least in ours. You could hear everything outside as if the door was wide open. Bed not comfortable Area not conducive to walking anywhere really other than a mediocre beach that doesn’t seem particularly safe It’s a generally average place to stay for a short stop and frankly that’s what they are advertising/going for so as long as you manage expectations you’ll be fine and don’t crucify this small business in a review when you know what you are getting.…
They get a gold star for their airport shuttle. This is a very basic motel in the middle of a major construction site with almost no amenities on site, and none within walking distance. It would work for someone needing a rack for the night while changing planes, but not much else. Parking is minimal and awkward, and you are at least a $40 cab ride from anywhere. We used taxis 4 times and every driver demanded cash at the end of the trip.
I chose this hotel for my vacation in Oahu. The price and free parking were the reasons why I chose this hotel. It is quite a distance from downtown Honolulu where all the action is. Even though, it's near the airport, the overall location is odd as several factories are nearby. The parking lot is a bit tight. The shower water temperature was unstable. It did not stay hot very long. Phone service was nearly non-existent, however, the wifi worked well. You can occasionally hear airplanes. Certain channels on the TV went in and out. I liked that the hotel texted me throughout my stay to see how I was. The hotel is next to a Chinese restaurant. No breakfast is available, but a few restaurants are located within a mile or less. The hotel also has a small convenience store available with food and drinks available for purchase. There is also a pool which I did not use. The area has construction around it. The GPS recommends entering from the road with construction on it, but it's much easier to utilize the road that goes to the park. …
I’m only here for the night, 10 mins from the airport and they have an awesome shuttle driver, Lani. Off the plane and in a shuttle within minutes. It’s old school Hawaii motel, the pool looks great (closed when I got here) and the staff are amazing. Perfect for that sleep you need before the next flight.
