Room is small and average but it is not a big deal to me since I wasn't stay in the room most of the days. However, the parking is terrible, The hotel charge $47 per day for valet parking. I think it is expensive and I expect a good services, However, the 1st time I ask to pickup my car, it took about 30 mins. I know it is Sat and they are busy, so I didn't complain. And when I come back to the hotel about 9 PM, they told me the valet is 1st come 1st serve and they have no space for me and ask me to park somewhere else and they will refund the money. Com'on, it is waikiki and it is 9PM, how can I found a public parking to park overnight. I drive around and couldn't find any parking so I go back to the hotel and fortunately the other guys is nice enough to help valet my car. So if you have rental car, don't use this hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
We came to Hawaii the first time in our lives as most people do... on our honeymoon! We’ve been back several times and we always stay here even after looking into other hotels. It’s affordable! It’s right across from the beach! It’s at the end of the strip so beach is not as packed as other beaches! It’s walkable to just about everything you’ll want to do! Staff is friendly and helpful! Elevators are confusing at first. ALWAYS be sure to do the free daily activity! It’s fun for everyone! Also the Tiki bar in the hotel is awesome also! We eat there often!

We just returned from a week 8 day/7 night stay at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. Overall I think it is worth the price. Positives: Great location with amazing views. Loved sitting on the balcony every morning taking in the beautiful ocean view! The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. They got our room upgraded to a ocean view room and we loved it. Anytime I stopped by with questions, they were quick and available to help. Hotel was clean. The Wolfgang Puck restaurant on the 1st floor was also great. We ordered a number of different things there and all were delicious. Service was always fast. Valet employees were always friendly and helpful. Negatives: On their FAQ's page, they tout discounts available as part of their resort fee. (See their website under the FAQ page...Tripadvisor won't let me add the link) One of the things mentioned was $25 off tours and discounts off of the restaurants. I was never given any of these. I booked a xtreme parasailing for 3 through the activities desk. Come to find out, if I had booked directly with Xtreme Parasailing, I would have saved about $50. The hotel evidently adds profit on the package prices. I asked if the price I was paying included the $25 off and was told yes. But later I looked at Xtreme Parasailing's website and that's when I found out how much cheaper it would have been. We ate a number of times at Wolfgang Puck and twice at Tikis. We were never given any of the discounts listed and yes, we told them we were hotel guests. Tiki's is another negative. I would not go there. If you do, make an advance reservation and expect slow service. Once we were at a table and we hardly saw the waiter. I still tipped 20% because I just assumed they were still short staffed due to Covid. The 2nd time, we were told an appx 30 minute wait for a table (table for 2). After 45 minutes, the hostess called us and said she had 2 seats at the bar. I told her no, we asked for a table. She said we would have to wait another 15-20 minutes then. I was very annoyed so we went ahead and took the bar seats. They were behind some of the bar equipment and the bartenders were super slammed so we got a bit forgotten there. They were nice and helpful when we got to speak to them though. While the hotel is very clean, it needs updating. Alot of things you can tell are just painted over. The bathroom still had those yellow square tiles like were used in the 70's and the small square tiles on the bathroom floor had almost black grout in spots. You could smell mildew but I didn't see any. I guessed it was the ac vent in the bathroom. Last negative... the parking. No free parking anywhere near by. If you rent a car, expect to pay high parking rates while in Honolulu. $46 a day appx for valet and some of the self parking garages were about $25 a day. If they are not going to offer self parking, they need the driveway area to be better striped to indicate valet parking only, drop off, and pickup lines. Some people would pull up and just park in the middle and block others from coming in or leaving and a line would be out to the street. With a little better visuals on where to go and what to do, it would help streamline things. Final Summary - for the price, it is worth staying there. It is a great location with wonderful view. Just be aware of some of the negatives I listed. Check out the FAQ's page to see what the resort fee is SUPPOSED to include and make sure they include what they advertise.

If this is a four star hotel, you’ve never been to a five star hotel. Terrific location but the hotel needs an upgrade. Old bathrooms with worn out fixtures, windows don’t quite close all the way, the pools not worth going to, no room service and they barely cleaned our room. It’s a good value and great base of operation but don’t plan on spending much time at the hotel.
