This service review is specifically for Hilton Honors. Definitely no honor when I spend $6K on a vacation and they do not give me rewards because I booked through booking.com. Hilton Honors never explained this and I would have canceled and booked through them if I was told this! I only found this out as I was going to book my next Hilton Vacation. Hotel's Favourite
Beautiful hotel next to the Lagoon within walking distance to everything in the Hilton Hawaiian Village yet just off from the center of everything to remain quiet and remote. We had an ocean view room on the 16th floor overlooking the garden where the Luau show was performed Mon - Fri. Bonus - We got to attend from our balcony without paying for the Luau.

This hotel has the absolute worst customer service. They will not help you whether you own time share or are a Diamond member. Not even loyalty prompts good service. The walls are super thin so please hope your neighbor doesn’t snore or you’ll be up all night. I expect much more from Hilton.

Everything is excellent on this resort except the frontdesk (Yukari or Yuko), who is very nosy. Though she knows well about the resort, She should be very polite and respectful to guest. We did not get the accommodation for free! We paid for it!

It is a great location and views. The village is nice with lots of shops and restaurants nearby that are only 2-3 minutes walk from your room. You can also get to the Waikiki main shopping street within a 10 minute walk. The tools and beach are great. Be careful if you plan on parking as the parking garage is VERY expensive! I recommend the Lagoon tower rooms that have kitchens with main appliances.

It was our forth trip to the big island, so we knew exactly what to do. We went to the northwest corner of the island to see King Kamaha and the dead end drive to see one of the many beautiful valleys on the island. We also went to Hilo and visited volcanos national park, which was great. Ended up spending two nights at the Hilton Waikaloa Village where the children both swam with the dolphins and we got terribly sunburned. Overall it was a great trip and experience.

We have friends who own at Hilton Grand Vacations and we have heard good things, so we decided to try it, booking via Hilton.com. We were overall very disappointed. The room was a good size, but I think our room had the worst possible location and view, facing a loud/busy street and looking at a rooftop and gutter just a few feel outside out balcony. We didn't expect a great room view, so while this was disappointing, we were still hoping to enjoy our vacation. After check in, we went down to the pool and beach area. After checking out the pool for a few minutes and walking to the beach, the pool had closed. We asked about getting some pool towels. We were surprised to see the pool closed so early. They said we would have to wait until morning to get towels. The next morning, we went to the pool to try to get pool towels but it wasn't open yet. We would have liked to have some towels for the beach, so we went to the front desk. They said that no towels were available until the pool opened, so we asked about some extra room towels to take to the beach. They said that room towels were absolutely not allowed to leave the room. So we were left for several hours that morning with no towels. The pool finally opened and we stood in a very long line to get towels and enter the pool. To say the pool was crowded would be an extreme understatement! During the day, it was impossible to get a pool chair, and at one point we counted 24 people in the only available hot tub (the sign said it was limited to 9 people, so over 3x capacity). The pool was also very crowded. Our kids were looking forward to using the slides, but we found out that slide 1 was only open from 11am-2pm, and slide 2 was only open from 2pm-5pm. There were many kids waiting for the slides to open. At the end of the day as slide 2 was closing, I saw a mother and daughter arrive right at 5pm, and they were turned away from the slide as it was just closing. The little girl left in tears, as she had probably just flown hours to Hawaii and arrived too late to use the slide (even though the pool was still open). With so many people staying at the hotel, it is beyond me why each slide can only be open for 3 hours per day! The overall pool area was unsatisfactory, extremely small, extremely poorly staffed, and crowded based on what I would expect for a Hilton vacation club property. We finally got to travel on a winter vacation after Covid. We picked Hilton Grand Vacations Property in Honolulu due to the fact that we didn't have to rent a vehicle in many other locations or other islands. We stayed in the Lagoon Tower. The accommodations were excellent and the ocean view room was absolutely magnificent. We got to see 4 different evening of fireworks during our 16 night stay from our lanai. You can't beat that. We love staying with the Hilton.
