Our stay in general was overall good, there were some quirky things though that could be easily fixed that could have made our stay better, but this resort is older I took that into consideration. We stayed in one of the penthouse rooms on the 24th floor and there was plenty of space and the kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances needed for entertaining, but we did not use any of them. Our room the master was on the second floor of the suite it tended to stay warmer than the other rooms and at night we could hear the elevator motors running quite loudly. I am not sure why but none of our beds had sheets on them which is weird. There was the bottom sheet then a duvet with a down blanket inside which was super-hot and we kicked off in the middle of the night to the floor so sleeping without a cover was weird. My main issue was that after we would get done with our tours each day around 5:00 or 5:30pm the pools and hot tubs closed at 6:00pm and one of the hot tubs was not working at all and was told by an employee walking around the pool area that it had been broken for several weeks. The one day we had a couple hours to use the pool area during the day the other hot tub had children in it and one man holding his toddler in it. It was not bubbling just sitting there stagnant, so not sure if this one was working either. The bellhops were very courteous and, on the ball, and the two ladies that were always in the lobby out front of the check-in area were super friendly as well and greeted us every day of our stay. …

I live on Oʻahu, so we decided to take a staycation for Motherʻs Day weekend. Call ahead for directions to the location of this tower. Lei greetings were nice by two older Japanese women. Our lady who checked us in was Japanese, spoke a little English, didnʻt make eye contact and really made me feel "not wanted". I'm not sure if the treatment I received was because we were Kamaaina but, I hope this kind of treatment is corrected. Your room key is needed to get into the elevator. There are only 3 elevators in Lagoon Tower that everyone uses, including housekeeping. Fridayʻs is the fireworks show, if youʻre downstairs enjoying the show, you may want to hang out downstairs before catching the elevator due to the long lines. We had a 2-Bedroom on the 7th floor, note to request an even room number, the odd number of rooms faces a very noisy street. Additionally, in the morning or middle of the night (3:00 am) you'll be awakened by delivery trucks, vehicles and motorcycles. The room was dated with the furniture. Thereʻs free well maintained laundry equipment by the elevator. Our room didnʻt come with Housekeeping, bring your own disinfectant wipes to clean during your stay and ask for a wet mop to clean your floors. We stayed 3 nights and I canʻt stand not having our room cleaned daily. Enjoyed the Toto Washlet in the Masterbedroom, a nice feature. Numerous food choices, and shopping options on property as well. Purchased a few dresses from the clearance rack at a little boutique on property near the Aliʻi Tower. Be prepared to pay for self parking in the public parking garage that is attached to the towers. We paid $ 64.92 a day to park in the garage which I was not aware of when we booked on the HGVC website. Also, another item not shown on the HGVC booking website is Hawaiʻi has a “transient occupancy tax”. If a timeshare owner is staying at their property or an exchange guest is coming in through RCI or Interval International or any other external exchange company or a timeshare guest is staying at the property – then they pay what is called a “transient occupancy tax” when they check out. We paid $19.11/per day for an additional total of $57.33 plus daily parking of $64.92/a day= $194.76 for a grand total at checkout $252.09. Advising everyone because it can get expensive and I live on the island. There were no Kamaaina discounts for residence!!!! It was hard to find pool chairs, little/ no resort security visible. One very small hot hub😳 that seemed to be crowded. Make sure you check the pool hours. Paradise Pool closes earliest (like 6pm), and their slide and lava tube have designated hours. QR Codes are provided for information on the various bars and restaurants on property. p.s. We just came home from Vegas and stayed at the Elara and The Boulevard properties. If you stayed at these properties, it's premium compared to this tower. The staff needs to be reminded about Aloha and what it means to Hawaiʻi and our people. Disappointed and wonʻt stay here again. …

The location of this tower was recommended by so many others on HGV Facebook page. The tower is very old with only 3 elevators. While we were there only 2 were working! An ocean view means you are also on a very noisy side of the building - the luau is directly below ( however, that is not a problem because it is fairly short and fun to watch). The large event on our first night was so LOUD no one got to sleep. Additionally, in the morning or middle of the night (3:00 am) you might be awakened by trucks delivering to Lapperts, etc. Housekeeping is very responsive, the free and very new laundry equipment by the elevator was a nice surprise. We had only stayed 4 nights but decided to use them since they were all empty. This is not a location for stress free vacation. It was hard to find pool chairs, little/ no resort security visible. One hot hub😳 that seemed to be filled with children. This hot tub was located by the pool with slides and the pool there was very cold.…

Owner and proud habitual user of my Aspire Amex and HH Business Amex Card, this property is an absolute disappointment! First and last time staying! Only positive I am seeing so far is the easy access to the beaches, other than that it's small rooms with a poor layout causing for a late night of listening to kids scream in the pool.

I feel the room was dated with the furniture. Good room and a good view thou. Elevator traffic was bad due to the amount of people staying there, but we expected that. Be prepared to pay for parking in the public parking garage, that is attached to the towers. We paid almost $ 62.00 a day to park in the garage which i was not aware of. Other than the above items it is a good complex and everything on Oahu is expensive. Perfect location for walking thru downtown Honolulu

Large Studio room with a nice small kitchenette. The bed is very comfortable, and the room was very clean. The shower was small and hard to maneuver in, and the water pressure left something to be desired. This was all easily made up for with the heated toilet seat, what an awesome surprise. Hotel is in a very convenient location to everything you need to get to in Waikiki. Numerous food choices, and shopping options on property as well. It rained everyday we were there so we never got to enjoy the pool but it looked very inviting.

Had a 5th floor 2 bedroom ocean/lagoon view apartment. Loved that this tower was close to the ocean. Its a huge resort and some of the other towers are a long walk from the ocean. Perhaps because of being on the 5th floor we had no elevator issues. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Upon checking in I was provided a number to text if I needed anything. When I did text the response was very timely. Our apartment was directly above the nightly luau. We loved it! I realize its not for everyone but this place is not a tiny quiet resort. I saw the checkin and luau lines. They were extrememly long. If you join Hilton Honors (free) you can check in and out digitally and get your room key on your phone. You can always get a key card when there is no line. Timing is important to length of lines. For example, if you want Ice cream from Lappert's the line is very long at 8pm but there is no line in the afternoon. I do not recommend eating at the onsite resturaunts. There are way better and cheaper choices nearby.…

Quick Recap: It’s nice with lots of businesses but it’s overcrowded and slightly overpriced. Detail: I went September 2022 with 7 other women. I booked through Delta Vacations a 2 bedroom ocean view room that I shared with 3 others. We got room 1569. It was very clean and nice view of Marina and ocean if you step on the balcony. The room attendants were super kind. I have no complaints really at all about the actual room. They had all the kitchen items needed and three TVs. Although this is an older building my room specifically seemed like it had been updated. They have 3 elevators and they weren’t super slow or super fast either. Kinda right in the middle. If you are a family with kids I would recommend this resort or if you are with a group who just plans on staying on the resort and not exploring the actual city…I would recommend. I came with a group of late 20s - mid 30s single women and this really wasn’t for us. It’s catered more towards families. A lot of kids, older couples and families everywhere. Not grown and sexy. Lol. Just very family forward. The pool in our building has the slide. It’s a really nice one but the pool was always crowded. Luckily each of the other buildings have pools and you can access all of them accept the Ali pool. The super pool was nice and spacious compared and they have wait staff that will bring you drinks and food. The adult only pool was a happy get away. I believe that one was in the Kalia tower by the spa. The beach stayed packed also. A lot of restaurants on site with great variety of cuisine. I went to CJs( for dinner and breakfast- they have delicious waffles with the butter. Didn’t love the bbq sliders but burgers were cool). Also went to the Italian place called Frescos (had breakfast their too). Loved the potato tots and the pancakes were good. Tropics bar has a beautiful view. It’s over priced and I believe my food was good but I was drunk that day so unsure. Ice cream place was delicious. I think that’s all I had on the resort. ABC stores were super convenient. I had a salad there. Still overpriced but delicious. The resort is close to a lot of stuff so it’s quick to Uber or Lyft to grocery store or restaurants. Average price was $8-$15. Parking is outrageous at $57 a night. We stayed for 8 days and only had a car half the time to cut on costs. If you do a ride share you have to walk all the way across the resort to the Diamond tower to get picked up. That really sucked especially because the airport shuttle dropped us off there with a bunch of luggage and we had to walk far. However, every time after that the drop off was at our tower. It’s just the pickup that’s far. We started putting our pickup point as Goofy Cafe and Dine because it’s a closer/easier walk. The only other complaint about my stay is that they charged a resort fee of $40 a night (which may be standard for Hilton…unsure) and it supposed to give you access to wifi, PlayStation, phone calls , video rental, a couple bottles of water, cultural activities (I didn’t see this), outdoor morning exercise classes and discounts on beach rentals. I’m sorry but that’s ridiculous. We literally only used the wifi because we weren’t there to play games and talk on the phone. If you say you don’t want those things, you should be able to not pay the fee. And it’s not like you got the beach chairs, umbrellas and activities for free. You still had to pay. The bike boats are $50+!!! That’s ridiculous. When I go back to Hawaii, I won’t be staying there. It’s just not for me but I recommend if you like the super busy large resort feel.…

Lagoon Tower at Hilton Grand Vacations (their timeshare version) is one of the BEST towers to stay in. Why? It's closest to the Hilton Lagoon, their Beach (where the Friday Fireworks are, and Atlantis Submarines), the highly popular Paradise Pool (slide and lava tube), on-site luau (Waikiki Starlight Luau), Rainbow Bazaar (with all the cafes and boutiques) and the super popular Lappert's ice cream (where the lines are insane at peak hours, but if you're always passing by - like we were - then you can see when the best times are to get a delicious scoop of Kauai Pie or Hana Road. Our Penthouse unit was #2473, which is the back side of the tower with a corner wrap-around lanai (patio), views of Diamondhead and Waikiki Beach to the East, and the Ala Wai Boat Harbor and Sunset Views to the West. The living area is huge and spacious (for Waikiki) with 2 story glass windows all around. There is a spiral stairway up to the second floor where the two bedrooms are. Two full bathrooms. The master has a sideways view of the harbour, and the 2nd bedroom has city / mountain view. Our living / dining area was spacious and cozy. We loved having the big sofa unit so we could all 'sit together' but be sprawled out. A perfect nap spot. The dining table is a perfect place to hang out together, play games, eat and watch tv. If you need anything, you text them and they'll bring up bath towels, dish washer detergent, laundry detergent, plastic trash bags, toiletries (hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and moisturizer), dental kits, or coffee. They don't use coffee filters, they don't provide chopsticks, or salt and pepper. But they have a nice array of kitchen supplies (hot water unit, toaster, blender, etc.). Laundry Unit is out by the Elevator - a separate room to do your laundry. Your room key is needed to get into the elevator. There are only 3 elevators in Lagoon Tower that everyone uses, including housekeeping. Make sure you check the pool hours. Paradise Pool closes earliest (like 6pm), and their slide and lava tube have designated hours. Parking is $59/night. This is prime parking and prime beachfront area, so these are the rates. TIP: Take a picture of where you park each time, because it's easy to forget which floor and which row you've parked in. They all look the same. You'll need your room key to access going in and out. Jay at Grand Waikikian's porte cochere (for dropoffs/pickups/deliveries/etc) is a wonderful asset to the towers. His welcoming smile and demeanor make everyone feel the spirit of Aloha. Grand Waikikian porte cochere is where Lagoon Tower guests check in, check out, and get picked up. We stayed at Grand Waikikian tower before, and the actual tower is really far away (through a couple long large rooms/halls). Keiko Warner-Egami, Director of Guest Services, was also a wonderful presence for us. We had some concerns and she allayed them quickly and professionally. She called me back multiple times, left me voicemails and emails, and when we finally connected, she was more than welcoming and helpful. She helped to solve our particular challenge which was related to our initial reservation at the Grand Islander and a Hawaii State Dept of Health (DOH) issue which we were not pleased with. Hence, Keiko coming in to save our day! Mahalo Nui Loa. Hilton Hawaiian Village has Fireworks every Friday (again, yay!). ABC market is everywhere in Waikiki and there are 2 on the Hilton Hawaiian Villages resort. You can get everything from spam musubi to beach towels to Bubbie's mochi ice cream to tropical reusable bags for $2.99. The grounds at Hilton Hawaiian Village are spectacular - super lush and tropical, it has picturesque views from so many places on the resort. It's great to be right in Waikiki. You can walk along the beach going West and go to Duke's for breakfast buffet (ends at 11am) or a Sunset Catamaran cruise. Or even walk to one of the best malls in the world - Ala Moana Shopping Center. Things to note: For the master bedroom, the bed is against the back wall which is underutilizing the ocean view. And the elevator machinery room seems like it is just behind the master bed wall so in the mornings (and all day) you can hear every click and clang and movement of the elevators moving up and down. I suggest moving the bed to the other side where the TV is (although I know it's a pain to change a tv that is mounted. But hello, ocean views from the bed and no elevator noise would be the plus. We loved having the dining table in the living area, it felt right and so practical and usable. Housekeeping was so friendly and helpful, every time we would see them, they would say Aloha and welcome. A fabulous place to stay!…
