We rented thru Ali'i Beach Rentals. Pros: linens were pristine, towels beautifully white & fluffy. "Beach view" was just a sliver between buildings, but bird watching from our balcony was great! Close to everything waikiki, building had reasonable security, full size fridge. WORDS OF WARNING: in a security building do not let unknown people in!! If they are supposed to be there they will have their own pass. Cons: the cooktop was in serious disrepair, only one burner worked & other burner knob was completely ripped-out of unit. All the dishes were really dirty (food, lipstick, etc), no stopper for sink to wash them, fold-out bed had large hideous stain (blood? yuk!); they did provide a new thick mattress cover for it. Tiny closet was filled with beach gear & other stuff, so not really usable for clothes. Some sort of luggage rack or benches would have helped space be more usable for 3 people. Latch on sliding completely wrecked so could not open.

Booked through VRBO for 5 days after our cruise. Balcony had the greatest view. We enjoyed preparing and eating breakfast there. Our unit came with a parking space. There were linens and a fully stocked kitchen. Shower and run were very nice. We didn’t need it, but there was a sofa bed. It was so close to everything in downtown Waikiki Beach. It cost $130 a night.

We stayed in a great apartment that was fully equipped with kitchen and cooking facilities. Waikiki [ark Heights is centrally located for shopping, buses, trolleys and is only a five minute walk to the beach. Fully furnished and excellent view. Swimming pool for guests.

I did not have much time to research a good property but after travelling 5600 miles I am happy with my choice. I booked with Captain Cook who were responsive and helpful. As others have written, these are private residences that are rented on a short stay basis. The benefit is you have all the amenities plus a great location in Waikiki. You can easily walk to the beach, zoo and aquarium. There are plenty of shops and there are two decent food trucks right across the street. My unit was on the 15th floor that is accessed by a secure elevator. The entrance is in the rear and leads to a short hallway, bedroom to the left and straight ahead is the living and kitchen area. The real reason I booked here is the view of the water and beach. It is not unobstructed but the view of the fireworks one night was fabulous. The patio is small but usable and many other guests spent time on theirs. There is a suspended pool that was very welcome. I found everything in order and clean. The only problem I had was the telephone did not work. There is a payphone in the lobby but you will need lots of coins. The two TVs had generous cable packages. The bath had good hot water and good pressure. The parking is on the lower levels but may be an extra charge. It is well worth it. I can recommend this property if you are self-sufficient traveller. There is room for three persons and you can prepare your own meals or reheat take-out dishes. There is a laundry in the basement.

My family of four (2kids 8 & 11yrs old) stayed here for a week and we booked through Captain Cook Real Estate. Dealing with them was very quick, easy and professional. We were met by property manager Barbara (contacted her prior) at the lobby and she then showed us the unit. Gave us instructions on how to use the tv etc. The bedroom had a king bed, tv, cupboards and enough space to store our luggages. The living space had a 4 seater dining table and awesome sofa bed (the easiest and the most comfortable sofa bed ever!), nice modern kitchen that I used to make breakfast. The shower was nice and big and had separate toilet, we were provided with beach towels and ample of towels. As requested, they also kindly provided us with a single folded mattress as my kids prefers sleeping on their own bed. With clean sheets (inc pillow cases and blankets). I’m very happy that the unit was very clean and the vacuum cleaner was handy to use during our stay. The beach gears (chairs, umbrella and boogie boards) was really good to have for beach days. This was in the balcony along with 3 chairs and table which we used when we ate breakfast and enjoyed the wonderful view. The view was the most amazing thing about this unit. You could see the surfers! The best view hands down! And the mountain view at the entrance of the unit when going to the lift. Location was central and only 5 mins walk to the beach. Very close to food pantry (grocery store), our favourite eatery international street food - Blue Water Shrimp & Seafood. Bus stop is also only 2 mins walk. We used the bus for $5 all day pass to go to Ala Moana Shopping and also Pearl Harbour (USS Arizona Memorial). We rented a car for a couple of days through Budget at International Market Place (less than 5 mins walk). We used the rental car to go to Kualoa Ranch and Dole Plantation. We parked our car overnight at WPH parking at for $20+taxes (prepaid with Capt Cook Real Estate). We used Aloha Waikiki Shuttle to go to Wakeley Premium Outlets ($10pp) and Hanauma Bay ($60 return for 4-6 people). We loved eating at Cheesecake Factory (such generous serving!) and Ihop and Denny’s. We used the pool once which was located at 4th floor. It was just a quick dip as we already spent a day in Waikiki Beach. We loved our stay at Waikiki Park Heights and we will definitely book with Captain cook real estate next time we are in Honolulu.

Great location, walking distance to main strip of shops and restaurants. Apartment was comfortable but a bit run down. There were 2 bedrooms and the third room was off the lounge room with a curtain separating the bedroom, the curtain was all tattered we had to use a sheet to give us some privacy. Beautiful view of the beach from the balcony, kitchen was well equipped. Security was good key was needed to go up in lifts. Good place to stay if you only want a place to sleep and don’t spend a lot of time in apartment.

Recently, while on a Family Holiday, we had the chance to stay at the Unipack Park Heights, in Waikiki, Honolulu. The Apartment we chose was called Superior, and certainly was very good as it had a Clean Kitchen with all facilities and an outdoor balcony with great views of Waikiki Beach. -- also a Clean Bathroom with plenty of Hot Water. This building is of older design, but looks like it has been well maintained, as everything was clean and worked very well. The Staff in the Office were friendly and helpful, with good transport services available. The Swimming Pool looked to be clean and inviting, although we went to the beach instead because of the location. The Building is only a short walk to the convenience stores and to the Waikiki Beach, and so was well suited to Tourists such as ourselves. -- Awesome Value for money! Well Done, Unipack Heights!

I stayed at this place because it´s walking distance to restaurants, shops, markets and the beach. But it´s not really a Hotel. I only realized that when I checked in. In fact it is a condominium, so the Front Desk is not available 24/7. The apartment was really wonderful. Nice bedroom with 2 single beds,a nice kitchen with all you need to prepare your meals (there is a sofá in the kitchen too), and bathroom has each part separeted from each other: the sink, the shower with hottube and the toillet. There is a small balcony with nice views. The pool area is nice. There are charges for the wi-fi and for the towels.

Waikiki Park Heights building is a great location, however the rooms offered by the unipack hotel are quite dated. Our room smelt very musty and stale, there was mould on the bathroom roof, and the kitchenette was not an option. The fridge works fine, and the stove may have worked, but there were no cooking utensils or equipment. A few plates, no cutlery and a microwave and coffee machine. This place is ok if you just want to spend all day out and about and just use the room to sleep in at night. Don't plan on making any meals in the room though. The aircon worked fine, but overall, the room had a rather drab feel.

Given all the other accommodation prices , this was an awesome value for money. It was exactly like a hotel - where you check in and check out from a reception office, recieve all hotel facilities, what you actually get is a private apartment - with a medium sized living dining kitchen and bedroom and a great balcony overlooking the pool and the sea at Waikiki beach. The room was on the 14th floor with perfect view and all the kitchen and bathroom facilities that you would expect in a hotel as well as in an apartment. The bus stop was right next door and there is a car park inside. Only complaint is that room was not serviced during our two night stay, in spite of clear instructions. Also, if you arrive late, you need to contact the owner beforehand so that she could arrange for an alternative way of picking up keys after the reception desk is closed. She was however very responsive over email and we had no issue picking up keys almost close to midnight. This was our last two nights in Hawaii and it couldnt have been better in our budget!
