For the Boots Bison Cabin located next to the RVs & showing in the picture, there is the Good, the Bad and fortunately no Ugly. I'll start with the bad. You are charged a fee for cleaning plus the instructions on site are for you to wash all of the sheets and towels. This can be a problem if you plan to get up and leave. The washer takes about an hour to wash a load (time for washing a load not listed on information sheet but they provided enough pods for the required wash). The walls are thin, so noise within the unit can be a problem for light sleepers. The good aspects are that it was clean, well furnished, has good beds & sheets, close to town and away from main traffic. There are no grocery stores in Medora, so bring your food since the closest is 30 minutes away.

Upon arriving we realized right away that this was not going to be a good space for a two year old and our dog. Our spot was literally right next to one of the cabins and we had to pull up almost blocking the front door. There was no privacy and if we were to put out a camp table or chairs to sit outside it would have had to be in the road. I’m sure this place is nice for the right visitors but it did not work for what we were looking for and actually ended up leaving and going down the street to get another campsite. I will say that it looked clean and safe, just was highly disappointed as it was not as pictured on website.

We picked this campground due to it being a smaller facility offering only 16 sites. Overall we were pleased with the campground. The sites were average size, we have a 29ft travel trailer. Full hookup for 10 days was around $350 dollars. Some of the sites are laid out strangely and you are backing your camper up to the side of the cabins. However it does work. Also, it is off of the main strip, which we liked. Be aware, there is no bath house or amenities other than WiFi. The WiFi did work well if you were near it. Multiple dumpsters available. The hookups are in odd locations, pretty long sewer run on our site. Also, there is no office onsite. You either pay online, or at the Boots Bar and Grill in town....which is probably only a mile away. If you have any issues....such as someone being in your site...you must call the Bar, which gets super busy. In our situation we were told to park in the next nearest site, which then caused other issues when other campers arrived. Definitely give it a try, we will definitely stay here again in the future. If you read this give it a thumbs up.
