Mostly clean and front desk staff - Rachel, Noah, Lilly are really great. Nothing really horrible to report - I would stay again if necessary. I've been there 4 nights so far and my car seems safe. Just make sure you remove anything visible from the outside. Walmart close by makes shopping easy. I bought a Swiffer since floors in my room were not the cleanest. Didn't see any bugs. Front desk area and elevator needed floors seriously cleaned or replaced.

We appreciate your comments about the cleanliness; we'll pass this feedback to our housekeeping team for further enhancements. Great to hear that your vehicle felt secure and the proximity to Walmart was convenient. We hope to welcome you back soon, under better circumstances.

Multiple insect traps and cockroaches in room and bathroom. Cabinets in bathrooms and living spaces had food dropped down the front of them - never wiped clean. Dishes in the kitchen weren’t clean. Room had terrible odor to it.

Terrible part of town and the hotel follows suit. The place obviously has long term residents that are problematic, Police showed up at least once a day that we saw and twice several days. Spider crawled over me in bed one night and we were above a barbecue are that was loud late at night with drinking and smoking. Very low class feel to this place overall, DO NOT STAY HERE,

Friendly staff saved this review. The front lobby and check in feels like you are in the dorms of the 60's. Off putting is being kind. It was dark, not clean or inviting, and a big surprise to us as we have stayed at Sonesta ES in other places. This one doesn't measure up to even an economy stay place. Though the room was orderly, it was not clean. The garbage disposal, had one of the few pieces of cutlery in it. There were inadequate table ware to serve a meal for two people, let alone the three this unit could have hosted. Parking was free, but there were signs stating that there may be "bait vehicles" in place warning potential car thieves to beware. NOT something this retired couple felt as comforting. But understand, this may be a sign of the community and not necessarily the Sonesta. So "seedy" area? We don't know, since we are traveling through. The dog areas were well lighted, but only one had "poop bags" available. We will not be returning to this property any time soon. We were there just one night prior to the facility being visiting for the first time by Executives from the "home office". Seems if we were having such august guests we might have tried harder to have a clean welcoming property. They would have been given a failure by me if I was the owner.

Stayed here 3 nights for a visit with family. Certainly the price seemed good but then it should be when the heat in the room isn't working. It's also not the best area. Finally, their frequent stay program puts out an offer to you that is badly communicated and not fulfilled. I don't think we will be searching out Sonesta hotels in the future.

Filthy carpets and cockroaches in the bathroom. Dishwasher was full of dishes along with the coffee pot for which there was only 1 serving. I got the sense that there were a number of long-term residents which makes me wonder if they even care to provide a quality hotel environment.

The hotel was clearly owned by another chain previously. It looked like a lot of renovations had been made. The reception area could definitely do with a face-lift, but the room itself was lovely. With a full size fridge, dishwasher and cooking utensils, it really provided a home from home. The ceilings are somewhat thin - there were a couple of times it sounded like a herd of elephants above us! So I'd definitely suggest booking the second floor if you can. I didn't use the laundry, but it was large and appeared to be in good shape. There is a well equipped gym too - but I was surprised to find a half-naked homeless man sleeping on the floor in the gym one morning. Somehow he'd got past reception and into the card-key locked gym. The staff dealt with the situation, but they do need to improve security overall. Despite that, we really enjoyed our stay, and would certainly stay again on a future trip. If you have an EV, an added bonus is that it is right next to a Walmart with Electrify America fast chargers. That was very convenient!

Was in Albuquerque unexpectedly and selected this location because it is part of the Intercontinental Hotel group. I am so glad I decided to stay. Mary at the front desk was just so helpful and friendly, and the rooms were great too. I think I’ll be finding more reasons to come to Albuquerque.

I had a great experience at this hotel. Especially when visiting the bar I had the pleasure of meeting the bartender Samantha and the waitress Diana. They are both excellent assets to the company. I was treated very kindly and promptly. Samantha made me great drinks and made sure I was happy. Diana kept checking on me and was amazing. Will definitely stay here everytime I travel here. Very pleased!
