I would have given it 5 stars except the rooms are badly needing a renovation. The couch was badly stainedabd very old, same for the carpet. The bed cover needed replacing as well. Breakfast was decent, plenty of choices. Front desk people were excellent.
Had to make reservation while traveling to Corpus Christi due to cancelation of the first day of our booking at another hotel in Port Aransas. Hampton staff was very helpful in this short notice booking. Arrived and check in was very efficient, staff was friendly and helpful. Room on the second floor was very nice and quiet. Hand sanitizer stations were in good locations. The free breakfast was limited due to Covid and plastic wrapped food items were of good quality and tasty. Staff indicated that a regular breakfast was planned to return soon. We checked out later in the morning and picked some more of the rolls, to go. Overall they turned a travel mess into a nice experience. Would recommend this hotel for business and vacation. It is about a 20 minute straight shot down to the beach and there are multiple restaurants and stores nearby. Hotel is back off from South Padre Island Drive so freeway noise is not a problem.…
We regularly stay at 4 and 5 star accommodations, but what this Hampton Inn lacks in luxury it more than makes up for in service and good basics. 4th floor room was quiet, comfortable and clean, not to mention surprisingly roomy. Just what we needed for a 5 night stay. However, it was the employees, who, without exception, were friendly, professional, accommodating and helpful. Service like this isn’t easy to find anywhere at present. I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I highly recommend this Hampton Inn.
The 2 rooms I was given both had lights that didn't work. Shower door was not functional and the price was more then my online reservation price by almost $200. I would have been better off staying at motel 6.
We stayed at this hotel for one week. While it could use a few upgrades ( one of which was in progress - carpet cleaning) such as new mattresses, overall the place was well-kept and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially Lisa and Mary, who do an excellent job of maintaining the breakfast buffet, even up to they last minute it is open. They will help you if you can't find something. I also saw them help other guests with the waffle iron and other items. Food is average but hot and fresh and there is a good variety. Rose takes good care of linens. We had everything we needed and it was clean and fresh. The pool is also well-kept and clean. We'll be back if we are able to visit Corpus Christi again next year.
The staff at this hotel were very pleasant. The lobby and breakfast area appeared clean and updated. The gym was basic but clean. However, my opinion of the hotel began to decrease upon getting on the elevator. During the entirety of my stay, the elevator was dirty, littered by crumbs, liquids, and crumpled paper towels all over the floor. Additionally, only one elevator was working, and it was terribly slow. My room appeared to have been serviced since the last guest, but it was in need of a much deeper cleaning. There were small stains, including blood stains, on the comforter. There was mold and grime in the corners of the shower. The toilet seat had a faint stain on it. There were small hairs from a different guest in the shower. While I felt safe at this hotel and felt that the staff was very responsive, I would not stay here again. I felt like I could not completely relax in my room because it was dirty. Until this hotel decides to take its cleaning standards more seriously, I will not be staying here again.…
Horrible hotel. Filthy room and poorly trained staff. Room wasn’t ready 2 hours after it should have been. When we checked in we were told, sorry no cable or any tv until the following Monday. Desk clerk told us he could not find us another Hilton unless we wanted to call around ourselves. Disgusting stained carpet, moldy shower and broken refrigerator. Oh and again….NO TV!!!
Decent area for food and shopping. Pretty close to the gulf on S. Padre island. Coffee is always available, just not hot, usually just warm. Breakfast was good, but drink dispenser was not working one morning, so your options were coffee water or milk.
Not the type to leave reviews but the 2 women who serve breakfast were extremely rude about the lack of several breakfast items. hotel needs to account for having enough food to feed max cap residents
This hotel was very clean and nice. It’s an older hotel but everything still looked great . Had a great night rest and great weekend in this hotel. Didn’t speak to a lot of employees since I got the app and the membership so I had everything I needed on the app but I consider that as a good thing because everything went smoothly and no problems I was concerned about. Great hotel.
