From the moment I arrived this hotel was a great experience. My partner booked the room for a weekend away- he made a great decision! This hotel is close to the Capital, Temple Square, City Creek, and also not a far walk from great bars. So, it was great for both tourist adventures as well as food.

There where a few hiccups checking in but they made it up with a room upgrade. Location is easy to get to all your needs while in Salt lake. The room itself was nice as well. They could have cleaned a touch better but I’m super super picky. I would definitely stay here again.

The parking is horrible. You'll have to anticipate on paying an extra $20 for parking. Which isn't a big deal but then there's no entrance near the parking garage. The room (King Deluxe) was just like a Holiday Inn just cleaner. The staff was nice and we enjoyed our stay but next time we'll save the $300 and stay at a Holiday Inn. At least that way we'll get a free breakfast.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, and then some, the service was very mediocre. It is clear no one cares at this place. The front desk was curt at best with check in. They (forgot??) to tell us we needed to swipe a pad with our door key to operate the elevator. I love old hotels, but I dispise poor attitude. The valet was soso. The room wasn't cleaned after our first night so had to make the bed and pick up towels. Wow, just like home, except a lot more expensive! Had to go to the lobby for a very small cup of coffee that they doctor....ummm?? Upon leaving there were three people at the desk, 5 feet away, and not a word of good bye etc. Just more like "go away" Left an object there. Called them. The person gave very curt directions of how to go to a site, here's the number, um wait, I need a pen!!, more instructions , barely got to check details and she hung up. No, "good bye, have a nice day" I guess that just summed up what I thought of this hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable too!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Kimoton SLC! The service was wonderful - very friendly and attentive. It’s a beauty hotel. Everything felt very clean. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the AC room control requires a “special trick” to get it to turn on. By the time we got to our room at 11 pm, I was too tired to call and worry about getting dressed so someone could come to our room to look at it. So we slept with no AC. When I asked the next morning, they said that the ac won’t turn on unless you turn the dial to 74, then turn it off, then turn it back on. And it will auto shut off at 65. Way too complicated! A note posted near the thermostat in the room would have been very helpful. Otherwise, a very nice stay and will definitely be back!
