This review is long overdue, we traveled last April. I considered giving 4 stars because the price is steep compared to similar quality hotels in other destinations, but hotels in Hawaii are expensive and this hotel will deliver a wonderful experience for anyone! The setting in Wailea is dreamy. You will have access to two gorgeous beaches - we went for walks very early every morning and during sunset, and set up the cutest picnics by the beach. truly gorgeous setting. Lots of options for food, including a wide variety for the kids. The view from the breakfast area was really nice, or for simple mornings, there is a Starbucks on site. There is also a store next to the Starbucks with lots of snacks , drinks, beers, medicine, etc at very reasonable prices. The four seasons resort is next door so we booked their restaurant for a special dinner. The food wasn’t the best but we got a really wonderful oceanfront table and had a lovely night. It was also fun to re live all of the filming locations from the white lotus in person! For those traveling with kids: our 5 year old twin girls had so much fun! The family pool was the best for them, they played for hours, running around, splashing, making friends, and never wanted to leave. Also there are tons of activities offered free of charge- high quality and very special. The outback canoe trip first thing in the morning was absolutely magical. We spotted so many turtles and my little girls were in heaven. S’mores by the ocean was so wonderful too , and the Lei making activity was fun! My only complaint is that we were given bad rooms multiple times, and had to waste so much time waiting for them to find a new room for us. The front desk people would promise a quiet room and it was only once getting there that we would find that it was located in a very busy area of the resort, this happened more than twice , until the manager Jill finally came to help. I commend Jill for the wonderful customer service provided, but do suggest the hotel look at improvements for the checkin experience and information provided by front desk staff. It was very frustrating to waste valuable vacation time being misled by resort employees. Overall, a really wonderful place ,,, we hope to be back one day!!…

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful location right between the 4 Seasons and the Andaz Resort. There is a great beach path right in front of the resort that was awesome for morning walks. Our room walked right out to the beach and had a very large lanai to gather on. The sunset views are unbeatable. Many pool options including Nelu activity pool with tremendous water slides and great food options at the Mo Bettah food truck. The adult infinity pool had a great vibe and the family pool had a DJ spinning music all day long which was very entertaining. The Bell and Valet staff were second to none. We were traveling with family so there were 3 of us with the same last name which can create confusion. The staff knew us by name on the first day and were very attentive and friendly anytime we needed them. I would definitely stay at this property again and highly recommend it.…

My wife and I came out here for a vacation. Our original flight (Hawaiian) cancelled due to maintenance, and they couldn't rebook us for 2 days. I remained engaged with the hotel from the original delay to the final cancellation. Eventually spoke to a manager once the flight cancellation was official. She graciously slid our stay to the right 2 days at no cost, so we'd be able to stay our originally planned 5 nights. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite. Our upgraded room took awhile to be ready, but we were already scheduled to attend the Luau that evening (highly recommended!), we went there instead of waiting. The rest of the stay was absolutely relaxing. With the onsite shops and restaurants, as well as 'The Shops at Wailea' literally across the street, it was a 100% relaxing stay. Every single member of the staff we interacted with was professional, courteous, and expressed a genuine desire to ensure our stay was pleasant. Highly recommend attending the Luau, as well as kayaking and snorkeling with the turtles. Have been to the islands numerous times. However, have now found our new favorite island and location!…

We went early March 2023 as part vacation (to see our son) & business. This was one of the best resorts we have been to. The walk up to the lobby is stunning since it's an open lobby with the ocean in the background. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had a beach/pool vantage on our porch. We saw multiple whales on the water from our porch. There are several eating options including a full restaurant, food truck, and other bar/dining options on the resort. There is a beach walkway for the joggers/walkers. There is a relatively nice sized gym on the resort. There are multiple pools and hot tubs with plenty of chairs & loungers. There was even some covered areas. There is a local market and store on the resort with a good sized mall in walking distance. Parking is good with no concerns of theft/vandalism. We like to take local public transportation and were able to get from the airport to the resort via public busses (it did involve a bus transfer). Lyft/Uber were plentiful and we did rent a car our last several days to take in the views of the island. The only real downside is that we like to cook and there was no kitchenette in the room. There may have been in the other rooms but we are not sure. There was one night where some rowdy guests were up late at the pool/hot tub but the hotel easily handled it. Overall, I would give this a 5/5 with family friendly atmosphere and many things/events to do. …

Excellent resort. Very attentive. Beautiful. Great vibe. I had a minor issue with the ac in my room. I was offered to change rooms or for the issue to be addressed. They attended to ac issue quickly AND I received a follow up call to make sure I was happy.

The bad: The room smelled like a basement, damp and very musty. A waitress and a manager were quite rude. The bathroom sink in the room didn't drain and smelled like rot. Bathroom shower water temperature fluctuates from very hot to cold... you can try to set it, but you've got to keep messing with it or take really quick showers. AC in room worked when it wanted too. The good: Front desk staff, cleaning staff, grounds keepers, maintenance personnel, majority of wait staff, pretty much everyone, was amazing... they did a great job and deserve to be congratulated. Always happy and friendly and were quick to help with anything we needed. Hotel looks very nice and is in a good location. Food was decent Pools were fun. Spa was nice. We had an ocean view room with a walk out patio. Loved the room. Big closet, safe, shampoo/conditioner, body wash pumps in shower, big bathroom, frig. The resort is beautiful. Incredible walkway along beach. Family pool with slides and little kid area, all sorts of games around like ping pong, shuffle board, refillable water stations, sunscreen stations, lots of beach/pool towels, shower stations for rinsing off, pool bars, rocks with tide pools for exploring, a very nice beach, available rentals of anything you need, live music through out resort in evening, kids game room, beautiful area up front with swings. Great family vacation.

Family with small kids. We had the absolute BEST time and will definitely be back. The grounds are beautiful, the room was great with an awesome view of the nightly sunsets and the daily resort amenities that are included in resort fee were really great offerings to take a break from pool or beach when needed. My kids loved the daily s’mores. Special shoutouts to Terence, Ashley and Kevin but truly all the staff were so kind and took such great care of us. We’re sad to be leaving and can’t wait to return!
