Imagine a place as uplifting for the soul as it is relaxing for the body. A place of understated luxury and utter comfort, where you are surrounded by beauty at every turn - a place that, in bringing together the finest art and the warmest hospitality, brings people together from all over the world to share and experience both. A place built on the belief that when you stay with art, the art stays with you long after you leave. Such a place is the Elma Arts Complex Luxury Hotel. Located atop the hills of Zichron Ya'akov, its elevated position allows for breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. Elma itself is a work of art. And like the pioneers who built Zichron over a century ago, Elma brings something completely new to the world. The vision of arts patron Lily Elstein, it offers an experience that pampers the body as it nourishes the spirit.

In short - beautiful hotel ruined by poor service. The room was beutiful and big. We traveled with an infant (3 months old) and asked in advance to have a baby bed and a baby bathtub. Check-in took a long time since there was only one receptionist which was also taking phone call reservations. When we arrived to the room there was no baby bed and no bathtub. The room floor dirty, to the level things we sticking up our feet and we had to wear flip flops. We called reception and they brought the baby bed and bathtub, but without the ability to shut it. We had to call again. On the second day, we found a little piece of glass on the bed, and moved it to the table, after the room was "cleaned" the piece of glass was still there floor was still dirty this is when we called the reception and told them we are going out and are asking to re clean the room by 18:00 when we are coming back for getting our baby to bed. They said "OK" though when we came back room was still not cleaned. They appligized and this when we asked to speak with a manager. They offered some compensation which to me doesn't satisfy. We will not be coming back to this hotel.

Very unpleasant stay. Ordered half bord, arrived on time, no table for us even though we reserved well in advance. Staff not helpful to say the least. Room not clean and missing basic stuff. For soap we had to go to reception (8 flights of stairs, no elevator) and they had no soap. When we begged (after asking 3 times) for the room to be cleaned, wet towels were taken away, but none supplied in return. Water from shower and sink did not drain so main use of the few towels was used to absorb dirty water. When asking to speak to a manager to correct some of our impression, we were told that all managers are on vacation, staff is short and that is the best we can get. Going to the pool to cool down was not successful as no towels and no shady places were available. Told our disappointment to the evening manager and got a mouthful of apologies and promises to correct our experience. Of course, that did not happen. At the end of our stay, we were charged an extra 10% over the initial price offering, just because of blunder in the hotel reservation system. Suggest you visit the place before choosing a room or even making a reservation. Most rooms are unreachable for people with any difficulty in climbing stairs and a definite NO-NO for disabled persons. Some technologies used are bizarre (turning on and off the toilet light from the bathroom lobby that is on the other side of the room. To sum up - we ended up paying round 4,000 US$ for 1 full day (2 nights) in a hotel that rates itself as luxurious and deserves 2-3 stars on service. Great disappointment, very poor value for a lot of money.

Great hotel! We did a one night Saturday. Check in only at 18:00 on Sat but they let us enjoy pool etc when we arrived at 14:00. Room really modern — # 117 - with amazing view of Medetteranean. Food very good and waiters etc very friendly. Beautiful setting on precipice of mountain. They have state of the art music hall but our concert was cancelled due to corona so went to the Hobbit pub in city center - highky recommend!!! Hotel great for kids as well

We came to the Elma expecting a luxurious experience. Upon arrival, it was clear that the rooms had not been properly turned over between guests. There were hairs on the shower and sheets. The utensils were moldy and dirty. After asking the front desk to take care of the situation, we returned to find that the rooms were still not properly cleaned. After a scrub treatment in the spa I was sent to shower in a stall that had three pairs of used disposable underwear on the floor. This total lack of hygiene was appalling especially during a pandemic. We were uncomfortable staying any longer and the hotel has charged us full price and has ignored all of our calls for the past 48 hours. Terribly shocking service and an embarrassing treatment to customers who were so excited for a positive experience.

The idea around this special place has a great potential if someone in this fabulous place will wake up and make big changes in the management of this resort and keep a daily watchdog to be sure that guests are getting a professionnal treatment and that this wonderful place being maintained and cleaned in a professionnal way . Although the corona is coming back and there are regulations not all the guests are wearing masks inside the building or restaurant, and the hotel staff doesnt interfere to prevent guests guests to enter the restaurant without masks or to self serving food without masks .The general facilities of the hotel are not clean and also we spent 4 nights at the hotel when we came back at the end of the day of the second night our room wasnt ready and clean and we had to speak with 4 differents people at the managemenf and room service and request the cleaning of the room which was done at 18.12 pm when we didnt get any apology about the failure .As there was a wedding in the hotel , after the wedding it took 2 days for the staff t to collect empty alcoholic bottles from the gardens and clean the mess that was left by the wedding guests .There is a great lack of professionnal management and you cant feel a real care of the client . The way by wich the resort is managed today will bring this place to a future failure when clients will not come back another time as they will realize that this resort is not a luxury managed hotel at that the whole dream of Mrs Allstein is getting sel drowned .
