Made reservations months in advance with another couple. Wanted rooms close. We arrived and were told we would be close to each other. We were in the same park if that is what they call close. We paid $160 for a deluxe room with balcony. What a joke. I have a closet bigger than that room is. The park is nice but make the drive in from town and save your money.

Come for the location - endless views, the night sky, sunrise over the Mesa. Being nestled inside made it incredibly convenient to drive to the sites and join an early morning tour. The room itself isn't as plush as the photos but they're clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff's commitment to Covid - masks and distance were apparent. We felt very safe. The key didn't work initially and the staff fixed it right away. They also went out of their way to help with kennel arrangements for our dogs - they all went above and beyond. Can't wait to come back!

We visited at the end of August and stayed here only because it was the best lodging we could find near Cortez that would be family-friendly. It was a long drive into the park, but we saw bear and other wildlife so it made for an enjoyable experience. Lodging was good, staff was friendly, and the views were great. Hardly anyone else around and was very quiet.

Far View Lodge is an excellent choice for accommodation within Mesa Verde. Our room was super quiet and clean. It was also a short walk to the main lodge and terrace. Easy check in and out. Pleasant and efficient staff.

The lodge is in a great location-right inside Mesa Verde National Park. While the park itself is beautiful, I would stay somewhere else. Our room smelled bad as soon as we stepped foot inside. We finally figured out it was the shower that smelled bad. We didn't even try taking a shower it was so bad, We were reserved for two nights at the lodge, but ended up leaving a day early as the smell was so bad. There were also 3 mouse traps that someone had thrown outside our room. You would think Aramark, who runs the lodge, could fix up the rooms somewhat. One good thing- the food in the restaurant was very good and we had a beautiful view.
