Hotel Colee, Atlanta Buckhead, Autograph Collection offers a prime location in the vibrant Buckhead area, which many guests appreciate. However, the hotel's service has garnered mixed feedback, with some travelers commending the staff's friendliness, while others faced slow or unresponsive service. The amenities, including a rooftop bar, please some guests, but issues with room service and pool upkeep have been noted.
Room complaints mainly revolve around maintenance, noise, and cleanliness. Although the atmosphere is described as lively and eclectic, the value proposition is questioned due to unexpected charges.

Detailed Reviews
This is a nice place, but there are things you need to know.
First, no housekeeping service unless you request it. We weren’t told and no card/sign announcing the policy. We finally called after two days and they said it is Marriott policy. Then they only gave us one washcloth. You would expect that they would work from a checklist of what to leave…or leave a bag with some towels/cloths on the door rather than do nothing.
Second, figure at least $50 per day for parking (including tips). There is no place nearby to self park. The valets are very nice and service is quick.
Third, this is Buckhead, and a very stylish spot. That means marijuana smell all day and all night, inside and outside, up and down. I am sure that there is nothing the hotel can do about it.
Fourth, there is very little food available. Some snacks can be ordered in the bar at happy hour. There may be a sort of room service/box lunch sort of thing, and there is free coffee in the morning, but no breakfast items in the bar.
There is a nice Corner Cafe across the street at Maggianos that has a nice breakfast.
Finally, there has been damage to the front of the hotel which is covered with several large pieces of (painted) plywood. There is some seating out there, but the water feature was broken during our visit and the area looked very neglected.
Bottom line: Super edgy design and great front office, but shaky attention to detail by housekeeping and maintenance.

The building itself used to be a ‘W’ hotel, but has been re-branded and the interior redone. It’s a bit eclectic, but clean and warming.
Staff were all friendly and attended to every request promptly. As a Titanium Elite, we were upgraded to a Skyline room with a view.
Parking is a bit pricey, $44 a night valet only. But retrieving the vehicle via texting from the room never took over 5 minutes (usually less).
The Lobby bar is known for their sparkling wine cocktails and serves snacks and light dinner. Also has a full breakfast in the morning till 11am.
The rooftop lounge (Whiskey Blue) was nice, but it is not associated with the hotel and thus you cannot do a room charge so bring your credit card.
FWIW, the name ‘Colee’ means absolutely nothing and was made up.

Monthly I return to ATL for work. I ONLY stay at the Hotel Colee. The customer service is incredible and so is the decor. Jasmine, Tyler, and David Michael are always pleasant. Many of the staff members remember your name ! They have cute bar activities and small bites at the downstairs bar from time to time. After a long day, I can sit and work in a posh environment. Rooms are always impeccably polished and peppy music is always playing when you are in the lobby area. See you next month!

This past week I stayed at the W in Buckhead and was quite disappointed in the service.
Upon checking in I asked the front des k associate for my room number and was told it was written on the card key envelope. Once I looked at the envelope it wasn’t. Easy mistake however this was just the beginning of the horror.
Once in my room I went to use the bathroom . Which I notice had a dirty wash cloths behind the door. I went to the front desk and asked for the bathroom to be cleaned, a modest request especially during a pandemic. I was told it would be immediate cleaned. I left the hotel for a few hours and returned only to find the bathroom in the same condition. I contacted the front desk again only to be told nothing could be done until the morning at 9:00 AM.
In the morning around 9:30 AM I returned back to the front desk and I was promised again that the bathroom would be cleaned. I waited an hour and no one arrived . This time my girlfriend called and finial hospitality arrived with new towels one of which was soiled. Then 15 mins later a lady arrived to clean the bathroom. She was in there about 5 mins then left and guess what, she didn’t removed the wash cloth. I had to go and chase her down the hall to have her return to remove it. It took 4 request to have a bathroom clean in a 4 star hotel.
For this inconvenience the front desk clerk promised to credit my bonvoy account enough points for a one night stay and remove the charge for valet parking. All I received was credit that I stay at the hotel for the night and was charged for valet parking.
I would not recommend to stay at this hotel if you are concerned about social distancing. They do not enforce wearing mask. Housekeeping seems incapable of properly cleaning. Also, the front desk staff gives empty promises. I have stay at many W hotels through out the country because the service is usually excellent. The W Buckhead did not live up to this expectation. I have received better service at a Comfort Inn. For a hotel to have the slogan “whatever whenever” I expected a lot more and do not plan to stay at this location ever again.

To preface this review, I have NEVER felt the need to leave a negative review until now. As a Titanium Elite member with Marriott who travels weekly throughout the Midwest, South and Southeast, I have stayed in all of Marriott’s brands. I chose the W in Buckhead as a treat to myself, stupidly expecting the level of service Marriott usually has for one of their “Luxury” brands. The level of service was deplorable and incredibly disappointing for ANY Marriott brand…much less a W. Other than the Valet, there was not one individual at this property that had any pride in their job or cared about any customer concerns. Even requesting a bottle of water was a major undertaking. As a single female traveling to multiple states for work, I always choose properties that offer food, so I don’t have to leave the hotel, especially after dark. I was denied access to the only restaurant in the hotel because I didn’t have a reservation. While waiting for my $20 glass of wine (literally sitting behind a rope at the hostess stand for 20 minutes after paying for my wine) I was told that there are several restaurants within walking distance. Great for all the ladies who want to stay safe at their hotel and not have to wander the streets of Atlanta to get something to eat. Ok, fine…. I will order food through an expensive food app because the W Buckhead is happy to turn down their paying guests. The level of service at this hotel was comparable to a $29 motel in the middle of nowhere. So disappointed, usually all Marriott properties, from Fairfield’s to W’s have impeccable service. . The W in Buckhead is sadly is lacking in their employees caring about anything. Truly disappointing for such an expensive property, I will never come back.

Staying here made me really appreciate the significance of autograph hotels in how they are so different and unique in their own way. I really enjoyed myself with the rooftop experience. Breakfast was vital but the restaurant experience if one could of been better…Security and Hotel staff were very accommodating in what they could but no bell hop on a Monday weird! I stayed Friday until Monday and I wish they had a real room service but valet was nice enough to point to walkable places to go instead. Valet Tyler and one other gentleman always opened the door to hotel and car and did not beg or look for a tip I definitely appreciate genuine service no matter if it is your job you can sense genuine duties being performed at their best. I would visit again for the rooftop experience, cleanliness, and staff. Everything about the hotels look has been updated now if we can update the amenities that this place use to offer when the hotel was called something else I’d give it 5 star but now 3.5stars.
Pros:
Rooftops experience,
Location
Cleanliness
Cons:
No room services that are needed with adequate food
Restaurant and bar downstairs are hardly open and understaffed and the food doesn’t taste good.
No bellhop

My girlfriend wanted to stay in Atlanta for her birthday. We decided on the W because of the whatahotel deals. We were told we had a $100 credit to use at the bars and restaurants. because of COVID-19 we called ahead and made sure everything was open, they said yes. upon arrival we found this to be a lie. The only thing open was the rooftop bar, which you could not use the credit under because the bar is not associated with the hotel. When talking to the front desk they told us we could not only use the credit with room service. we went to our room to order room service. closed. no room service because it was only open from 7 am to 11 am. We called the front desk and talked to us like we were idiots for not knowing that room service was no longer available and the only thing we could use our credit for was the valet service. In the morning when we woke up we went to get our car from valet, it was now closed because it is only open on the weekends. The front desk said we still had to pay the full price for the hotel. My girlfriend being treated so horribly broke down in tears once we got to the car. We finally said screw this place and made a reservation elsewhere. I called and spoke to the manager, being as rude as he could finally gave me a full refund on the horrible hotel. Do no stay here ever. I will never stay at another W establishment and recommend that no one stay here. The staff is nothing but rude and a bunch of liars. The W Buckhead might as well be a cheap pay by the hour motel. It is unwelcoming and no one is friendly. They just expect you not to ask questions as they take your money and run.

This was my first time ever staying at a “W” Hotel but I had always heard that they were super nice and I was excited to stay there. After 3 nights at this hotel here are my thoughts:
The Good:
The check in was a breeze and the front desk staff was very friendly. I had some things delivered to the concierge desk on 2/12 about 12pm and the guy who was working there was in a word fabulous. He was super accommodating to me and my many requests. The room (I stayed in room 516) was super clean and smelled wonderful. The meeting rooms that we used were great and the staff working in those rooms were awesome.
The Neutral:
I really wish there was a regular coffee maker in the room versus the Nespresso machine. Everyone doesn’t like expresso. Luckily they had coffee in the meetings I was going to but I would have loved to be able to enjoy a morning cup before leaving my room in the morning. There's only ice machines on every other floor so if you stay on an odd numbered floor be prepared to travel to another floor for ice.
The Bad:
The ceiling area about the shower in my room was peeling BAD (in my pictures). The 3 nights that I stayed there I ordered room service for dinner each night and 2 of the 3 times (2/11 & 2/12) my order arrived wrong. The weirdest part is the receipt was correct so the person taking the order got it correct but the person cooking didn’t pay attention to what was ordered. I felt so bad for the people delivering. They were very apologetic but I felt back that they had to come to my room twice.
The couple of things that were bad didn’t really take away too much from my stay at this hotel. Overall my stay was good and I would probably stay at this or another “W” Hotel in the future.

This hotel is struggling with returning to a somewhat normal level of service. There were not many guests and all food, bar and pool options were closed. Only a very limited breakfast room service Menú (in a box and bag) was available. Coffee, Eggs bacon and potatoes was $31. No housekeeping services available. I understand the times we are in, but a Holiday Inn Express 3 weeks ago was better prepared to greet guests.

This marks about 25 stays that I have completed with Hotel Colee for business, and there are several reasons that I continue to return. From the time that I pull up to the Valet Immanuel, or one of the many other nice members of the valet team, great me with a smile (and in Immanuel’s case, a warm greeting remembering my name and friendly information that we’ve shared throughout my many trips). They always remove my bags for me, offer me additional waters, and hold the door for me to enter the hotel. The hotel is decorated so eclectic, and just give you an energy boost from all the light and bright colors. When you head to check in Damien greets you with a smile, and talks to you like an old friend making you feel welcome and appreciated for your loyalty. The rooms are ALWAYS clean, and in the event something goes haywire (after so many trips something is bound to happen), such as an overworked air conditioner in the heart of summer, maintenance has it fixed within the hour, so you quickly resume the ultimate comfortability. If it fancies you, the Sisters restaurant, lobby bar, or rooftop bars are great for taking a load off and enjoying a refreshing cocktail or glass of wine. If you’re hungry, definitely ask for Jennifer. The girl knows how to cook and what people like, she would never steer you wrong. Lastly, let’s not forget that the gym here has REAL gym equipment, such as machines, which you often will not find in a standard hotel gym. Overall, just a great place with great people. Consider Hotel Colee for your next Atlanta (not just Buckhead) trip!
