Not maintained well. The toilet kept stopping up. There was no room service to provide you clean linen or fresh towels. Trash was never emptied while I was a guest. When I arrived and saw my room, I could tell it had not been cleaned. The refrigriator had food stains and had not been cleaned. WIFI never worked during my entire stay. The was very, very basic with not much to choose from. There were no free weights.

The hotel is not new, but is functional and walking distance to many places (Aquarium, Hard Rock Café, Peachtree Marta Station, etc.)
Good Wi Fi, Hot tube, AC and comfortable beds.
Only thing, (and I've seen this in some hotels in the US after Covid 19) was not as clean as I would like (I know there is not much people that wants to work in hotels), but it works for the days I stayed with my son, and had a nice price too.

We stayed here only one night and it provided the necessary requirements for a good night's sleep. The location is nicely situated in downtown Atlanta and the room was clean. We were only passing through for the night and it met our purpose.

Booked a room at this hotel because it was a good price and I saw the 3.5 "Very Good" rating on Trip Advisor. I do not understand how that rating is possible. We paid $200 for a non-smoking air conditioned room. When we arrived the room smelled like smoke, and we were told it was due to a fire in the laundry room. Air conditioning didn't work but was doing a very good job of growing mold. And there was hair on the toilet. Neither the hotel or hotels.com is helping me get a refund despite me walking away from the room after seeing it. The photos are deceptive (where are they from?).

+1
A friend and I booked this hotel as part of a road trip we were doing, so we wanted somewhere central and did book last minute, a lot of the reviews I read said it was dated and needed renovating, which we could deal with as we were on a budget. What it didn't say is that it was filthy and needed closing!
The hotel had a funny smell the minute we walked in and the elevator didn't look like it was going to make the journey to the 2nd floor. Dated is an understatement as I'm not sure what era exactly this hotel is from. Upon entering our room we were horrified! It was, without any exaggeration, disgusting! The walls were filthy, the sheets didn't look clean, we had a "balcony" but the door was so thin and wobbly it may as well not have been there, so you could hear all of the noise from the outside. We chose to gingerly close the curtain and not touch the door to hope for the best that it would last the duration of our stay! However, my bed was closest to the door with a thin sheet on and it was freezing, they had a "heating system' which just blasted out about 5 minutes worth of heat every hour if you were lucky. I didn't want to ask for a blanket because I already didn't want to sleep in the sheets that were provided so I didn't have high expectations for what they would give me, if anything at all.
We didn't even want to use the bathroom through fear of catching something, there were questionable brown stains up the wall and on the shower curtain and that's just the highlights!
There were no smoking signs everywhere, however due to the thin window, our neighbour was sharing his weed fumes with us, as well as shouting really loudly late at night, he definitely had other people in the room with him and it was quite intimidating as we didn't know what was going on! We couldn't even drown the noise out with the TV because that cut out on us.
I have to caveat this with all of the staff that we encountered were really friendly and it was somewhat centrally located but that is all of the positive comments I have about it. It wasn't even that cheap compared to other places we stayed.
I would never stay here again, it was vile!!!

We booked 3 weeks in advance for a concert and when we arrived not only was the staff not present when the staff arrived that did not appear to be someone working there, very poorly dressed for a hotel despite that fact, whatever, they groaned loudly and told us to read some paper and said "like I told everyone else over there waiting to either call a number and state that they over booked and find a new hotel or come back at 830am for a refund" never once was it clarified what the issue was... when we asked what the issue was they only stated"well i told you to read that paper here" the paper only said you can book one or two nights tuesday through saturday.... I booked 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE?! We drove 4 hours and had to drive home because of this.. super unprofessional and super unorthodox. Don't waist your time or money..

I would give 0 stars if i could. They charged me TWICE for one room and the the AC wasn’t working. The management was absolutely rude. The desk person Sherrell (sp) said they wouldn’t/couldn’t charge my card after I went through a whole thing with her.
Backstory: booked through hotels.com, they told my brother whom i booked room for that it was ‘pay at hotel’ and even though my card was on file they couldn’t charge it. Sherrell suggested i go through booking.com cuz i was not in town and couldn’t just bring my card to the hotel to charge.
So i did, and used PayPal (connected to a different bank) to pay for room. It was successful and then i noticed the booking still came off my card i originally used to booked through hotels.com.
They took twice the money for one booking. They’ve been incredibly unhelpful. Sherrell said she’s talk to manager and I’d get a refund in a few days, when i called him he wouldn’t let me finish explaining before jumping in every few seconds. He kept said ‘they’d TRY to help me’ as if they’re doing me a favor after billing me twice for a dusty, hot, filthy room.’ I will continue to press this issue until I’m refunded, and even after- because it was an incredibly frustrating process that has put me in a temporary financial bind. Girl, you’re better off going to a hostel or shelter. Don’t book here!!!!

This hotel is out dated and dirty. Any amount you pay to stay here is too much.
First got a room someone else was already in. The key cards had to be constantly reset. The towels are dirty and old. Should be replaced. Asked for more towels 4 times finally was given a couple. You get one tiny bar of soap and small shampoo. Had to keep asking for more. Room never cleaned which they did say up front. Wouldn’t leave towels in room if we were gone. Beds are lumpy. The lamp kept flickering every time I moved in the bed. I figured out the outlet was near the mattress so pulled the mattress out a little and “fixed” it. The face plate to the outlet was falling off. Terrible hotel and terrible service. I met a guy on elevator with no Toilet paper and they couldn’t find any more.

The room was filthy and smelled bad. The sheets were stained on both beds. There were sketchy people coming and going. I'm not high maintenance, I don't need something fancy, and I don't mind a little local color, but this place is a hell-hole. At this very moment I am begging Hotwire not to keep sending people here. Please keep looking! All the bad reviews you see are true. The good ones were written by, I assume, the owners.

I booked a room at The Barclay Hotel Atlanta on Booking.com. Unfortunately, the room they gave me did not have working A/C and there were no other rooms available. The manager of the hotel told me to contact Booking.com about the refund and proceeded to lecture me about the pitfalls of 3rd party booking sites. Booking.com claims they are unable to speak with anyone at the hotel to confirm my claim. Because of their failure to communicate I've lost $268. It seems the management of the hotel is unwilling to communicate with Booking.com and Booking.com is unwilling to refund my money.DO NOT STAY AT THE BARCLAYDO NOT USE BOOKING.COM

It’s a couple of blocks from a Metro station that goes directly to the airport, or it’s a 15 minute Uber or cab ride.
Most are medium-priced. There is no fast food nearby.
yes, but we do have a safety deposit box behind the front desk
Hello Kristy,
Unfortunately, we do not have a shuttle, but we are within walking distance to the GA World Congress Center. It is about a 10-15 minute beautiful walk. You get to see the Centennial Olympic Park, SkyView, Phillips Arena, and various historical buildings and monuments. I would recommend taking the walk in both the morning and evening times but you can always Uber it or catch a cab as well.
