Detailed Reviews
The first challenge is to figure out where to unload your luggage and park. The valet entrance is tight & then you have to light your cases upstairs to reception. The handicap accessible entrance requires a buzzer that is not readily answered.
The second challenge is check-in. They are not helpful with reservations made through other sites other than Marriott's.
Third challenge is trying to get extra towels. 24 hrs later they still haven't delivered the twice requested set of towels.
Fourth challenge is breakfast. It opened late. The cheapest, floppy paper plates were the only option. The eggs & sausage were barely warm. The batter for waffles was chunky and didn't cook well. There was no butter anywhere for waffles or the oatmeal. They ran out of mufflins within an hour and had nothing else. They did have a limited supply of Udi blueberry muffins at the start. There was limited sweeteners and creamers available on the coffee bar. They did offer cold brew in addition to hot options.
Only 1 ice machine available in the entire hotel on the 3rd floor.
Controlling the room temperature was tough. The thermostat was not helpful. It was randomly hot and cold.
Checking out and getting luggage back in your vehicle is another challenge due to poor street access.
Kitchenette in room is decently stocked with items. Furnishing in room were appropriate and comfortable. The lighting was poor in bed area. TV is awkwardly placed.

i hate to give a bad review because the people at the front desk were very nice. that said, like others have said, i'm loyal to marriott (maybe to a damn fault). so like someone said, the presence of homeless makes it terrible and yes, it smelled like a urinal that hasn't been flushed for weeks.
speaking of urinals, the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned upon check in. there were piss stains on the floor and the toilet. it disgusted me so much that cleaned it myself with one of those towels. when i left that day for an event (sunday) i asked the guy at the desk if there is housekeeping on sundays and he said "yes." i requested that they go in a give the bathroom a good clean. of course they didn't do it.
pros: close to the stadium and there are places to eat around there. wifi worked. toilet actually flushed
cons: like someone previously said, it's turning into san francisco. stinks, homeless around. i didn't trust those towels in the bathroom, so i bought my own. the bathroom wasn't clean. i'm definitely not staying there again

I planned a getaway with my cousin and chose this hotel for the price and location. It is just a block from the MARTA and there are plenty of places nearby to find a bite, plus Dunkin Donuts is just a 3 min walk. We arrived before Noon and our room was ready. Marcus greeted us at the front desk and was so polite and welcoming. He offered so many suggestions to make our stay pleasant. The room was clean and spacious. We slept comfortably and never had an issue. The only downside was all the loud noises on Friday night (cars driving by while blasting music, and audible roars from people). Breakfast was OK. If you are a vegetarian, your best options are bagels, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, or waffles. As an avid coffee lover, that was a weak point which is why I mentioned Dunkins :) WiFi was strong and stable, and I loved the shower (water was consistently hot and felt great after being out and about all day). There are some homeless nearby, but that is typical of every city. Being from Chicago, it didn't bother me -- just keep you head on a swivel! I would recommend this hotel for families or a girls weekend.

Hotel's Favourite
Yes, a very pleasant stay. Hotel is quite nice (some nice period decor), staff are friendly and helpful (gentleman on reception, who’s name I’ve forgotten was REALLY GOOD).
We had a king room with full fridge freezer, microwave, stove and dishwasher!
Breakfast was very nice with hot and cold selections. It was kept well stocked, and everything tasted lovely.
Nice location, but lots of homeless people (not the hotels fault of course), although my wife and I never felt threatened.
Would definitely stay again (we stayed 5 nights).

My experience for my weekend stay was horrible to say the least.
No towels had to share with my family of 4. I was told over 90 people checked it Friday so towels and linens were in the washer and dryer and never received.
Tub don’t drain—when you take a shower the water didn’t drain while showering and held for at least 15-20 minutes afterwards.
Leftover Diet Coke can on desk—housekeeping clearly didn’t do a thorough cleaning of the room. Diet Coke can was left in clear view on the desk in the bedroom.
Room across smoked marijuana entire weekend. I thought this was a nonsmoking hotel, the guest in the room across from us smoked marijuana the entire time we were there. It smelt horribly though to our room the entire stay. So I know housekeeping or someone of personnel smelt it as well.

Arrived a bit early, I was able to check my bag without any incident. This hotel in centrally located in downtown, I had plenty of options to do while I wait to check in. Check in was painless. Made my way upstairs and my room was extremely nice for the price point and convenience I had. This is Residence Inn, it has a kitchenette and refrigerator. I did not use it, but those who want to know. It is there! Complimentary Breakfast was ok, eggs and bacon, plenty of options down the street if you want something a bit more extravagant. The staff was extremely nice. I recommend this stay.

I recently stayed at this property and was not up to par, despite being part of a well-known brand. To start with, I was surprised to find that the front doors of the hotel were kept locked, making it a bit inconvenient to enter and exit the building. Once inside, I found that the lobby/lounge was very small and not very welcoming.
However, the real issues began once I entered my suite. The locks on the room door were very difficult to open and it took a lot of effort to figure them out. The TV in the sitting room stopped working the first evening and the other TV had a remote that seemed to have a mind of its own. Additionally, the bedroom had poor lighting, with only one lamp and a single phone.
The kitchen pantry was also not in good shape, with dirty plates and a frying pan that had been badly scratched. There was also no notepad, only a single piece of card on the bedside table labeled "ideas."
Despite all these issues, I will say that the mattress, pillows, and sheets were excellent and very comfortable. However, overall, my experience was not good and I didn't feel that the management was able or willing to correct the issues in the room.
When I mentioned some of the problems to the front desk, the response I received was simply "OK." I don't think I'll be staying at this property again.

A historical landmark. An older hotel. Convenient location. 150 yards from the Marta station at the Peachtree Center stop. Marta goes straight to the airport. Cost to ride is $2.50 but you need a one time card $1.00 or a refillable card $2.00.
The room a large with a bedroom, living room and a kitchenette. Great if you like cooking.
Free breakfast and a business and fitness center. Elevators require your room card to access hotel floors and lobby area. Secured location. Restaurants around the area including a Waffle House. Great location for families.
Walking distance to Olympic Park, CNN, Coca Cola, Atlanta Aquarium, College Football Hale of Fame, State Farm Arena (Atlanta Hawks), Mercedes Stadium (Atlanta Falcons), and the Ferris Wheel,

I'm trying to catch up on my reviews...
I stayed here at this Residence Inn for two nights to catch a baseball game. I really liked the hotel. My room was quiet and the bed was just the right firmness. Everything was clean when I checked. No dust! The common areas were all brightly lit. My basic room was very comfortable.
The staff at the front desk were nice and friendly. No complaints there. I didn't use the amenities except for the little convenience store in the lobby. The breakfast was okay. It wasn't anything special.
The only thing that was concerning to me is that the hotel is a couple blocks away from an apparent sketchy area. I didn't go there, but just looking at Google Street View made me want to stay away at night. My feeling was reinforced when returning in the evening, I had to be buzzed to enter. Otherwise, the hotel is very convenient to the Peachtree Center subway station and the airport.

4 for cleanliness and 2 for other/customer service. I have stayed here 2x/ year for business for the last 3 years. Always a weeklong stay. It is close to where I need to be and prices are reasonable. The management needs to up their game. I requested NO service during my stay upon check in- they asked. On day 3 I was surprised to see my bed made when I returned at 8 pm that night. They Also took all of the towels and left me with none except for one I had on the chair. I immediately called down to request towels, which they said would be delivered - nope. I then got into bed and noticed my hot pink charging cable was missing. This is ALWAYS my bedside charger when I stay in hotels and I leave it in the hotel all week in the same place. I told the front desk 2x, and no apology or concern. At 8am The morning after my room was left with no hotels I requested them be delivered they day as long as it was not the same housekeeping staff member who took them all Along my charger. Returned 12 hours later/ NO towels.
Every time I stay here something happens. In January, my door was left wide open after being serviced. Management did no care. Still do not.
