It is very clear that this property can not handle the amount of rooms upper management has cleared to be booked. The first impression is the dirt and rolling hairballs all over the lobby and every single hallway. Yes I walked a great many of hallways and was shocked that the 47th floor was just as dirty as the 20, 15, 8, and lobby. The pool is a disappointment, hotel advertise that is it open till 11, nope closes at 8. Had a fun time explaining to my autistic son who had a bathing suit on that the pool was closed. Loved pulling back my shower curtain and seeing other people's hair, looked around the bathroom and noticed quite a bit of public hair. I would bring your own towel as they are having a towel shortage. Also dont count on your safe working. No one is available to come and locked it. I think the highlight was walking into an elevator and stepping in vomit. I was very disappointed in this hotel. I think management needs to consider the Marriott reputation and block off whole floors from being booked until they are able to hire more people.

Hotel's Favourite
I usually stay at Marriott hotels in the Buckhead area but I was feeling adventurous and wanted to check into the Marriott Marquis due to the fact that it is a tall hotel and I always have wanted to have a room with views of Downtown Atlanta so I made a reservation. I sent a message through the mobile app requesting a suite and I was given one right away by the friendly staff and then when I checked in on my phone and requested a mobile key to be sent to my phone so I could bypass the desk especially during COVID-19, and the mobile key was sent to my phone right away and it worked great to access my suite on 38 with amazing views of Downtown Atlanta. I requested a thick blanket and extra towels through the app as well and the friendly staff brought them to my door in minutes. The staff at this property are very friendly and considerate of the guests as the next morning several elevators were down and the staff directed guests to use the service elevators to allow better flow throughout the hotel. Staff also takes great precautions to ensure safety during COVID-19 with mask use, hand sanitising stations and staff cleaning around the hotels at all times. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to have amazing views of Atlanta and be treated like a valued guest. I truly believe this hotel values all guests and they showed that my titanium status means something to them!

This hotel is nice but not worth the money. First, there are no channels to watch, getting your car is a cluster f**k dropping car off is even worst. There was a ticking noise coming from the sockets, Iron didn't work and carpet was heavily soaked with something. Oh and valet customer service suck

It’s clear upon check-in that this property isn’t prepared for visitors. Understaffed front desk and our first two rooms didn’t work out…one was filthy and the other was occupied - not what our 4 year old needed to see. The third room has carpet stains and is very tired. Empty conditioner bottle. Either trying to cut costs or just don’t care.

The lobby is a thing of wonder but that's where the wow factor stops. Rooms are serviced upon request or every three days. That's fine but there was no shower gel, half a box of tissues and one roll of toilet paper. There is coffee service in the room, but only enough for one day. I found myself waiting on a long line at the front desk at midnight to stock up on essentials. The restaurant, Sears, was closed for dinner, so we ate at High Velocity and both ordered Cheeseburgers thinking it was the safest thing on the menu. We were wrong. I don't know what that meat was but it was unrecognizable. We ordered the wine we had at the lobby lounge and the restaurant told us that we would have to go to the bar to get it ourselves. My last night I ordered from Room Service at 8PM and was told it would be there in 25 minutes. It showed up a few minutes to 10PM. The air quality in the hotel was dreadful. My team mate's room wreaked of cigarette smoke and another guest we met said their room smelled like an old cigar. I've stayed at the Marriot Marquis in NYC and was thrilled with it. Marriot is a great brand and the Marquis is their top jewel. The Atlanta Marriot Marquis tarnishes this brands image.
