Probably would get 1 star, but I have to give them something due to the labor issues most hotels are having. Was here for 4 nights, here are just a few of the issues: Half of the elevators don’t work, escalators are on and off. At any given time, you could be walking up steps with luggage. They have very limited housekeeping, which is fine. I actually put the privacy sign on the door because I’d rather not have someone come in the room. They actually entered the room anyway while we were out to take out the trash - totally out of line. I had not put away any valuables because I didn’t think I needed to. The sink and shower could barely drain. No room service or take out food available to eat in your room. I guess that is a product of COVID, but I haven’t experienced it in other places. Bottom line is getting food was tough, not entirely the hotel’s fault, but they don’t offer much to help their guests. Overall, the hotel is kind of run down and not very clean at all. It felt like we were in a rarely used, neglected part of the hotel. Positives - the mini fridge in the room was solid and gave us some improvised food options. The staff was also pretty friendly, just nothing they could do about anything. Valet parking was busy, but pretty quick. I’m trying to think of anything positive I can. I definitely know where I won’t be staying if I come back to Atlanta.…
Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta is a cool hotel in the middle of everything that has everything that you need and more. I like that it is walking distance from many attractions in the area and has a lot of features inside. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating and makes sure that you have everything that you need for the best stay. I really like the design and atmosphere of this hotel.
We were in Atlanta for Game 6 of the Hawks vs 76ers to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The downtown was already busy with Juneteenth Celebrations - add the Playoffs, the location of the Omni (not to mention the worker shortage that so many businesses are dealing with) and you can imagine the pressure on this staff. We made a mistake in booking the room - and were in a desperate spot. The Manager (named Christian) was unflappable in the crush of people and even helped us get into a room. But there's more... the next day - there was a flood of people checking out in the morning - the backlog in the valet area was smoothed out when Christian left the front desk area and took over. I don't know this guy... but was supremely impressed with his leadership.
Very poor service in this huge hotel. Couldn´t find anything to eat at 10,00pm. None of the restaurants were open and room service never answered.I only stayed for one night due to a flight cancelation, being Memorial Day weekend, getting accommodatios was almost impossible.
Located in the downtown area of Atlanta, this hotel is in a great location. It’s within walking distance from State Farm Arena @ Atlanta’s Skyview. There is a sports bar located in the hotel. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Valet parking is $45 and will be charged to your room. There’s a refundable $100 incidental fee charge at check-in. The customer service is good. The team is very welcoming.
