Powered by AI
Nestled in a prime spot close to downtown Atlanta attractions, the Inn at the Peachtrees, Ascend Hotel Collection, is celebrated by many for its charming atmosphere and cleanliness. However, some guests feel that the hotel's decor and furnishings could use a refresh. While the amenities provide variety and convenience, opinions on the breakfast and facility upkeep vary.
Budget-conscious travelers commend the hotel's value, and the staff often receive praise for their friendliness, though service can be inconsistent. Room cleanliness is generally appreciated, but the need for updates and repairs is noted, along with some concerns about nighttime safety in the area.

Detailed Reviews
This is an older hotel and the room I stayed in showed it. BUT, I give it an A+ for location, helpful employees, and a good price. The on-site parking is safe and relatively inexpensive for the area. It is a short walk to Centennial Olympic Park, where there are many attractions. The breakfast is a step above the usual -- yes, the offerings are typical continental fare, but the breakfast area was kept spotless and the food was fresh. Although you access the rooms from inside the hotel, the rooms do open to the outside (either on the street or the courtyard.) We did not have a noise issue where we were, but I could see how you might. The courtyard in the center is quite nice, although it was too chilly on our visit to sit there. If you're fussy, you won't like the small rooms with old furniture, but for the price, convenience and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, I'd stay here again.

I'd recommend this as a budget hotel to travellers, I felt the location was good for heading out to places like the coca cola musuem and the civil rights musuem but did feel a little uncomfortable at night walking around alone.
The rooms were of decent size and the beds were comfortable however I'm unsure the sheets were enough for a visit in winter? Did have to ask for extra blankets. Did really like the toiletries in the room though, the smell was great.
Breakfast was good and had choices along with hot and cold drinks.

The staff was very pleasant and the lobby was beautiful but upon taking the elevator to my room I did not realize it was outside so my room was cold and it was very noisy hence the ear plugs that the leave in the room. My room was ok but the dust was unbearable, the telephone looked like it had not been dusted in months. If you decide to stay at this location just be mindful that homeless men are sleeping right outside the door and down the road where the overflow parking is.

While we're happy to learn that our hospitable staff and charming lobby were the positive aspects of your stay, we regret that other areas were less than perfect for you. Rest assured, we will discuss the oversight in cleanliness with our housekeeping team so they can perform better. Please know that although there are entrances to the rooms from the outside, not just anyone can get to the rooms unless they come through the front door or have key access. Our team is excited to provide an even better experience when your travels bring you back our way. Hotel Management

Booked 2 rooms.
Staff was excellent. (housekeeping notwithstanding because they will not come unless you specifically ask).
Location is not as good as they make it out to be. Neighbourhood is a bit sketchy.
Rooms are dirty and need updates. Shower is small. Toilet seat was loose.
Phones in both rooms had the hand set disconnected and the phone disconnected from the wall plug. Was going to plug it in but the jack was so scuzzy I did not want to touch it. Had to go to the front desk to tell them because I could not call for to tell them there was no coffee or cups in the room. The front desk said that it happens because kids unplug them??? Well, then the staff should plug them back in.
Also, the electrical outlet was way overloaded.
The "convenience store" had a few bags of chips and a few bottles pf soda.
The door had gaps in it so large you could see outside and it made the room cold.
Free breakfast was actually quite good and the staff there were fantastic.
Bottom line, the hotel photos on their website are not what the hotel actually is. We booked from the Ascend Hotel Collection Group website and were very disappointed.

If you are looking for a hotel in a great location with very basic amenities then this is your hotel. Breakfast was the bright spot. Decent options for food and coffee. Rooms are cramped and bathrooms are even more cramped and aged. Definitely in need of an overhaul. Parking in their garage is $15/night so expect that added cost. Staff are friendly. For the price I was hoping for a little better quality but again this is an average hotel.

There’s so many things wrong with this hotel. First no one came to clean or leave fresh towels. When we asked for towels they said it was too late in the day to give them out even though they never brought new ones to begin with. The vending machines didn’t work on our floor when we brought it up to the front desk they just said to try another floor. Didn’t even offer us a refund. It also took over an hour to check in. We got doubled charged when leaving. When we asked for a receipt of the voided charge the woman at the desk said she didn’t know how to do that. This will be the only and last time I stay at this hotel.

While an apology will regrettably not alter the outcome of your experience on this occasion, we do extend it with all sincerity. We assure you that every bit of your concerns will be investigated diligently. This is not the kind of hospitality standard we have set for ourselves, and going ahead, we will do all necessary course corrections at the earliest to ensure no other guest ever experiences the same. I tried to figure out how to create a review for this place. Based on the pictures, I would say they are either 30 years old or SERIOUSLY photoshopped.
Not sure what was the worst part: (1) The smell of Marijuana throughout the property (even into the rooms from the A/C) (2) The inappropriately dressed ladies around the outside of the property and even in to the lobby (as a dad of a daughter I would NOT want my daughters (or son!) to see women dressed like that. (3) The SLOW and relatively unknowledgeable staff (4) As mentioned the photo's do NOT represent the current status of the property (5) Feeling very unsafe in and around the immediate property.
The place is surrounded by successful hotels and in the heart of the city. Why was this this only one that seems to have so many issues.
I have read a few rebuttals from management and they dismiss all the flaws and accent the good things. There is potential, but when management seems good supporting the inappropriate activities of a few, the people who do NOT partake in the inappropriate activities feel very unsafe and unwelcome.
If the guest feels unsafe, unwelcome and unappreciated, ANY successes are eliminated.
I truly believe with some clean up and enforcing some common sense procedures this could be cleaned up to a very respectable hotel. With our experience we will never go back to find out if they do.
BTW I could go on and on about the issues, but talking with about 6 groups in the lobby, I KNOW my experiences were not one of a kind and none of the other groups will ever return either.

This place looks NOTHING like the posted picture. Very rundown and not clean. Check-in at 3PM yet we arrived at 8PM and when we opened our room it was not cleaned after last guest. The lady at the front desk was busy with many guests waiting but she told us someone would go to clean it. As I was calling to complain through Choice, she came back and offered us another room. Although the bed were made in this room, the towels were stained. We were told we could do nothing about our reservation til the morning when the manager would return. In the morning the manager politely apologized and refunded the rest of the nights.

Dear Guest, We are gutted to learn that you did not have a positive experience! This is an uncommon instance as the vast majority of our guests trust us with their stay and enjoy their experience with us to the fullest. It is evident that something wasn’t right in the way you had been treated, and as your review goes, we’re extremely alarmed to hear that you felt cleanliness wasn’t up to par. Our attention to detail is usually exceptional but we apologize profusely for missing the mark this time! We treat cleanliness as one of our highest priorities, especially amid such a global outbreak where guests are all the more concerned about their overall well-being and safety. Upkeep and cleanliness are very important to us, and we want our guests to have a top-notch stay with us. Once again, we apologize profusely for dropping the ball this time. But consider our first as last by allowing us another opportunity to host you flawlessly in the future. With this, we hope to see you again at the soonest time! Sincerely, Management Team

We walked from this hotel to the stadium for NFL games but it is sketchy. I’d feel safer if there are groups of you together and not just alone. Daytime is safer as everyone mentioned.
If I’m correct the Parking was $15 per Night? But it’s worth it because the other parking garages are the same if not more, and doesn’t offer “24” hour security! They have and offer “24” hour security for your vehicle it gives you a peace of mind.

Yes, I think in a group of responsible young girls they would be safe. The Inn as I stated in my review is sketchy especially by the Carnegie Monument in the triangular Park . I don’t recommend the girls separate from the group on their own. Once in the downtown there are plenty police and security. It’s just that one block from the Inn to the liquor store that I found rather dangerous. I say this as a native New Yorker who has lived all over Manhattan island... and been robbed and mugged in my youth... My comments are not meant to diminish from anyone else’s comments.
There is open parking across the street. We parked in front of the hotel's parking garage entrance. Easy if you booked parking at the hotel. Hotel is near nice restaurant.
