The Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown is frequently lauded for its spotless rooms and common areas, with many guests commending the well-kept bathrooms and tranquil atmosphere. A plethora of amenities, including a fitness center and a pool with a scenic view, cater to guests' needs, while the digital check-in adds a touch of modern convenience.
While the hotel's location is a hit for easy access to downtown attractions, some guests mention the parking fees as a drawback. Despite isolated service complaints and an occasional remark on the cost of parking, reviews often highlight the friendly service staff and the overall value of their stay.

Located downtown on edge of Centennial Park and arenas. Easy walk. The indoor and outdoor pool with deck was very nice. Self parking was a little confusing to find, but it’s located to rear of building. Several dining options from quick service to fine dining.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Atlanta in order to visit the Georgia Aquarium and Coca Cola World. The location is absolutely perfect, just a couple minutes' walk to both attractions.
We found the hotel to be very clean, and the size of our room was good. The beds were comfortable, and the linens and pillows were good quality. The room had a very large bathtub, which was an unusual find in many hotels and a pleasant surprise. It also had the standard mini fridge and microwave; always helpful when traveling.
The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, at check in and when requesting items from guest services. Due to Covid, they are only doing cleaning when requested, but you can call guest services any time you need a refill of room items, which was fine.
Our only complaint with our stay is that when booking this property, one reason we chose it is that it said roll away beds were available. Traveling with my adult son and daughter, they do not want to share beds with their sibling or Mom, so this was important. We even called Hilton a few days before arriving to confirm that they had received our request for a roll away.
When we got to our room, we were so pleased to see that there was a nice big empty space where the rollaway would fit, but when we called the front desk about the bed, they told us that they could not issue roll away to rooms with two beds "because of fire code."
Thankfully, we'd had the foresight to put an air mattress in the trunk of the car, so we used that, but it's so frustrating because no one wants to spend their vacation sleeping on an air mattress.
One other item they could do better is that the coffee in the lobby in the morning was a nice touch, but both dispensers were "regular;" there was no decaf, and the coffee was VERY strong. We actually ended up walking a couple minutes up the street to the Starbucks (it's in the lobby of the Embassy Suites.) We did not try the breakfast offered, as we hated to pay $13+ per person for hotel breakfast.
Oh, and a weird thing we encountered is that the thermostat in the room could not be turned down below 65. It was a little warm in the room for sleeping.
This hotel has both an indoor and an outdoor pool, plus a hot tub in the outdoor area. It was one of the few we saw downtown offering an indoor pool, so that's likely a plus for anyone travelling with kids and needing to tire them out with a swim before bed.
The on-site restaurant, Dos Bocas, was very good when we had dinner there one night.

Hotel is easy to find with parking garage on site. Walking distance to the Georgia World Congress Center and Georgia Aquarium. The lobby was nice and desk staff polite and capable. There is a small "store" area with drinks/snacks available for a charge. Elevators were quick and we rarely had to wait. Our room was on the 13th floor, the Penthouse level. We had a double queen room and immediately upon entering, we noticed how dark it was. Just not a lot of natural light. Dark curtains that were sort of in disrepair didn't help that. Giant AC unit under the window that takes up a good bit of the footprint and has a "do not sit or stand" notice on it. The bathroom has no fan, so everything in the room seemed damp for the duration of our stay. This is something that really bothers me. Also, the bathroom stunk of cigarette smoke the whole time too...we do not smoke. I alerted management to this via the Hilton app and also at the front desk. They said they would send someone to check it out, but never did. The tub had rust marks by the drain. Carpet didn't seem super clean. Lots of restaurants around but don't try to eat dinner at any of them on the weekends...we tried them all and were told hours wait at each one. Ended up at Subway to avoid starving. It wasn't a bad stay just expected more for what we paid. I would only book this hotel again if I needed to be within walking distance to the GWCC for some reason.

This was a one night stay. First issue was the room was not ready when we arrived after 4PM. Waited additional 20 minutes and nothing. Had to leave and come back. No refreshment or snack in the room which was to be included with the junior suite. That was never delivered. Sheets and pillow cases dirty. We had 2 adults and 3 kids in the room and got 2 large towels, 2 wash rags and 3 face towels total. We reported the issue but nothing resolved. A guy did come to the room about an 1 hour after the report to apologize and advised that bedding was being washed and would be about another 30 minutes. Sheets, towels, rags never came.
My daughter ended up using her shirt as a wash rag, the other used a face towel to dry off and I shared a wash rag with my wife and 8 year old daughter. It seems the hotel was grossly understaffed. The bartender had to constantly be running to the neighboring hotel to help, so too was the front desk girl. I felt bad for them. They ended up dealing with a lot of very upset guests through no fault of there own. I won't even get into the parking situation at this place. I will never stay at this hotel again in life.

Stayed here for over a month during the Pandemic and it was nothing but wonderful all the way around. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable or needed any assistance. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities I needed like a keurig coffee maker and nice size refrigerator. The bed was a bit on the soft side for me but that is just a matter of personal opinion. The property was kept clean and sanitized and the staff did an excellent job following state mandated guidelines for distancing and masks. The hotel is within excellent walking distance to anything one could possibly need and plenty of opportunity for exercise in and around the Centennial Park. Kudos for a job well done, would definitely stay here when I am back in the Atlanta area.

Clean hotel. Hotel staff very accommodating. walking distance to restaurants and entertainment! Convenient parking Garage adjacent to the hotel. The garage was able to accommodate a high-rise truck. Parking was expensive, but this is Atlanta. Two swimming pools and a hot tub that were all very clean. Housekeeping did a great job, especially during the pandemic Will stay at this property again..

We throughly enjoyed our stay; our host Dormecia at the Reception Desk were awesome. Dormecia was very professional and pleasant. Set us up with a room on the top floor with a wonderful view of the city. Room was clean with plenty of towels, coffee and other amenities. Dormecia explained and recommended parking options, the breakfast options and other tourist type information to help us navigate in the city. The hotel location is awesome - easily within walking distance to major attractions, restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, and the Park. One can literally park your car and spend the entire time walking to and from all the major sights. If you go to the various travel web sites and with Hilton Honors or the hotel site - very easy to come up with an affordable rate. We booked through Hilton Honors and the price was easily $75 less than the surrounding hotels. For a wonderful stay, great rate and location, cleanliness and the hospitality of the Hilton Team - highly recommend a stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Atlanta.

My family had a great stay during the pandemic. While most places give out off brand antibacterial wipes they had actual Lysol wipes available to take. The 2 pools and hot tub were open. They are in the center of everything, so many tourist attractions are in walking distance. Definitely staying with them again and looking to stay with them in other cities.

Of course as with every single Hilton, especially Garden Inn, our stay was extremely comfortable and we had zero problems. This is why I spend the money with Hilton because I know they’ll never fail my family and I. I told them about my son’s 16th birthday during our stay and they were thoughtful and left him a personal card with a handwritten message, lots of candy, and a balloon. I love how thoughtful the staff was. It made him feel special. As usual, our room was spotless, linen fresh and clean, smelled very fresh. We were comfortable, like always. Thank you Hilton. You did it again!!

+1
Stayed two nights at this property on a business trip. The location is handy to the convention center and tourist venues. It is also a short drive in from Hartsfield. The room was of average size and although it showed its age was generally clean. Stayed on a higher floor and was not bothered by traffic on the street below. Window AC unit was quite loud though. Services were limited though. Despite the end of the pandemic, this hotel still limits housekeeping. There is no reason to do so especially when considering the room rate. This was also the first time I have ever seen bulk shampoo and soap dispensers at a Hilton Garden Inn. The large, communal pump soap and shampoo is something you generally only see in the cheaper Hilton properties like Tru and Home2. Again, I would expect better given the price. The tourist venues draw homeless people to the area. Since the summer travel season is over, the homeless had fewer people to beg from and were drawn to those of us in the area. All in all, a good enough stay but not the caliber I expect for the brand

Yes, the hotel elevators in this hotel require a key card.
Parking is NOT included. It is charged to you separately when you check out. I think it was around $30 per day. Most of the hotels we considered downtown charged for daily parking. I guess that's common in Atlanta.
