The Hilton Atlanta garners mixed reactions, with guests commending the comfortable beds and cleanliness of the rooms, while some critique the size and dated decor. Its array of dining options and recreational amenities are popular, despite occasional service hiccups. While the hotel's 70's ambiance is noted, renovations are adding a modern touch.
Its prime location is often praised for easy access to downtown, although opinions on value are divided due to costly parking and breakfast. Service quality varies, but cleanliness standards receive positive mentions, contributing to the overall guest experience.

Hilton Atlanta is situated on Courtland Street in the Downtown area of the city.
I took a taxi from the airport which took around 20 minutes and cost about $50.
On the way back I took a short walk to Peachtree Center and took the MARTA to the airport which was a 30 minute trip.
My room was quite spacious with tea & coffee making facilities, bottled water and a fridge.
The bottled water was handy as due to my arrival after 23.00, there was nowhere on site to purchase any drinks or snacks (apart from at the bar).
The fittings in the room were quite dated, and although the bathroom had a tub, it was not possible to have a bath as the plug would not retract nor was there any cold water.
Breakfast in Southern Elements was decent albeit expensive at over $35 per person including compulsory service charge.
I also enjoyed some cold draught beer there throughout my stay.
Marketplace had a range of snacks and drinks for purchase although I found the range of sandwich flavours to be lacking - no cheese, for example.
I originally booked for three nights but ended up staying for four as my flight was cancelled. Luckily I was able to rebook my original room.
I ended up paying an average of around $190 per night including the numerous taxes that get added on. Expensive but about par for the USA.
The staff I dealt with throughout my staff were all helpful and professional.

Things I liked on my short visit. I like how this hotel had multiple dining options for guest convenience, about 3 diff restaurants and the marketplace= which had everything you need from snacks/(hot) food, toiletries, souvenirs and more.- Every hotel should have a marketplace like this. I like the outside track and sports area, I notice there was plenty of seating areas throughout the hotel for guest who who were waiting, wanted to relax or taking care of business.
I like the room I was given, it was not a far walk from the elevators and had a great view. The only thing is that it was not as cleaned. The mini fridge has some stains inside, the vents were rusty and the bed sheets had something on them. It was also kind of noisy as I could constantly hear the door of the person next to me slamming hard and traffic outside. The gym was nice and plenty of machines to workout also included towels, water bottles, earbuds and bathrooms inside the gym. Although one of my questions was not answered at first, a cool option was that guest could text the front desk with any questions or needs. Probably had more pros than cons so I think I would stay here again.

I booked that room to do some touristy stuff downtown like Coca-Cola aquarium and just hang out. Hotel is very large so there's no swimming pool and the only food you can get is from the hotel's restaurant downstairs that's $20 or more for every item and it's $27 for the breakfast buffet. They do have a little convenience store in there with food and little items if you need it for your stay that's cheaper and a mini Starbucks. The rooms are okay just make sure when you pick your room but if you get double beds they are actually full size beds so you can't fit two adults on them I picked a room off of my Hilton app and use the digital key so I didn't have to use the front desk. My room was clean and pretty updated on the 22nd floor. The only issues I had was it is so noisy outside it must be next to a main street that they use for drag racing because every night there were cars burning tires and screeching by all night long I could barely sleep. And don't walk around at night it's very shady there there's lots of homeless people bugging you for money and any restaurants you go to are kind of junkie right now.

Excellent full service Hilton property, the staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful during check in and the bell staff was always available to assist with any luggage needs, additionally I was upgraded to a skyline room, even though this is one of the older properties in the classic Hilton layout from the mid 70s, the room was thoroughly remodeled and incredibly well kept. The view from the room was beautiful. I always love when properties have an Anystream shower head and this property has them. Additionally a well stocked coffee bar in the room as well as a well working fridge. The finishes in the room are all upscale and of high quality, granite countertops and high thread count sheets. My absolute highlight at this property was the Trader Vic’s restaurant and bar located in their below ground level, it is one of the last remaining Trader Vic’s in the US and it is stunning, the decor is fabulous, the food I ate was nothing short of excellent and the drinks prepared by the knowledgeable bar tender (I believe he is from Serbia) were world-class Tiki drinks. Honestly, I can’t wait to be back at this property, kudos to the GM for managing such a large property so professionally.

We recently stayed here for a week’s vacation and had a great experience. Everyone we encountered was absolutely wonderful and friendly. We chose to do the valet parking to ensure the rental car would have a parking spot and be well taken care of. .We asked how long to allow when we needed to go out for it to be brought to us and was told can take about 10 minutes and they were spot on. Our room was on a top floor and never waited long for an elevator. Most of the time there were 8 available except when the fancy restaurant was open for dinner then one was used as an express. We had breakfast in the Southern Elements restaurant almost every day. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only they had the buffet along with an a la carte menu but on weekdays just had the menu. I did the buffet when they had it and other days ordered either the pancakes with chocolate chips or the French toast and they were great. I have family members with food allergies and there is no make your own omelet station as part of the buffet so they had to order from the menu and they were great accommodating them. We had one lunch and one dinner there it is the same menu and enjoyed our meals. We were told at checkin that housekeeping comes on the 4th day. A few days after we arrived had a spill and could not get the stain out so needed the sheets changed and stopped by the front desk on our way to breakfast with that request. We were out all day and came back to find not only did they do that but cleaned and gave us new towels. Because of that our housekeeping schedule changed. We came back after a day out to discover the day we thought that someone was coming was not that day and needed more soap and toilet paper. We went down to the front desk and were given those items and a little bit later someone knocked on our door to make sure we had everything we needed. There is no gift shop but we did not mind we got plenty of souvenirs visiting attractions. It was not a bad walk to the attractions around Centennial Park - Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca Cola, Skyview, and College Football Hall of Fame. If ever in this area again would definitely come back to Hilton Atlanta.

Just really disappointed with Hilton. Booked this as I needed to be in the area, and trust the brand. Feels like all benefit for Hilton Honor customers have been removed. The lifts seem to be playing up constantly, not fun when you are on the 11th floor. No room service, due to Covid (?) There is nowhere to sit outside, given their desire to remove so many services due to covid, surely a safe outdoor space would be logical. The outdoor area is gross and lots like a staff smoking hangout. The outdoor running track has a rail hanging off the wall and on the steps. I think this hotel is piling the corporate customer in high, upselling everything and leaving everyone else disappointed. Actually looking to move hotels, which I've never done before. But $2.2K for a weeks room doesn't feel fair value here. Happy to pay the price, but for a fair exchange.

Small congested drive to drop off for valet. Regular guests check-in line serviced before & twice as fast at least, as the Hilton Rewards guests. Rude front desk staff. Couldn't hear soft spoken & rude front desk staff. Check-in ahead of time on app to expedite and you still have to wait in line, check in the old school long way & pay. App said $333 ish for 1 night then we check-in it's over $500, hilarious. Outrageous rates. Treated by front desk like they're doing us a favor. All bell men are excellent, valet service is excellent. Bed was comfortable, housekeeping lady I encountered very kind. Front desk rude. Restaurant awful service. Guests at bar get served well but those seated are neglected. Waited long time to get a hostess to get seated. No thank you or word on server to help us from hostess. Waitress came after a LONG wait as well and she gave us water & i ordered a glass of wine but wine never arrived and to add injury to insult the same waitress walked across the room in front of me, looked over & no wine. Husband & I just left, grabbed that waitress & told her we were leaving, did we need to take care of a check..she said "oh yah, no I didn't even create a check cuz I didn't bring you your juice". No apologies for bad restaurant service. No thank you's for waiting in front desk line. We left with our other 4 business guests and we had an amazing dinner at Cuts Steakhouse. No complimentary coffee at the hotel besides the pouches in the rooms, it's insulting. $500 plus a night and you get awful service & no coffee. I thought the Hilton's expect great service but don't instill it in their hotels. Also, I stepped out of my room to find a housekeeper to get more coffee bags & the housekeeping head woman so rude (tall, white skin, curly hair) says she is out of regular, did I ask the maid service. It was this lady's job to find me some. She disappears into a room & i found a housekeeper who gave me coffee. Crazy stuff. We won't be back to a Hilton if we can help it. We've just had enough all around, hiltons in our experience have less than average service. We also will not recommend Hiltons to our business partners or clients to any longer hold meetings or conventions there.

Always know what you get with Hilton. I mainly picked the hotel because it was a little cheaper and I know they usually have comfortable beds. Stayed on the 22nd floor
Only downside is they don’t let you check in early. 4pm is check in time and I arrived around 10 am. They will let you go in early for an extra $25. But I don’t do it. I was able to check in online with the Hilton App and they give you a digital key.
Didn’t use any amenities - except the coffee in the room - or restaurants there. Peachtree Marta station is 2 blocks west (about 7 min walk uphill) so convenient to get around the city.
Short walk to the attractions in downtown.
Like a 20 min walk to Midtown area/Piedmont Park. Will stay again.

Do not park car in the open lot next to the hotel! Our car was broken into! Shout out to the Bellman Edward Allen and George who took almost an hour of their time to help us with the clean up of a shattered window. Edward immediately sprung into action with a vacuum and broom and George got materials to make a temporary barrier on the window. They both took their time to make us feel better and fix the problem before leaving for a 6 hour drive. Although it was an unfortunate event during our stay, we are very grateful for the help of these Hilton employees. They were kind and helpful and expected nothing in return.

The hotel doesn't provide airport transportation, however, it's easy to get to the airport from the Peachtree Center Marta Station that connects to the Marriott (which connects to the Hilton via skybridge). It's around $2.50 for the fare and takes about 40 minutes. If you prefer to use a private car, you can book an Uber or Lyft to pick you up at the dedicated spot in the hotel's roundabout. The trip takes between 20-40 minutes to the airport, depending upon the time of day and traffic. I hope that helps!
