I don't think you can rent bikes at the hotel as they never mentioned they have bikes to rent or seen any around. Not sure where there is in the other nearby vicinity.

You can walk on the sandy beaches but there are some stones as well (and sometimes glass) ! We bought those little plastic slippers to go into the sea because there are urchins and rocks. Best to be on the safe side.
