1 week before my arrival they fraudulently alleged "my card was rejected", leaving me without accommodation too close to my flight (and other things I had already paid for on my trip). This is totally FALSE as I checked with both banks of the 2 credit cards I have provided. They may have booked them to other non-Booking.com guests and made a better profit. Already reported this to Booking.com in order to kick them out of the platform for malicious and disloyal treatment. I have also read (after my terrible experience) that I'm not the first one being affected by these actions. BETTER THINK TWICE BEFORE TRUSTING YOUR VACATIONS BOOKING THIS HOTEL

The best thing about this hotel is the spectacular views of the sea, the beach and the amazing sunsets. Otherwise, it doesn't offer a great holiday experience because you can't wander to any local bars/restaurants, the rooms are very basic and in need of refurbishment, terrible bed/bedding, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, no nearby shop to buy water/drinks/snacks, only one restaurant which is pretty dreadful (food is really poor) although there is a pizza restaurant if you like pizza. but nowhere to have a lunchtime snack without paying 20 euros per person to go to the same dreadful restaurant We didn't go all inclusive as we had read the bad reviews which said it wasn't worth it .We did several trips during our 7 night stay which were great - so I would only recommend you stay here if you hire a car to explore some of the island and eat out -only use the hotel as a base to enjoy the amazing views. You definitely get fed up paying for all the extras for Wifi, towels etc which feels like you are constantly being ripped off. Overall, I would say that it felt like a 3 star budget hotel set in spectacular surroundings.

This is a nice resort with nice views and private beach but not if you don't have a car or you are not prepared to eat last night dinner for next's day lunch, again and again. Restaurant is more like a diner with coffee and tea from a machine and tinned fruit for breakfast. You need to pay for decent wine as whats on tap is undrinkable. The 2km road to Castlesardo is unwalkable ( no footpaths and very narrow) and the shuttle bus times from the resort are very restrictive. Expect to pay 40 euro for a return taxi trip. Also, book a reputable taxi to the airport. A local man took us back to the airport at an inflated price driving at 140 miles an hour whilst overtaking and on his phone!!!

This is the second time we have stayed at castelsardo and we once again loved it. The only problem is the added fees when you arrive. Without these it would get five stars! We stayed half board with was perfect. We kept drinks in our room but bought some from the bar which were reasonable. The food we found delicious! Something different every night and yes there were similar plates such as Italian ham and cheeses but the carvery changed every night as did the main dishes. We went to the pizzeria one night but due to end of season it was closed most nights. We found the staff extremely friendly. There was one grumpy one behind reception but then you get them everywhere lol The rooms were cleaned thoroughly everyday by lovely cleaning ladies. No one speaks much English so we had a go at Italian and got by. Ping pong was great for our son. We never paid extra for it. The bat and ball was just there so we helped ourselves. Pool was cold but it is October. Overall another great stay. If you want to see Sardinia you will need a car as it’s quite remote. Hopefully they will stop charging for the extra fees and gain some more stars ⭐️

My wife and I enjoyed a pleasant stay. We were aware of the additional charges and accommodated for these when making our selection. Gluten Free food My wife is gluten free and vegetarian. There has been gluten free bread, biscuits and pasta avaliable. Along with a large choice of salad and fruit each mean. Unfortunately the Pizzeria was unable to provide a gluten free pizza when requested. Regular food Plenty of choices, lots of sea food options and the main warm meal option changed every night. As someone who enjoys his food, I've been very happy with the options available. Drinks Wine and beer on tap have been enjoyable. Also the fruit juices, soft drinks and coffee machine have all been very pleasant. Entertainment We haven't really been around to experience it, but have heard the karaoke and some of the music. Seemed ok, we just didn't participate. Rooms We mentioned when booking that we were on honeymoon and hoped there may have been a little something (prosecco / wine) to greet us on arrival to our room. Sadly not. Overall the rooms are very clean, the bed is large and comfy. The fridge in the room took a while to chill as it was empty, but now after a few days amd stocked it is working well. Aircon, works well. Bathroom, tidy and clean with a hairdryer. Does the job. Staff All the staff have been very helpful and friendly. It is a pleasure to see them each day. Steps/ chairs Yes there are a lot of them, but worth it for the views. Parking We read in advance about the charge for parking. Luckily during our stay we have always been able to easily find a space on the street just outside the hotel grounds. Pool Sea water filled pool, kept immaculately clean. Very nice. Drinking water The room taps say not to drink the water. And in the restaurant there is a sign that requests guests not to fill up water bottles. However we quickly noticed this sign was being ignored so joined others in refilling our bottles too.

We had a nice holiday but had huge disappointment with this hotel. View from hotel is stunning, pool is beautiful, entertainment team good - especially if you bring children. Our disappointment is we paid for AI, when we arrived were asked to pay a city tax (ok), entertainment and for evening something or another... Came to 80+ euro per person per week. Then you have to pay for Wifi, pool towels, table tennis, shuttle bus etc.. So not all inclusive. Food was very poor no more than 2* - limited options, more like eating in a works canteen than a restaurant even for evening meal. Just big terrines of stuff. Everything was self service - no other options on drinks other than what is in the machines (all syrups) tea and coffee and including wine and beer. Pizza restaurant was better at least they brought it to your table - otherwise bit like Pizza Hut. Between meals snacks - few crisps and nut between 5-6 - get there early to take advantage. Pictures on website do not describe the experience of food. Room - view was stunning, bathroom nice, bedroom tired. Not suitable for people not able to walk up and down stairs easily as no lifts. This is like no other all inclusive that we had been to - it was just limited choice full board - take it or leave it. Mostly we left it... No bananas available after breakfast! Our AI drinks finished at 10PM even though entertainment still going.
