Low flow shower head combines with half open shower stall makes showering a cold experience. Room is clean. Bed is comfortable. Location is great. Parking is pricy but convenient (easy in and out, extended length).

We came to visit relatives in the Cambridge area. This hotel was near everything we needed to get to but the best part was how friendly the staff is and how clean the hotel is. It was a very comfortable stay. I would stay here again.

We stayed at the Harvard Square Hotel in order to be near the American Reparatory Theater and a restaurant we wanted to visit. We were extremely pleased with not only the location but also the quality of the hotel. It was extremely clean, the staff was very accommodating, and the price was quite reasonable. A very welcome bonus was the availability of on-site parking right by the front door. We will deinitely stay here again!

It's literally just a lobby with a coffee machine, and 6 floors of rooms, but, considering it's in the middle of Harvard Square, the primo location more than makes up for it. Good wi-fi, comfortable and clean rooms, and helpful staff. My only complaint is that the light in the small hallway between the sleeping area and the bathroom in my room burned out by Day 2, and no-one replaced it. Obviously that's not housekeeping's responsibility, but I assumed that they would pass the information on someone who could fix it. In spite of this, I'd highly recommend this for someone coming to the Boston area on a budget.

It’s not luxurious—don’t expect robes or fancy toiletries— but up to date, clean, and serviced daily and attentively. Front desk staff took care of any requests (e.g., extra blanket) immediately and happily. Coffee in lobby is good and available 24/7.

Things went missing from my room and the staff was pretty unresponsive about it. I am still waiting on the compensation I discussed with the owner after providing proof of having to replace my things. The walls are also very thin so you hear everything in the rooms next to you. The paper products are uncomfortable to use, and the sheets on my bed were dirty even after housekeeping replaced them. Overall, not the quality I expected. The location is convenient, but there are a lot of other hotels in that area I would suggest trying instead. I would consider updating this review if I did receive the compensation I was promised.

The hotel was convenient. The staff was great. The hotel is super clean. However, you will burn up at night. Opening a window should not serve as a modern function to cool your room. You will have no control over the temperature. At least I didn't freeze in Cambridge, but boy was the heat crunk! My nose bled it got so hot. I couldn't rest well. Too hot at night.

I was beyond impressed with the service provided at the Harvard Square Hotel. The manager, Richard Carbone, was incredibly accommodating to me and my cohort attending a conference at Harvard University, the checking in and out was incredibly easy, and the location of the hotel puts you in the proximity of countless brilliant minds and amenities. Completely worthwhile stay and would come again!
