Had a great stay at the Hyatt Regency in Boston/Cambridge. The room with a balcony was a little small and could maybe use some updating but everything was clean and worked well. Restaurant/Bar had good apps and breakfast, with an acceptable bar selection.
Great location and view but not a lot of public transport or shops around. Updated and clean rooms, comfy beds. Restaurant is OK but the cafe in lobby is great- drinks, food, snacks and good work space.
The hotel itself is very nice with beautiful views. There’s not much that you can walk to quickly nearby. There is no microwave available for guest use at all. Housekeeping barged in on us even though I met her at the door and declined service. She came in with a big trash bag and was spraying cleaner while we were sitting there trying to eat our breakfast. Beds were comfortable, but bathroom, especially the shower, was really small.
This hotel is the most convenient one in Boston! It is near Fenway, TD Garden, minutes from the Harbor. Any and everything you could possibly want to do in Boston is within minutes of this hotel. Great rooms and an exciting restaurant/bar.
All have been wonderful, but Tom was especially helpful this last stay (3/2/23-3/3/23). My Dad fell in the revolving door and Tom rushed over to help him (so did the head of valet parking). The lovely woman at the front desk on morning of 3/3/23 (her name begins with an "S") has also been amazing. Great people, we will definitely continue to stay there. It's also a beautiful hotel (very clean) with great views, right on the Charles River.
The only issue was breakfast everything else was superb. The staff were incredibly accommodating and the cleanliness was very noticeable. I would recommend the hyatt to anyone traveling to Boston it was wonderful.
Rooms were terrible. Food was bad. Rats in garage. People falling because they don’t clean up the snow. They don’t compensate you for terrible service. Rooms smelt so bad. They had to get us another room.
Easy walking distance from MIT, Harvard, or BU. Nice view of the Charles river. Overnight parking is expensive. Comfortable beds. Did not eat breakfast there but walked to local bakery in Harvard Square.
We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency during a weekend getaway to Boston and were delighted to meet Nick Curran during the check in process. He was so friendly and helpful, he made us feel immediately welcome and is honestly the reason we had such a great weekend at this hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel, great location and helpful staff. Nick just sealed the deal on why we would choose to stay here again and again!
I am a Cambridge resident and regularly have a drink at the bar . On recent visit , I noticed what appeared to be two managers or supervisors eyeballing the bartender’s from both ends of the bar . It’s just an uncomfortable feeling being steered at while providing a service. Both bar employees ( Adriana and Emiliano) are very welcoming.
