Stayed in Boston for business March 22-24 at the Fairfield Inn Cambridge. Great location, close enough to downtown and nearby T station. Rooms were small, but well appointed with everything you would expect (during Covid). No ice machines on the floors, but the front desk would accommodate by providing ice from kitchen. There are plenty of nearby dining options and the front desk staff had menus and recommendations for ordering delivery.

Upon check in at around 6pm, the room was unusually hot. The blinds were up and the room got full sun, so I attributed it to just baking all day in the sun. I turned the air down and hoped the a/c would catch up quickly. Upon returning from work the next day and the room was still not cool. I spoke to Housekeeper on my floor and she phoned down to the front desk. Kris responded almost immediately and checked the unit, still blowing warm air. After some testing, Kris had me moved to the same corner room, just one floor up. He followed up once I got settled to make sure everything was fine with the new room. It was indeed.

It seems like this kind of service should be commonplace when traveling, but too many times you wait far too long for a response. Staffs are stretched thin due to Covid, and they're doing the best they can. The level of professionalism Kris showed was perfect. He was attentive, listed to my concern and dealt with it in a timely manner. Kudos to Kris and the Marriott Boston Cambridge, will definitely be staying here again.

Kris Michelle and Gabby were the three front desk employees that I saw during my stay these last 4 days/3 nights. They were helpful with every question and accommodating. Friendly and made me feel very safe. The mornings were enjoyable in the lobby, breakfast bar is closed but they had goodie bags for breakfast at the front desk with a different sweet quote on each bag for the each guest. Their covid/quarantine protocols for social distancing were safe and clean and not overdone like other hotels have made me feel. I am so overly satisfied with my stay here and I will stay here again next time I’m in Boston. ❤️

This was our 3rd visit to the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Cambridge. As always, we were extremely satisfied with our experience.

The hotel's location in Cambridge is at walking distance to Boston Downtown and Harvard Square which made our trip way more enjoyable.

Unlike most hotels, Fairfield Inn doesn't give its customers trouble with internet connection: we never had any issues connecting to or using their free WiFi connection.

The rooms are cleaned regularly, the staff is kind and the facilities are easily accessible.

We stayed in this hotel during the summer and the chilly Boston winter, and Fairfield Inn & Suites was the best choice for both seasons.

And finally, as a person who stayed in the hotel before the pandemic, the hotel was fully prepared for the Covid-19 pandemic and took reasonable precautions following the guidelines.

It was a pleasure staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites for both me and my family.

To be fair, we stayed during covid. I know Boston and this trip was for some medical appointments and we just needed the cheapest possible hotel in the area with parking.

I think the best point was the "easy in and easy out" access from parking to main roads. The price was very cheap - maybe $110 a night. The building is nice and seems fresh. The room was good except we could hear the busy road below.

The worst part for me was that since it was covid time, there was no housekeeping unless you had a long stay. I wasn't told this in advance and we left a pile of wet towels and came back to them at 9pm that day. This was very gross. (I wold have left them hanging but you know how hotels these days say that if you leave them hanging it means that you want to reuse them... etc.). Since there was no housekeeping, you could not get new coffee and tea for your room unless you go down to reception to ask. I want to suggest to the management that they give extra amenities to your guests especially since you know how long they stay and so you can give them 2 or 3 nights worth of items. It is simply common sense.

This hotel is my "go to" for business travel when I frequent East Cambridge. The rooms are a great value and now that Lechmere Station is up and running it is even more convenient if you plan on taking the train. There are numerous places to grab meals within walking distance and Galleria Mall is a couple of blocks away as well. The staff are great and I have relied on Tommy at the front desk to help with any issues as he is very responsive and flexible to work with when you need something. They also offer a free and convenient breakfast if you need to eat before you start your day.

They definitely worked hard to make this a great experience. The staff was super friendly and responsive. The location is becoming better and better as the area continues to develop and the new train stations/lines continue to be finished. Their bar and any evening food service are still out of commission, so they seem to have put extra effort into their breakfast that's included in the rate. I've NEVER said this about any hotel free breakfast, but it was outstanding. Their hot features were a standout to the point that I asked where they got their supplies. Again, an absolute first for me. It was quality and filling. They also offer up large to go boxes and encourage you to take food with you. They have the regular stuff, but their hot food is great and the fruit is fresh. Next trip to Boston, this will be our local home again.

I was not aware that there is a Green line train behind this property. So please keep this in mind when booking here. If you are a light sleeper this location is definitely NOT for you.

They really don't know how to treat their Platinum Elite customers. Ran out of complimentary water bottles and would not give one from the Market corner as a courtesy and had to run outside at 10 pm to get some water.
Upon going in the room, found out that the room is right at the level of the train and the amount of noise it makes it absolutely ridiculous and keep in mind that the train runs till past midnight and the back up again at 5:00 am. Each time the train passes the entire room shakes and you can feel the vibration...
Looking at other reviews this is not new and still the property ignores to do anything about it especially when they charge high rates.
They can at least invest in sound proofing those rooms which have the issues.
Not that the rooms facing the Main Street are any better, as cars go by all night with a lot of noise.
At the rates they charge there are a lot of different options in the area which everyone should consider

The hotel is a wonderfully updated, clean and functional property. Prior to Covid it had a bar and light food restaurant. The rooms are good-sized, well furnished and again impeccably clean. The staff is always available and ready to help. But what really makes this property exceptional his location. There is easy parking behind the property, but it is a bit expensive. But from the property itself there is a subway line, Lechmere, right across the street as well as a Dunkin’ Donuts. From Lechmere you can reach about anywhere especially downtown Boston in the theater district. But at the other end the subway can take you to Kendall Square, Harvard Square and Boston University and Boston College area. But just a short walk on numerous restaurants and clubs and quite honestly even Kendall Square is no more than a 10 to 15 minute walk. The view is not exceptional, but as they say it could be worse. I highly recommend this property for business, romantic getaway or family travel

Had an excellent stay at this hotel very convenient to public transportation and onwards to the lovely sites of Boston. Hotel staff all very friendly and helpful and room felt clean and was comfortable. Also enjoyed the breakfast selection and lady on duty was keeping tables all clean after use and the area where food was served. I was very impressed with this hotel and will be back when in the Boston area. Nice work team and keep it up!

Associate who handled check in was a nice guy. He got us a two bedded room (which I had booked but was unavailable) On the other hand, they were less than helpful when I had attempted to change my reservation

I was unimpressed.

Bed was uncomfortable

Breakfast - on Memorial Day - ended at 9am or so I was told

They charged me for parking but did not warn me. Grrr
