Detailed Reviews
On Booking.com or the property it initially said shared bathroom, but then when I said I don’t want to share a bathroom I want a private bathroom it still gave me the options. The lack of bathrooms and showers is a problem for this property for about 10 rooms that is around 30 to 40 guests and just two bathrooms per floor and there are just 3 to 4 showers for about hundred guests. This is a lot of guests and way less bathrooms. The cost of the property does not match the Services and the amenities so even though that the property was in a good location and clean, this is not going to work out for families.

If one can have better choice, no one is willing to stay in a ‘hotel’ like this. We chose Kverna Guesthouse because it was the last pick we could have on trip.com. Even we checked private bathroom, the platform delivered Kverna to us without mentioning the toilet and bathroom are public, not to mention shabby bedding, slow (not) hot water and damaged shower head in bath room. Does the hotel management really care about the feeling of their customers who end up a day climbing Skogafoss slope and expect a good shower and sleep?
Turned to a hotel from a boarding school in greenery surroundings, Kverna spoiled this place’s history and its natural beauty by charging customers high ($205 USD per night) without providing worthy service. I am also shocked to see ‘best seller’ in Trip Advisor platform which is kind of misleading.
The interesting thing is, when not providing qualified service, the hotel management is so concerned to customer’s behavior. A ‘humorous’ warning is placed everywhere in breakfast room, asking guest not to take away food from the room.
Never go there.

If I knew where I was staying, I truly wouldn’t stay even if you paid me €1000 a day.
For €200 nearly a night I got a horrible room (reminiscent of low class student dormitory), a sink which was dripping , and above all a COLD room. I nearly fell sick both nights. As for the showers, HORRIBLE! Personally, I didn’t want to shower in these DIY shower cabins not worth more than €2 !!!!!! At €200 a night you share bathrooms!!!!!!!
Close your establishment ! A total Disgrace to hospitality !

+1
They have a wonderful team and serve an amazing breakfast. While the rooms and bathrooms are old, everything is kept very clean. The guesthouse exudes charm and hospitality, making it a cozy and welcoming place to stay. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience, and the serene ambiance adds to its appeal. Perfect for those seeking comfort and a homely atmosphere.

Shithole... or at least close
First of all the positive, the check in ran smoothly and quickly.
Then we went into the room... very clairvoyant, the paint peels off the wall, the heating is broken...
The there are two showers in the corridor for a whole 11 rooms per floor about the condition I do not want to comment further.
Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else

Very nice place for a hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. Amazing for going with children. Breakfast was also very good, and the personal was advising us for new places to visit. It was also super clean.
I went with my daughter, and she loves the space they have for the children can play.
