This was the most basic hotel we stayed at on our trip through the South coast--tiny room, amenities in the room were limited and the bathroom was a bit stinky of sulfur and the bathroom linens tiny and thin. Nonetheless we found the beds quite comfortable and got a very good night's sleep here, but given the small basic room I wouldn't have wanted to stay here for multiple nights. The restaurant dinner was pretty good and it was nice to be right at Skogafoss first thing in the morning. Breakfast was really nice!

Clearly the worst value Award of our stay. There was nothing left for vik, so we landed here in front of the fall of skogafoss (magnificent). For the rest , the Award of the room is exorbitant (450€) for a basic room in its juice. Carpeted floor...and a huge but empty bathroom with a poor shower curtain and battens to form the shower tray.... we still had a double bed this is not necessarily the case in all hotels.
The buffet breakfast is the closest thing to our Pension Standards and is more provided than we could have on other days. Mentiok special for carrot cake. Nice staff. But that doesn't make up for the amazing Award that corresponds to 4/5* hotels.

Not the best experience . Bit like staying in the Crossroads motel.

Ended up in a room with bunks in the corner. Felt like a storeroom. Bathroom with no where to put anything down. Poor pillows. Just dreadful

Restaurant like a motorway service area cafe

Wouldn’t return

The hotel is quite close to a beautiful waterfall which provides the opportunity to explore before or after the crowd of tourists have all left.

The staff were all very nice and accommodating. The room was of medium size and very comfortable. We used the attached restaurant and were very happy with the service and the food quality.

Overall a good experience and we would stay there again if ever in that area.

We stayed here one night as part of our 2 weeks Ring Rd trip. We like the location a lot. Within a few minutes of walking to Skogafoss. The room was clean and nice. However, the bathroom setup was strange. It was big but lacking shelves. The breakfast was decent. We also had dinner at the onsite restaurant. The food and service were good.

This has to be one of the worst hotels I've stayed at, and I paid almost $300 for a night. Where to start....

- Never received any code or anything by email. - - - Had to call them the evening of check in and got a code to enter and my room number.
- Room was TINY, and the bed so small I couldn't even sleep on my side and spread my legs.
- Had to kill at least 4 flies inside the room.
- Water smell is horrible, as if it's straight from the geyser.
- Cheap soap from a dispenser in the bathroom.
- Curtain doesn't shut properly so people can see inside the room.
- You can hear EVERYTHING outside your room, and between rooms. No sound proofing at all.
- Hot tub was filthy.

Overall it feels like a house that has been converted to a hotel in a very shoddy way. Stay away at all costs. My hotel reviews are always very fair, but I'm in disbelief at this one, especially given how much I paid.
