Detailed Reviews
The hotel is located in an isolated area. It offers terrific rooms, spacious, quiet and comfortable.. The restaurant is somewhat expensive, but makes up for it with a very fine menu, expertly prepared. we had the lamb tartare, scallops chicken and trout, all extremely enjoyable. Breakfast, which is included is wonderful.Highly recommend.

The best hotel in Iceland. The extremely talented hotel manager Loreyn was fantastic. She gave us a free upgrade and welcomed us every day with a big smile. We felt like being in our own living room during our stay. A real Gem. Thanks Loreyn and team, you are wonderful

+1
We stayed two nights at this magnificent hotel. It was warm and cozy with the nicest people we have ever met working there. The restaurant serves amazing food. The Spa was top notch. Seeing the Icelandic horses was a highlight.
The rooms were very spacious and cozy. We couldn’t have picked a better spot to spend a couple nights in Iceland.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while travelling and exploring the southern areas of Iceland. This is truely one of those small boutique country house hotels in the middle of nowhere.
Reception staff were excellent. Very helpful. The lady manager was very accommodating and helpful and seemed eager to please. Oddly, the restaurant staff also doubled up at reception. Multitasking.
The room I got was a suite, which was adequately sized but has the smallest bathroom I’ve ever encountered! I could hardly shower properly! The water pressure from the shower was weak. The sink was very small and everything in the bathroom was very cramped. That made the whole experience rather bad for me.
The bed was ok. Not firm enough. Pillows way too soft for my liking. The hotel had no firm pillows.
You’d have to ask for amenities such as room slippers, etc. There was no body lotion provided.
I found some of the furniture to be very old and dusty and there was sand on the bench in the bedroom. Not enough luggage racks provided.
The best thing about the hotel was the breakfast. A very nice selection of fruits, cold cuts, cereals and breads / pastries.
The same restaurant is where you’d have your dinner. The food was good but not great.
The northern lights are often visible from this hotel as it’s very dark outside at night.

this is charming well located small hotel. The problem with it is the size of the and design bathrooms and the lack of shelves and closet space... The staff is great and whether there are better alternatives in the area iIdo not know.

The hotel was exceptional and cozy and everyone was so friendly. The rooms were very clean. The Eyjafjalla horse back riding tour gave us a chance to see Iceland’s hidden landscape off the beaten path. Annika was our guide and this was the highlight of our week here. Like the other review, this hotel is a real gem.

We were greeted upon arrival with the biggest smile and every staffer we met the couple of days we stayed at the hotel could not have been nicer. Our room was comfortable and having a view of the Westman Islands and the sun pouring into our room (obviously constantly because of the time of the year ;-) was so wonderful. We needed to take advantage of their lift to bring our luggage up to our room and it was so helpful. But what really impressed us was the staff, and they're from all over the world. The owners know how to interview and bring in the sweetest, most helpful young people.

Room Tip: We loved using their hot tub and sauna but be aware it's an extra cost. But it is well worth it.

Awesome location rooms and service. Didn’t ride horses but that would have been a great addition. Incredible fine dining dinner and breakfast. Definitely would return for a longer stay.
