Detailed Reviews
We stayed here with two teenagers and it was the perfect set-up for us. Each building is modern, unique and feels very private. The first floor has a living area with a nice kitchenette, a bathroom (sink is too small), and a bedroom. There is a private deck. The upstairs loft room has 2 additional beds. The group of 8 buildings is very easy to access off the main road. There are no staff members or amenities, but the instructions are very clear.

Small cluster of 8 or so units (all looked identical) set within a semi-circle to preserve privacy. They are located just off (but far enough away to give feeling that secluded) road 1, so nice and easy to get to and to use as base for visiting surrounding area. The unit is compact but well laid out with an attractive decor giving it a luxurious feel. It doesn't have an oven/grill so be mindful of that when deciding if going to cook.
We only stayed here for 1 night as we were travelling around but would definitely recommend this place.

+1
Amazing experience! The cabin was super spacious, super comfortable and the location is truly amazing. I’d stay in either the apartment or the single cabin that are all beautiful. Breakfast is served the next morning in an adorable tray with bagged bread. It’s just awesome.

Beware if your plans may change at the last minute. They will not budge on a refund, even if it's because the country had extreme winds and a storm that shut down roads for 2 days. The roads were closed, barricaded, and we could not travel to arrive to this property for our reservation. We were stuck for 3 nights at one hotel, instead of being there for one night, thus missing our reservation here. This property offered another night, but did not have availability until over 6 days after our original reservation, which does no good since we were home at that point. I reached out to them as soon as we realized the roads were still closed. They were not very compassionate or understanding, whatsoever. They were the only hotel to deny giving any sort of refund. It was disappointing, as I was really looking forward to staying here, so losing out on the experience and then losing out on the funds was a double whammy. We ended up staying at the Glacier View Guesthouse in Hrifunes, which was wonderful! The host was so welcoming and gracious and they served a family style dinner that was incredible. And it was so nice talking with other travelers and sharing experiences. I highly recommend them!

Do NOT stay here. Due to a horrible accident, where people died, we were unable to make it to this hotel. They promised us a certain refund, which we never received and of course also blocked us/ stopped responding to us. We had an incredible time in Iceland meeting the nicest people, but this place as nice as it might look - is not worth it. They clearly do not know what Þetta Reddast means..

My family (2 adults, one teen) did a two week road trip with ten accommodations and this was one of our two favorites. It’s absolutely gorgeous, brilliantly laid out, and has everything one needs. It’s in a beautiful location and close to so many things. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay longer in the future - everything about it was inspirational and peaceful.

We arrived here as part of a road trip organised by Guide to Iceland. The most unusual of our accommodation. Self catered huts, very cosy, great 'Glamping' feel. Incredible stars at night and would be a great place to see the Northern Lights.

The design of the shower on the cabins is not correct, the bathroom flooded after every shower. We payed a high price and did not have breakfast. Prefer stay in another hotel if you are a couple, there are way better options just around the corner. They tried to contact us around midnight to arrange a maintenance, we were sleeping already. Very disappointed.
